In this video i show you around my personal vehicle , my 2008 Volvo C30
these are my opinions on the vehicle after 9 months of ownership. its been a fairly reliable 9 months up until a few ago today. aside from my driver mirror being taken off by a careless driver while i was parked on the street , the car isn't a terrible investment. this car does have two accidents reported on the title which is why i was able to get the car at the price i purchased it and if you can find one with low miles and they have the potential to be awesome commuters. if you have the mod itch , after some bolt ons and a tune you can easily hit 275hp/275tq numbers very easily.
    stay tuned for more.
coming soon for my channel will be more tours of other vehicles and ill be experimenting with some more vlog style content

Interesting comment about the instrument lighting. Actually, the red color like you find in Audi or the amber color you find in a Mercedes, also minimize eye strain during night driving just as the green lighting does in SAABs and Volvos. What you want to avoid are anything with blue lighting. The blue light is very bad for your eyes.

I didn’t know that about amber , I always thought red lighting was bad for the eyes just like blue

Thinking about buying one of these. How do they perform in the winter? Before this, I had been driving a Volvo V70 and it was alright in the winter, but nothing compared to an 850. Also curious how reliable it has been for you as far as maintenance goes?

Hobojimmeh well I guess I didn’t touch on reliability. I think ( from reading around) this gen has some issues with coolant line. Personally my c30 left me stranded once, car overheated. I had an issues with coolant leaking , so for the few weeks prior to selling I had to fill the coolant every 3-5 days , I also would check it every other cold start. In the winter , no issues. I don’t want to deter you from buying one but my personal car was bought with 130k and it was a salvage vehicle so as long as you find one that’s been maintained and not salvaged you should be ok . They’re (imo ) better than the gti in terms of engine performance but the interior is lack luster unless you get a later model

@@Neptune8 Thank you for getting back to me! The coolant hoses seem to be the biggest problem from what I've read but from what you've mentioned, it seems like a pretty good car. I don't mind the interior because I do like simple but is it a comfortable interior? I'm 5'7" so I'm hoping this car will fit me alright. Also wondering how does the stock speaker system sound? (sorry for all the questions haha)

I’m 6’1 and drove it home 800 miles after purchasing, the headrest is the most comfortable I’ve put my head on. Sound system is average, might be worth upgrading the speakers. But to be honest I always used headphones.
No problem. I make these videos to help to people

Yours doesn't appear to be Xenon...and not all of them come with Xenon. My daughters 2013 did! My 2008 did not.
