What I find interesting is Jinglius Interaction with Tingyun - with a high-speed Tingyun and some additional hits by mobs on her, JingLiu can potentially get as much as 3 Ultimates before her State expires (one after start, one midway through and one on the turn the state expires). Using her Ultimate on the same turn you use up your last Syzygy stack keeps her state active while also boosting the ultimate, giving you an additional skill useage. So you can use your Skill to use up your last Syzygy stack and if you charge your Ultimate with that attack, you can immediately ultimate while still getting the Bonus from her Power State and extending her Power State by 1 turn.
I feel like they’re going to release a 5 stars character that is just perfect for her, giving a lot of healing and energy recharge. It wouldn’t be their first time doing it and it seems pretty obvious knowing there’s an abundance character on the way

Frozen condition making enemies take more turns isn't necessarily bad, even in the situation mentioned where it makes debuffs expire faster. A perfect example is using Gepard's skill (if you have E1 like me) to Freeze an enemy in a DoT team so that they effectively take more damage from their DoTs because they are taking more turns. Freeze an enemy twice and you have doubled the DoT passive damage they would have taken in that same time period. Also Pela if built right won't really have any problems with Freeze reducing her Ult uptime. Optimal Pela build uses Wind set for the action advance forward. You do know they are just gonna set things up to introduce a `freezing or debuff/buff centric unit` that extends debuff/buff turns to counterbalance it and likely have some ridiculous quirks to boot? Star rails certainly due to being turn based can make DoTs thrive better(since more action based usually makes DoTs too slow or rather introduce a system to CONSUME them to detonate them instead and re-apply them to repeat the process), but too bad the existence of content that has to be cleared in X turns or fail in rewards runs counter-balance to that, so unless you have DoT centric units which force those DoTs to expire faster but has all that DoT from those multiple turns go off at once, on top of amplifying the dmg, then yeah its obvious they will make DoT `accelerator` units to do such. Some games such as Another Eden already pulls off this gag or how most of its dmg bonus centers around having 2 particular DoT debuffs on enemies to use the effect of an equippable that increases dmg by a huge multiplier that stacks multiplicativity with eachother to lead to insane levels of damage. So unless Star rails pushes its focus on content more towards simply clearing the content and less towards needing to clear content in X amount of turns, then DoT can likely get slated to becoming useless, just to purposely introduce new units to be DoT amplifiers or `Consumers`, even more broken then the current ones.

A nice balanced character you say👀. How wonderful. Also every sustain not named Fire Trailblazer and March 7th can reasonably solo sustain most teams Luocha is the best sustain in my opinion but he is far from necessary for most people .
My thought exactly. I will be solo sustaining with my reasonably invested lynx and I think I will benfine. Sadly I suerimposed Natasha's LC to 2 instead of keeping 2 copies. Won't be doing that again but lynx still heals a ton.

Honestly, just the fact that she gets 40% free crit rate as a base completely sold her for me as someone coming over from Genshin along with Star Rail's release on the PS5. Balancing out a characters crit stats has always been a massive headache in Genshin and I'll take a slightly more complicated character to work around over hundreds of hours worth of artifact farming any day.
Starting the game two weeks ago just to get Huo Huo...did 10 pulls on Jingliu and got two copies if her. Well, hopefully Huo huo healing is good for her in 6 weeks.
I already managed to pull her, and while I'm slightly conflicted over this (since now I'm very unlikely to get Topaz who I kinda want more, and I don't have any of the 5 stars that Jingliu works best with), she is still another addition to the Yanqing bully squad, so I'm overall not upset.
im just happy to have someone other than pela for ice damage and thats why im rolling for her even after pulling on most banners only skipping super dan hengs
To that one girl who was too sad she couldnt get Blade she deleted her account with Luocha, hope ur having fun catching up up to the meta with Natasha😂
Jingliu's ultimate serves a dual purpose much like Blades. Either she can use it before transformation to gain an extra turn by entering transformation or she can use it during to keep it going longer and it dealing 20% more damage. I believe and feel that the former deal more damage.
The only case you should you it before entering buffed state is if you are running out of time. It is never worth using unbuffed ult, too many buffs is not applied: 50% crit rate, 180 atk%, and 20% dmg boost. And if you have her s1, that's also an ult not getting full LC passive bonus. And jl only get 20 energy (compared to 30) when using skill outside transmigration state so it's not like letting it cap matter much.
I think im my wallet is safe for the foreseeable future in Starrail, Since i have Jing Yuan and Daniel Hung the double dragon XL remix version i dont see myself pulling for anymore main DPS toons, might pull for Topaz if she brings something new to the game but other then that the next character that im most excited for is the next version of the Main Character.
I was saving for Furina but I pulled on weapon banner for Homs and got neuvs sig so I pulled him as well. He is probably my new favorite character gameplay wise
Shockingly, she was one of the easiest characters to get off the ground I've ever dealt with. With like 20 Fuel I got every piece I needed. Had her, her Light Cone, Relics, and all Traces maxed out on day one. Every other character has taken me at least a week to a few months to find remotely suitable relics, even after weeks/months of prefarming.
Vars yet again spewing some arbitrary ass pull. Unless you're wasting 10 cycles to clear (which you shouldn't with her dmg), then you don't need both healer and a tanker to "comfortably use her". Fu Xuan is the best for her, she prevents one shot, and she heals the chip dmg the team received, and she buff the max HP for the whole team. There are already plethora of test of her with Fu Xuan or other healers/tank in yt, and using one of them is already suffice. But of course, as long as you sound smart, everyone will take your word 😂
Imma just pull her and then wait for Huohuo. Huohuo goes to heal Blade and ends up healing everyone else AND they get an ATK and ER buff. Jingliu gets to ult more and rest is history. Take Jingliu, Blade, Huohuo and Pela to that goddamn Monkey and kaboom
its probably ur style but maybe in post production of your audio try to cut off some lows it sounds sooo muddy and bassy on my speakers and its legit only you that i watch who sounds like that
jingliu is so overpowered at a low price i am currently trailblazer 37 but my jingliu after her crit boost is able to have 80 crit rate which is crazy btw i am f2p and i got her in just one week after playing honkai star rail again
Funny enough despite not playing star rails atm, i can only see Jingliu as Star rail`s version of Minalca from Another eden, except a ice unit who despite doing blood taxes still follows the gameplay gimmick, where minalca embraces the dmg so hard, all her moves are aimed at dealing damage in various ways or self buffing her ability to deal dmg (without overlapping buffs from other units at all), does not apply any team mate buffs & her blood tax is to determine an extra multiplier which allows her to achieve some of the highest numbers of the game long as she has a `posse` alive to keep blood taxing from each turn. Course with AE`s case starting when they brought in the hollow empire content, they introduced its own pet system with sidekicks as a `bonus party member` to perform additional effects depending on its skill pool and sidekick equipment attached to them, but otherwise cant be harmed at all so its a power creep boon without management hassle. Which for Minalca, she gets a sidekick that applies heals & defensive boons to cover Minalca`s aggressive nature, by healing up the `blood tax` she does. Its kind of obvious though that Star rails might be leaning into the Elysia + Susannah fiasco again with units that have a `flaw` and another unit is released either before or after that unit that conviently covers up that flaw and does alot of other stuff to boot. So if they release a Healing or Defensive unit soon`ish that perfectly covers up her flaws, if Luocha aint doing that already, then one can expect this to keep happening so Mihoyo can further shove FOMO down ya`lls throats to pull EVERY new unit banner because either some content perfectly needs the new unit to work or it needs another or two other specific units for an OP unit to function at all.
I hope we get an erudition 5 star soon, as far as im aware we only have one and himiko is know as the worst of the 5 stars (doesn't mean she is bad, just lacking compared to the other 5 stars
I did 50 pulls for Tingyun eidolons and to build pity, but I ended up pulling Jingliu. I have no interest in the character, so she’ll probably collect dust in my roster, but at least I got my Tingyun eidolons.
This video is very misleading, she is by far the easiest DPS to build besides DOT characters due to the free crit and you can easily solo sustain with any healer
I have most of her ideal teammates (Blade, Loucha, pela e4), but if she needs her signature lightcone to do damage comparable to or better than my Blade with Secret Vow s1, then I'll pass. We'll wait and see after Prydwen's analysis is complete.
You are incredibly wrong u do not need 2 sustainers in any content with Jing Liu she gets 80 health at max from ur teammates she needs to act 20 times to sap 1600k health from ur team u will win in max 10 turns in any content so ur estimation of her is wrong also does more dmg than IL cause of her spd getting more turns than him
Lost 50/50 on her. Gonna save up for Argenti physical erudition. And u guys know how phys breaks hard. And some Hanya too if lucky. Hopefully herta store have a new erudition LC 🙏
Have her at E1 and signature weapon. Burned all of my summoning resources on her banner and Fu Xuan (and her signature weapon). E2 Jingliu doesn't really hold my interest to the fullest due to the 80% damage buff is only accessible after the ultimate during the enhanced state. At this rate I'm not summoning anymore until next year. I do want E2 Seele because spd and stacks go vroom. Eventually E1 Fu Xuan and that's it. Then it's waiting for new units.
Feel free to crap on my team as much as you want, but I use her with silver wolf, bailu, and March 7th. I don't have gepard yet, and I also don't have luocha, so this team is kind of the only team that's viable for extended battles, and even then is often dysfunctional, and relies on the shitty taunt mechanics, but I still enjoy her just as much if not better than Dan heng IL. As much as doing burst loads of damage with a single attack feels good, I like other people on the team to be able to use their skills.
I skipped jingliu not by choice so hopefully the blade team with her isnt that much better than hypercarry with bronya otherwise im gonna feel crazy left out
Me: is she really that expensive tho? Also me: 'Has litterally an account built around "dreams" of her since the early trailers'...seems about right. Jokes aside, she is actually like Blade in a sense, in that she can ultimately fulfill a sub dps role because of her low SP consumption, the only thing you need to worry about is having a good enough healer with high energy regen to always have on demand healing (trust me, even with Luocha, without his field up, my team gets eaten alive lmao. Also, she ain't hard to build, just stack as much crit damage as you can, she gains 2.1k attack when on her enhanced state so you don't really need to focus on that and 30% is managable by everyone + the free LC from Herta shop is actually really good for her.
I'll be honest, saying that Jingliu requires 1 SP for her whole rotation is incorrect. While you could technically use 1 SP and then her Ultimate to get her into her enhanced state where she then uses 2 skills (3 at E6) for 0 SP, you are losing a very significant amount of damage by doing this because the Ultimate will lose a damage bonus from a major trace, all the Atk% and crit rate from her talent, and you won't get the extended duration of her enhanced state. She uses 2 SP to get into her enhanced state and then gets 2 skills at 0 SP before E6. If you use her technique to enter combat the first rotation is 1 SP cheaper and 1 action sooner. With her ultimate cost being 140, expensive like you said, it's even worse to use it in order to enter the enhanced state because you won't be able to get it back until after that state ends unless you have E6, build energy (which is a large damage loss) on Jingliu, or have a Tingyun and get hit a lot. Action 1: Skill -1 SP Action 2: Skill -1 SP 100% action advance Ultimate Action 3 (immediately after 2): Skill 0 SP 10% action advance Action 4: Skill 0 SP 10% action advance Action 5: Skill 0 SP 10% action advance 95/140 energy before other sources The next two skills to enter spectral transmigration bring it to 135/140 She uses 2 SP in 5 actions, which is still very SP efficient but it's not the 1 SP which would be 1 SP in 4 actions and a large damage loss. It's a slight difference and comparable to Blade's 1 SP in 3 actions but I think it's worth mentioning because you're only getting that 1 in 4 by sacrificing a lot of damage. At E6 it becomes 2 SP in 6 actions which is the same as Blade's 1 in 3 due to the extra stack of syzygy, which also conversely makes it easier to extend the spectral transmigration state and possibly turn it into 2 SP in 7 actions by getting another ultimate, as 4 enhanced skills after an ultimate is 125/140 energy by itself. I'm saying actions because "turns" and "cycles" can get complicated with speed and I don't want to calculate AVs but 100% action advance is easy to incorporate.

@@DefinitelyNotAFerret I tried man, pretty inconsistent, Tingyun's more consistent cause Jing wants to launch as many ults as possible
Right? With Tingyun I am able to use Jingliu's burst atleast twice while she is in her special state thus making it last longer.
@@blueharnet6225Yeah, Tingyun's generally better unless you have a speedy luocha cause for some reason if I use one as my support, he generates a fuckton of skill points.
Shes so cool but i already have buikt main damage dealers (e0s1 blade and e2s1 IL)(jy is there too but hes only here to be pretty). I feel like going for more supprt units now is the better way to go, having luocha and fu xuan makes everything easy so i think saving for mlre supports is my way to go 😭 BUT SHES SO COOL! and i want all HCQ members 😭😭 maybe when she reruns
Me but also cuz i lose 50/50
What does it mean by e0s1 blade and e2s1 IL? (New to the game sorry)
@@ikmaldaniel5324E= Edolions(locked behind multiple copies) and S means superimposition level for lightcones which weapons (locked behind additional copies)
@@ikmaldaniel5324 e is the eidolon (so constellations in genshin) and s is basically the refinment of the lightcone
She definitely is the "Frosty the Snow Chick" and "Ice Queen"
I definitely am getting her, I wonder if huohuo, the next healer who also gives aoe healing and energy regen, could be used in place of loucha and also soften the cost of her ultimate down somewhat? Thus you could go jingliu, blade, huohuo, flex?
hopefully huohuo can solo sustain like luocha (i don't have high hope for her Ulti ER for the whole team is effective enough tho cuz that's kinda too OP for the game). My guess is she's 60% of luocha sustain and 40% of tingyun ER.
@@Safineya 🙏🏾You got this, building more HP will get you where you need to go. I got "unlucky" and got Time Waits within 2 pitys and Natasha has kept me alive nearly by herself.
Considering how many hard hitting enemies there are in both Moc and Swarm, I'd say Fuxuan is the best sustain.
She just allows for a more comfortable time even when you have squichy units on the team
@@wafaay7182it is entirely team dependent. I personally love her the most and used her in every team since I got her as well but Jing Liu kinda needs more team wide healing since she drains HP off of all characters which isn't affected by damage reduction since it's not damage.
I havent manage too solo sustain Fire MC . He always need abundance or another perservation except in stimulated universe ( not swarm disaster )
One thing @Vars II you forgot to mention E4 Pela with the 40% defenseshred and here i think 14 Ice damage amplification on here skill ^^
Among the 2, one (money) must pay the price…
I remember watching your maplestory videos from even before vars, found your video by accident and dam your channels have grown congratz homie
You too?
Her banner has such good 4 stars I will pull on it anyway.
Ever since I saw her pop up during the main quest I decided to pull her if she ever becomes a playable character.
Yep, waifu over meta. That's why I pull Topaz and Numby.
I feel like Topaz and Numby are better meta-wise, personally. There are a lot of characters who use follow-up attacks that will synergize well with them and their technique is really neat for the overworld. You're very set 👍
Nice taste bro
@@Alex-mu6sm I pull her for four reasons:
1. I need a good pyro damage dealer.
2. I want to explore the follow up attack style more deeply
3. She is hot
4. Numby is cute as fuck.
"Overpowered but costly" perfectly describes every other DPS ngl, especially Dan Heng IL (except for maybe Kafka since she's easy to build)
@@djampoucheukap1742 Right? my dan heng IL sometime is missing a LIGHT CONE (lack of destruction cones) and I only notice because it takes one extra turn to finish enemies.
I wouldn't call wanting to run sp efficient supports costly xD
Kafka is expensive too, but in a different way. You need to invest a lot into her other teammates.
Blade is ez to build
Kafka will become more and more powerful if more Dot character release and Black swan will buff more Kafka.
Oh worm I didn't realize it buffed her crit rate 😮💨 after I went and leveled a crit rate chest piece for her
Honesty all you need is 40% cr ideally and thats easily obtained from substats
Crit damage and atk/spd is your main priority
i feel like vars should talk about one of honkais big problems basically all new characters will be in a forced inazuma character effect
I have both Blade and Luocha and already prefarmed for her.
I am ready.
Starting the game two weeks ago just to get Huo Huo...did 10 pulls on Jingliu and got two copies if her. Well, hopefully Huo huo healing is good for her in 6 weeks.
You don’t need 2 copies of jing liu , hand it over 😊
I already managed to pull her, and while I'm slightly conflicted over this (since now I'm very unlikely to get Topaz who I kinda want more, and I don't have any of the 5 stars that Jingliu works best with), she is still another addition to the Yanqing bully squad, so I'm overall not upset.
I can solo sustain her with Fu Xuan with sig. LC...
I use Tingyun, Pela, Jingliu, Fu Xuan team
Good thing I have Fu Xuan, Luocha, and Blade. Can't believe I had the dream team at the palm of my hands
im just happy to have someone other than pela for ice damage and thats why im rolling for her even after pulling on most banners only skipping super dan hengs
Trying to figure out who to go for next and I'm feeling like Topaz or even Seele might be a better option, or wait for HuoHuo/Argenti.
To that one girl who was too sad she couldnt get Blade she deleted her account with Luocha, hope ur having fun catching up up to the meta with Natasha😂
Huohuo looks amazing rn. Also i can now run clara on longevous.
I really don’t see the S+ tier Prydwen and other are saying without her sig lc
Almost entirely unrelated, but every new genshin/star rail character reminds me how much I desire an arcsys fighting game for any hoyoverse game.
"A healer and tank."
How dare you so as doubt the power of double preservation.
I was saving for Furina but I pulled on weapon banner for Homs and got neuvs sig so I pulled him as well. He is probably my new favorite character gameplay wise
what an impulsive roller 😂
My Fu Xuan solo sustains with Jingliu in MoC just fine.
I always wish for a double Castoria support everytime I play this game.
6:56 woa pause
Shockingly, she was one of the easiest characters to get off the ground I've ever dealt with. With like 20 Fuel I got every piece I needed. Had her, her Light Cone, Relics, and all Traces maxed out on day one. Every other character has taken me at least a week to a few months to find remotely suitable relics, even after weeks/months of prefarming.
bro goes so she fits very well with Fu Xuan, Bronya, Loucha, Blade, Silver wolf and there am I with none of them and I'm going to pull her anyway
“For longer fights you’re gonna need someone who can top off everyone”
Ayoooooooo
That was fast vars! it just hit 11
Luocha RERUN _WHEN THO‽!‽!!_
Take Jingliu, Blade, Huohuo and Pela to that goddamn Monkey and kaboom
its probably ur style but maybe in post production of your audio try to cut off some lows it sounds sooo muddy and bassy on my speakers and its legit only you that i watch who sounds like that
Me who has every character mentioned except blade.
Definitely getting
Given my luck with pulls in HSR so far, every damn character is costly mate
I'm still stuck at phantilya
At this point in time, I'm gonna save my stellar jades. I have two characters in mind right now: Silver Wolf and Luocha.
I feel like her ult should have applied dissociate from simulated. That or her E2 would have been awesome
jingliu is so overpowered at a low price i am currently trailblazer 37 but my jingliu after her crit boost is able to have 80 crit rate which is crazy btw i am f2p and i got her in just one week after playing honkai star rail again
She is so cool literally and metaphorically ) I am happy to get her and win 50/50. Next 3 charecters skip nothing really interesting
saved up 90 pulls and got her and her light cone! wishing luck for everyone
day 3 of asking vars for his cryo element analysis
amazing video as always of course
I came here and to Braxophone's video after accidentally getting her with a 10 pull. I'm not sure if I've made a mistake or not?
With every new character that comes out, I'm more and more convonced that Luocha is the Kazuza of HSR
He would be, if his kit didn't inspire the solo sustain meta in other sustain units. Right now, Silver Wolf seems like the Kazuha.
I hope you talk about the classes kinda like the elements in Genshin.
It’s been a hour man how are y’all this fast
Here for the algorithm and right after his stream
👋
destruction: great survivability, while jingliu..... ugh hum
This video is very misleading, she is by far the easiest DPS to build besides DOT characters due to the free crit and you can easily solo sustain with any healer
good luck to everyone pulling her!
JL + blade is so fun,
Jingliu is Shenhe
;-; me who missed the Kafka banner....
Makes me wish I went for Blade and Luocha but I was stingy, instead saving for Kafka and later Fu Xuan...
me, who prefarmed by stockpiling copious amounts of resin until all her mats got revealed:
damn buddy, sounds like a skill issue
I mean Ice its my favorite element in Hsr
Have her at E1 and signature weapon. Burned all of my summoning resources on her banner and Fu Xuan (and her signature weapon). E2 Jingliu doesn't really hold my interest to the fullest due to the 80% damage buff is only accessible after the ultimate during the enhanced state. At this rate I'm not summoning anymore until next year. I do want E2 Seele because spd and stacks go vroom. Eventually E1 Fu Xuan and that's it. Then it's waiting for new units.
E1 Fuxuan is good in all DPS team.
So blade e6 looks more tempting with Jingliu
Feel free to crap on my team as much as you want, but I use her with silver wolf, bailu, and March 7th. I don't have gepard yet, and I also don't have luocha, so this team is kind of the only team that's viable for extended battles, and even then is often dysfunctional, and relies on the shitty taunt mechanics, but I still enjoy her just as much if not better than Dan heng IL. As much as doing burst loads of damage with a single attack feels good, I like other people on the team to be able to use their skills.
Waifu over Meta has to be the funniest yet most important reason for pulling any character in any game. Lol
I put 20 wishes do and got nothing. So i will just wish on the next banner i guess it was not meant to be.
ok but can we appreciate the nier soundtrack 😩
Them, sweating in the corner:
Bailu is still better than Luocha!
Action 1: Skill -1 SP
Action 2: Skill -1 SP
100% action advance
Ultimate
Action 3 (immediately after 2): Skill 0 SP
10% action advance
Action 4: Skill 0 SP
10% action advance
Action 5: Skill 0 SP
10% action advance
95/140 energy before other sources
The next two skills to enter spectral transmigration bring it to 135/140
She uses 2 SP in 5 actions, which is still very SP efficient but it's not the 1 SP which would be 1 SP in 4 actions and a large damage loss.
I don't pull DPS characters. It's a rule. Plus she's destruction but plays like erudition idk I expect more.
Ppl need to build their healers and not just slap the first heal set they get now
Official subs when
Ehhh, I whaled on Blade and now he is SS+ for me so he does more than enough DPS. So no point in getting Jingliu. Topaz though....
The power creep but
Waifu over meta always, but also WOOOO AMALEEE LETS GOOOO
She is a pass for me, topaz has better uses later on. She just seems fun
Pass. I'll just stick to my mono quantum team for now
