Agreed, I have a soft spot for Bulova so had a tinge of disappointment when I saw this one, not a fan of square watches. I recently bought the 96B158 for under £200, totally insane price for a Precisionist, even for an outgoing model and it's a gorgeous watch, photos do not do it justice.
So I went into debt and bought a Tudor snowflake in 1980. I wanted a Rolex but they were about $1300 too much for me. It took me six months to pay the Tudor off. The watch was $800 and I think the interest cost me about 85 bucks. Now worth at least $20,000 +. I’m glad I went into debt to buy the watch.

the Santos is a great proposition, finding a genuine used one at a good price can be difficult as so many fakes out there. The Purlan marri had a nice aesthetic, reminded me of the 70s Philip Caribbean 5000 case, not many modern iterations of that about, so maybe worth picking up.

Love to get the Bulova SS in Gold version. Just got a Zelos Thresher, Seiko Speedtimer “Pogue”, Bulova “Lunar Pilot” and a Trafford Watch limited edition. No watch money. 😢😢
The bulova SS is a solid sub 1k alternative to the presidential- the bracelet is ok and you could always swap it out. Maybe for the next generation they make a slightly better bracelet and a bigger case, but Bulova tends to stick under 1k.
Any g shock square you like is a must buy. I bought the one with multi band 6 and tough Solar. If I had to keep one watch it would be my Rolex explorer. If I could only keep 2, the g shock would be the second without a question.

The Vulcain would have gotten my money but the black bezel doesn't make sense to me. If it matched the dial, I would have scooped it up as soon as it dropped. Love everything else about that watch.

Yes that's the problem, especially outside the US where few people have the same level of disposable income and stuff is usually far more expensive anyway. There are options though, like the Furlan Marri, Baltic do similar designs for a fraction of the price and to be honest I've never seen the point of going overboard on price when buying a watch. It's something that's always likely to get easily marked no matter what you do, so why spend thousands? What I do like though is this guy does come up with something different that you don't normally see on most other channels. Quite like the Citizen Promaster Land for about £550 in the UK, great looking watch if you like that sort of style.

Recently I bought the citizen promaster land, and it's a great watch, I went with the rubber band one, but initially I was looking for the green one, but the cordura band is fewer adjusting holes and it's more stiffer than the rubber one.
I'd be mindful of your pronunciation of Bel Canto with your accent. Had to rewind and listen back because I thought I heard something quite different 😂

Funnily enough, MAMACOO's replicas are perfect for people who can actually afford a luxury watch. Because in those social circles, it wouldn't matter and everybody would just assume it's real. You have a yacht and a beach house in Tuscany, of course that replica is real. There isn't a millionaire out there going around with a jeweller's loupe to scrutinize their acquaintance's watch. They'll just go "Oh is that a Patek? Nice, I should really get my hands on one of those, they look great."
The Toledano and Chan seems way overpriced. Sorry..... but an ETA movement in a stainless case?!? $4000? If Breitling were to do this people would be screaming all over the place... and Breitling is a HUGE LUXURY name .... not the name of two unknown nobodies. It is unique in shape and design and would be a hit at half the price. At $4000 I think people were taken for a ride.

A Swiss citizen , born and raised in Switzerland , told me 25 years ago that Tissot watches are the finest Swiss watch made .

The Baltic Prismic Stone Dial is a great looking watch and versatile size with 20mm lugs. I have the Jade version.
