I liked when Mary chuckled during her intro as they referred to her as a "global online influencer"
I'm also hoping Mary releases her cover of Don't Stop Believing in the style of Aretha Franklin soon. Maybe the Mary Spender Trio could crank that out!

As much as I enjoy this channel, live is so much better than a recording. Mary, your set at Martin guitars was the highlight of the NAMM show for me this year - despite all the background noise. Your grace and professionalism in dealing with the audio issues they were having showed both some serious chops and a great sense of humor. Some people can just connect with an audience, and you definitely have that gift!

Thank you for continuing to produce such high quality content for those of us who are more interested in many of the nuanced elements of the music industry and the wealth of interesting musicians and luthiers. I had the privilege this year of watching you play (including standing next to your camera man while you were playing that Collings) as well as finally meet and speak to Paul Davids and Rhett Shull who I also put in that elite tier of UA-cam content creators. Seems like every NAMM I attend there are more and more interesting and passionate people that I get to meet... Can’t imagine playing in front of that crowd - I’d be more nervous in front of that bunch than 20,000 “regular folk.” Don’t they always say “the only people who pay attention to your tone and to anything more than cowboy chords are other guitarists.” How about 1000 expert guitarists?

Mary, you are so wonderfully relaxed and confident, having the great ability to mesh with so many people in the business. With being a first-class singer songwriter musician, complimented by the ability to navigate the occasional musician's ego, gatekeepers and manufacturers is an elusive skill and a plus in the music industry. I recognised Adam and Rhett from their UA-cam channel and from being on Rick Beato’s channel. They both seem genuine, talented, and knowledgeable and it is pleasing to see you all appear mates. Thanks for the video on your experience at NAMM. The only downside is I now must fight off another case of gear envy. 🖤🕉

A great, uplifting video! This was my second NAMM. I'm local and made it for two days - it's always both exhausting and invigorating. My highlight was standing in front as you played in the Martin booth (I'm wearing a mask in your video). You and your new guitar were great. Incredible tone on your new guitar. Too bad the greatness of the sound doesn't translate as well to UA-cam.
Thank you for taking a moment to chat and take some pictures after your performance. There are some nice ones. I've also some video from your performance, including the NAMM sound 'cop" that was lurking!

The NAMM show is like an Avengers movie where musicians from the extended universe all come together, I love it!
As a musicians whose primary instrument is piano/keyboards I'm disappointed that every year all of the guitars, basses, and drums all showcase the most incredible designs you've ever seen. Exotic woods, finishes, and intricate detailing. Piano and keyboard design has been incredibly stagnant from a design perspective.
I long for a keybed that doesn't use black and white keys. Give me color, give me unique materials and designs... make my instrument just as sexy as all of the others!
