I just got the Pistol myself. Just set your spawn location to "last", stand near the Plaza and start hopping between public lobbies. The event spawned on my second attempt but I couldn't pick up the pistol. Two more attempts and I finally got it. Easily done.
I can't loot it too ! I'm so pissed I have to retry again

I can’t get the weapon, I killed them all and it just appears a blue point in the map but nothing happens.
@@jordimoguel2193 then you have to try again. It can sometimes get bugged. For me, I got it after the second time I killed them all (in a different lobby)

For those who have the event glitching out, keep jumping into new sessions until the event appears again, fire the Up-n-Atomizer at the guys feet so he flies off the building and falls to the ground. The gun will not glitch out and it can be picked up. This is what I did.

!IMPORTANT!
You need at least 2 players in a session for the event to spawn, so find a friend or do it in a open lobby

I just had it pop up for me and I’m playing in an invite only session by myself I was laying down in my nightclub while eating some churches and then as I was flying around the building boom popped up for me just to let anyone know doesn’t seem like it requires people if you wait long enough 👌🏻

Confirmed, did exactly as said and when found it in public lobby, killed the guy, no pistol. Ffs
Edit: after many hours driving around Luxury Autos, it finally spawned legit and got the gun
And this was precipitated by walking for hours (12++) around town and afking in a car by LS Car Meet for the Gooch. Basically im glad i never have to do this EVER AGAIN.

For those that can’t pick up you have to be the one to kill him to pick up I believe
On invite only session, it took 3hrs for the event to appear, it is good since I grind hard.
I only join public lobby to help grinders and clean griefers.

I did this one last year. The hardest part was that the bad guy dropped the gun in the snow and I couldn't see it. I'm running back and forth trying to get the vague blue dot on my radar, because that's the only indication where it is. I's really just a two minute task to get a limited availability gun that's not even that good.

Wow!!! I had no idea this was a secret or limited thing!!! My agency is near that building so I was just grinding contracts in an invite only lobby and the blue dot popped up. I spawned my oppressor and just flew up there out of curiosity. I had no idea what was going on. So I blew everybody up and landed... Checked the situation out and a prompt to pick up a pistol came up. I was like humph... Cool. Lo-and-behold, it's EASILY the best pistol in the whole game, and if I'm not mistaken, tomorrow morning it's no longer there to obtain 😂 this may be the luckiest thing that's ever happened to me in this game lololol

There are other requirements, because I joined a public lobby, waited until 8pm, and nothing

@@balintkurucz7245 you should put your spawn point to last location, go near the tower and join another lobby
Took me a while to do it, got very unlucky, and took me about 2 hours of trying. I tried flying in and out of the area repeatedly to get it to spawn. Also, it can spawn anytime between 8pm to 6am.

I've been trying to get this pistol for 3 years now and only a few times has the event ever triggered and when it does it's glitched out and you can't pick up the gun.

I finally got it!! If the Dot on the top of the building is BLUE it won’t work. The dot on the top of the building must be RED to work. If it’s blue it means someone already picked it up in that session. Hope this helps Happy Hopping 😂

literally had this happen consistently every year it’s bullshit the gun drops in the snow and through the building so you can’t pick it up because it’s technically under the map

@xxxxxx6343 you have to wait a certain time bro. For example for the pistol thing to spawn, the server must be up for atleast 20 min. And the time should be from 8 pm to 6 am as the vid says. And for the grinch I guess the server must be on for atleast 45 min.

I just make it so every pistols has a purpose, combat is for stealth, heavy is for spamming npcs, d50 is for headshots, and basic is for just a nice clean normal pistol

I could not get it to spawn in an invite only lobby alone so i set my spawn point to last location, went there and kept on switching sessions between 8pm and 6am. About 15 times it took, i saw a blue dot on top of the building so i went up there and actually got it. I guess someone else killed the guy and didnt or couldnt get the gun. Im very happy because i tried last year and couldnt get it. I wish everyone else luck on this. Also i heard to shoot the up and atomizer at the crooks feet to launch him to the ground and the gun may be easier to pick up from down there. Merry Xmas errbody

Tbh I just use the MK II Pistol since mostly all enemies use the regular pistol. Kind of a endless ammo grief if you ask me😂🙌🏾

It never popped up for me in a private lobby. It pops up in a public session right away. As long as it’s between 22:00 to 6:00. But closer to 22:00. You can just jump lobby’s. Mk2 oppressor is highly recommended. I went to grab Helicopters but the event disappears literally after minutes
Also got this event on the update Day around 21:58 GTA time
Either it doesn't spawn in a private lobby at all or it needs more than one person, public lobbies work, but may take some time

i had a random who was off radar (outta sight) gatekeeping the pistol, he atomized me off the building as i was picking up the pistol luckily i had a parachute. still got the pistol afterwards but i had to wait until he left

I spent a lot of time the last 2 years trying to get this event to spawn but it never did. Literally respawning in 100+ public lobbies and never saw it. Maybe I'll get lucky this year.

@optcarchive8058 I did it, I used the up and atomizer to bounce him off the roof (like the movie), and when I got to his body on the floor, it worked straight away.

Looks like I am properly jinxed. I have been trying for days and only encountered the event twice. First time when I got to the roof and killed that guy it already passes 06:00 so there is no gun. The second time I killed the guy but the gun was bugged and can’t be picked up. How such a simple event could be so tedious.

So I tried and tried and it kept bugging out for me. But if you are first there for the event. It had to show a "cutscene" like you are focused in on a helicopter that gets rpg'd and after that kill the guys on the roof and then I was able to obtain the pistol
