Joe echoes a common sentiment. Depending on what era Jag you have one may expect a few foibles. But, rarely in life do we have the opportunity to appreciate rolling art and engage with it in such a personal way. Have had 7 Jaguars from the 80's on. Love them. Stay on top of maintenance. And, I have a nicely padded, leather - lined rocketship to drive around.
Only own Jags after owning Lincoln, Audi, Mercedes and Alfa Romeo. The quality of materials in the late 82-97 models are beyond anything except a Bentley. Just don't let them sit in stormy weather for years and keep your engine hoses and electrical dry and in good condition and they run well over 150K without much fuss
One of Jaguar's best automobiles. The ultimate family car or highway cruiser, with the power to back it up. I always loved that "J GATE" shifter in those cars.
One of these showed up this morning at cars and coffee and it was beat up badly I was the only one who knew what the XJR 100 was because I owned one brand new in 2002. This is such a great looking car all these years later.
Brother "J", had an XJR (not the 100) in the late 80's and still miss it.........very close to a mini limousine but with a nitrous tank in the trunk.........If I could find another today in concours condition I would take it down in a second so keep your eyes open for me please..........your guys work is 12 on 10, tip of the top, and best of the best As ALWAYS..........keep on keeping an OLD car guy happy and on the edge of his rocking chair! ❣
I drove a 2001 Jaguar XJR just like this one for years - except it had the nicer 'Asteroid' OEM alloy wheels. Really a very simple suspension system that was better for servicing than my 5 and 7 series BMW's I've owned afterwards. A complex engine and its systems but very reliable once the timing chain tensioners were replaced. On the looks side - the best of the best although the backseat is tiny compared to the 2006 750Li I had. The transmission was superior in the Jaguar to the BMW 7 series which was a source of aggravation from time to time. BMW used plastic connectors from the valve body which tended to crack and cause issues. The Jaguar 5 speed auto (German made) was sealed for life (400,000 km) they said and was always perfect.
It looks incredible from underneath!! Most the jags around here in Germany are badly rotten …top above , spooky down where no customer it will ever see 😖 Btw …fantastic job as always 👌🏻
Just wow attention to detail and of course the latest technology.... I'm British so perhaps biased but, that is one beautiful car. I'm so old that I remember British cars, particularly Jags being world leaders in style (yes I know that model is from Ford owned era but allow us the illusion); now can hardly tell one make from another. Sorry America for that burning down the Whitehouse thing. Please enjoy seeing this vehicle, in its expertly detailed guise, on the road as compensation.
no issues with my 9 Jags as long as they are properly maintained. The problem with Jaguar was, that being much cheaper than Mercedes or BMW, the wrong volks did buy them - who could not afford the Mercedes but (tightly) the Jags and 90% of all Jags did not get proper maintanance...
I own the XJR100 and the XKR100 since 2011- only once I had to substitute fuel pump after winter pause. They are extremely reliable. I´m German and I know about technology and engines- The BMW and Mercedes are more prone to break down as many parts as chains are too weak etc....
@@fatersaadatniaki I do not know from first experiance as I do not own the last generation. The 308 is my "youngster" and I know that from 2003 almost every producer had to follow their controlers and engineers had no vote anymore. Jaguar is to small to survive....
I had a jaguar and they are pretty solid mechanically their weakpoint is their electrical parts wires, switches, sensors. I asked a few mechanics about how servicable they are from their perspective and they all said it’s much easier than a Bmw. They never said anything bad about jaguars. Even in England said the same things. What makes hard to solve some problems on Jaguars is that Coventry not giving out a lot of technical informations. Forget obd readers or other high graded computer diagnostic systems. You have to go to the dealership for the most accurate results. I also saw that many times even their own mechanics are being left in trouble because of the company is trying to keep as much informations to themself as possible.
XJ is one of the most beautiful cars and highly underrated for its beauty. Great work!
I had a S type for almost 20 years and I'm searchng an XJ like this one ! ... I had many cars , but a Jag' is something !
Ive owned 3 and am seeking a fourth@ericodiot2915
One of the most beautiful sedans ever made!
Gorgeous! When these Jags are right, they are whiskey-smooth and sleeper-fast! Happy Sunday boys 🏁🏁🏁
A deadly combo! Thanks Peter! Have a great Sunday!
Wow .. there is nothing like a Jaguar. I love the old style Jags - such a classic look. This one now looks like it is right off the showroom floor.😎
Just how we like em!
Loved this era of Jaguar
Finally! Please keep doing anything other than porches!
I agree.
Porches are attached to the front of a house. Did you mean Porsches?

Gotta love the styling on all jags. Phenomenal work! And that PDR looks great too
Such classics! Thanks Craig!
I remember doing PDI's these when brand new, and doing warranty work on them. Such smooth driving, handling cars.
That's always been one of my favorite vehicles. I remember the first time I saw one, It was in forest green and was simply stunning. It was a XJR

Beautifully done stunning results 👏👏👏
That looks so good, so classy, so cool. Better looking than any modern exec saloon on sale today. A joy to see. Super job guys. Respect
Beautiful

That’s a keeper looking at how the Jaguar brand is going! 😎
Beautiful and classy. They don't build them like this anymore. Nice job as always.
They sure don't do they
That was incredible, can’t believe anyone would go to such trouble- better than top job
Une magnifique JAGUAR, le résultat est au top, continuer !!💯💯💯✌✌👍👍💪💪
highly refined. great build quailty, and mechanically v reliable. super fast and beautiful, and v comfy !!
Outstanding work!
That cat is now purring! Excellent work as always. Ahoj!
It looks very nice the only thing that kind of throws it off are the headlights a look cloudy
Best design ever makes the new ones look as inviting like a turd in the swimming pool
amen
Magnificent. The XJR is a beast!
Jaguars can very expensive to service, however when it comes to detailing them, they look very impressive.
Great video. I love those wheels.
Kerb them and you will never be able to find a replacement chrome trims in 19 inch. I speak from experience, I have had one of these for 8 years now..
Stock wheels for a 100

@kawasakiwhiptwo5821 the wheels came like that from factory. On the xjr 100 and xkr 100.

Bravo pour le travail soigné et remarquable pour redonner son lustre à une sublime Jaguar !
A work of art. The Jaaag and your detailing, Greetings from a German XJR and XJ8 addict.
No, I have owned 4 Jags including an F Type R AWD, I rate them an 8 out of 10 for looks and reliability.
Fantastic job i love jags had 4 in my time 😊
My favorite Limo ❤❤❤❤
nice job and great car
Идеальная работа. Очень круто. Холодный лёд и лазер просто потрясающе. Жду каждый выпуск с нетерпением. ❤
congratulations, i from Brasil, nice car
looks stunning. need to get my Super V8 back on the road.
I had one of the first of this model it was black with cream interior great car best at the time and very fast
Old school cool.
2:56 Jaguar!!

We have the same problem with mercedes here in the uk. Terrible build quality, junk.
Just wow… Chapeau Sir…
How long does it take in real time?
Thanks
A beautiful car, I have an XJ8 too but not a supercharged or rare 100 model.
Almost a similar car used to drive Howard Hamlin in Better call Saul. It was 1998 XJ
Have you tried detailing a Rolls by any chance? It's my favourite vehicle of course. Thank you. Nice work on this Jaguar though.
Well done and that car is outstanding what's this song too That's a tight song? The one that starts at 10 minutes
Hi, car seem clean.
Should have polished the headlight lenses too
😀 Very Good! 🎵😎🚘 cool 😊
Nice, how much a detailing like this cost?
Did the interior surfaces return to their matte finish? Or did they stay shiny which would be unfortunate. The rest of the car looks outstanding.
They will return to their factory finish, only rehydrated. The milk takes time to soak in and bring back the supple look
Factory fresh
This is superb , Would have been nice to hear the exhaust instead of the music in the end of the video
Guys where are you located? I would like to do the same to my jag, I would like to get a quote, thanks!
We are located in Costa Mesa, CA - Southern California
Clarkson: I started WW3. In my Jaaaaaggggg.
Awesome job guys. Here in the UK most Jags have rusted and need welding. Great to see one in such good condition. Keep up the great work Jakob 👍🙏

The underside wasn't exactly filthy, still nice work on a great car.
We’ve got a good filthy one coming next week
Car looked in excellent condition condition prior to cleaning? 🇬🇧🤔
In all honesty, how much was that detail? $2-3k or higher?
I will bet that job was at least 7k
@@ChristopherP-t8h I'm a detailer as well. If that is true. I need to raise my prices.
2 grand jags low down on the radar
That spare tire would stick out like a sore thumb 😅
Это стало новым, и это было новым
I'm not familiar with Jaguars. I appreciate and enjoy them, but I don't really know the models. What makes this one rare? It looks fairly typical.
Taken from mint level 1 to mint level 2
Jags are mechanical nightmare but this one is clean ASF...❤

How many times did it break down while driving between stations ?😅😂
LOL luckily zero ;)
Not as often as your camel Muhammed 😂😂😂

@ if you say so I’m going to believe you because you will put it through it’s pace. But could that be said about the last generation of XJ ?

I like the laser tech, to be fair the car isn't that bad for a Jag underneath, they are usually rot boxes ☑️

Not bad… 🤘🏻🔨😎 Came out very well. I found Jaguars to be mechanically inferior to the other luxury car brands. Do others feel this way?
