I work at fedex as a courier and I deliver to UPS stores all the time. It's pretty common that the UPS store gives me packages that were just dropped off and left on the counter that are actually for FedEx.
Sean Ryan's interview with DJ helped me a lot.
I respect these guys for being open about their struggles.

I think this podcast was very good at showing there are two sides to every story. I’m personally not a huge fan of the stuff GBRS puts out just because it’s not my cup of tea so the controversy over the lower situation never really mattered to or effected me but I’m glad that their side of the story is getting out there and whether you love or hate them I hope people will listen to both sides of the story before jumping on a bandwagon
An innocent person was accused of a crime and his civil rights abused.
This is Shameful!
ua-cam.com/video/rlcexsjm_nM/v-deo.htmlsi=neKa3QuK3eQcFXeT
Shameful
@@marioLJ-l9g unfortunately it’s pretty common that innocent people are accused of crimes they didn’t do. Being accused of something is different than being convicted. I could accuse you of but the accusations mean nothing if I have nothing to back them and can’t prove it
@@benc2023The fact that its a common occurrence for innocent people to be falsely accused of committing a crime is a disgrace in and of itself but to try and use that as a justification for falsely accusing an employee of yours is akin to actively trying to be a piece of shit. There’s also a very distinct difference between “accusing” someone and flat out LYING. You’re just as much of a joke as these 2 clowns
Dj and Cole both are great humans. We all make mistakes and I know without a doubt these men are saving lives. Knowing these guys have been through hell and kept going helps me get through the shit I’m struggling with.
To wake up from a nap and to see this Episode !!! I felt like a kid again 😂
Kaya, please don’t interrupt the stars. I realize you’re a good dude. I just don’t think interviewing is your strength.
You ask the most naive and awkward questions. Aaron wants the guys to keep talking but Kaya won’t shut up.
Omg.
So glad someone else thought the same thing I did.
@@Belford_4642 It's frustrating and sometimes just cringy to watch!
@@Belford_4642Dont get me wrong, I dont dislike Kaya, but he kinda stepped over in this interview. His questions need to be more concise. Too many times I forgot he was asking a question or didnt know what it was as he would go on too long. And too much interjecting with his own stuff.
There was part of me that felt like his ego got the best of him, where he felt like he needed to prove something.
@@DestindKnee totally agree
@@Belford_4642 I absolutely loved the content but I just couldn’t help myself from cringing when Kaya would interject. You could tell Aaron was feeling it as well.
Nothing but respect for DJ and Cole.
Why does Don Shipley not talk with DJ anymore
@@SASMADBRUV7exactly bro. These ass kissers are hilarious.
@luckymanham302 I do respect the military but I think we're in a weird position where we're treating SF guys as if they're celebrities when we shouldn't even know they exist. We need to treat everyone as individuals, not everyone who served is a good person. The Logan Melgar situation is a horrifying example
i'm so glad that joo criminal got exposed. never doubted gbrs was legit. employees are usually in the wrong, as much as people want to deny this. because they have a lot more to lose, greater liability. employees can do whatever and just take the money and run. joo weasel got exposed
@@SASMADBRUV7 I agree completely. They used to be “the silent professionals”.
The problem was the employee was accused of stealing right away, not accused of negligence. One is putting a judgment on a mans character, the other is not, just an oversight. Granted its a huge oversight given the context of it being a firearm. I'd rather be accused of negligence than theft, personally.
How does a package show up after 22 days? Well let me tell you a story of me returning an item to optics planet. I packed it up shipped it out via UPS. 3 weeks later I haven't received my refund. OP said they couldn't do anything because the package wasn't scanned and no proof I shipped it back. No joke, about 10 months later I check my bank account and see a refund from optics planet and I'm confused what it was for. I check the price of the item I returned 10 months back and guess what? Its the EXACT same amount I got reimbursed.
10 months is 300 days, A LOT more than 22. Things go missing, shit happens. It wasn't divine intervention, no, but its not unheard of for packages to show up after being missing. Maybe he didn't combat the comments from other people because he was jaded about being accused of stealing? Ever think about that possibility?
The fact that DJ said after 22 days and he doesn't believe that it was divine intervention shows that he personally thinks it was stolen, and not negligence, but because he only has evidence of negligence is the ONLY reason he is careful with his choice of words.
Not only that, see how GBRS treated Slade Cutrer. You guys say to hear both sides of the story before making a judgment, how about bringing on Slade to talk about his experience with DJ and Cole? He's a guntuber with similar background as DJ & Cole, so he'd be a relevant guest regardless. Put your money where your mouth is CF..
It's a terminatable offense, though. If he wasn't a black man, this story wouldn't have taken flight.
I strongly suspect that TBI influenced their judgement in both situations.
UPS package dropped off at Fedex. Clearly didn’t check label and clearly didn’t put it in the hands of a Fedex rep which would have advised him because it won’t scan. It’s why he couldn’t get a receipt he didn’t follow policy. NEGLIGENT
@@donaldduncan2001 learn to READ.
@@donaldduncan2001so you don’t see the pattern of behavior from the “GBRS owners”? They seem to have never ending piles of dog poo to step in. Poor character shows in the persons daily lives. It’s repetitive and not the last cringey thing they’ll do to someone in their circle.

I admit that when the whole controversy was first circulated it did not look good from what I saw and the reaction of most people online was nuts, I also enjoyed some of the jokes that were going online which was not a great thing. Obviously with each incident there is side A, side B, and somewhere in the middle is the entire truth that is not affected by perspective. I am glad to hear the truth is coming out and I hope a lot of people will see this. GBRS was a group when they first got started I was very excited to see where they were heading and I think it is a solid company run by some solid individuals, looking forward to future content. I am still a little skeptical on some products but willing to test them out especially for my job.
Lots of respect to DJ and Cole for opening up about their struggles and failings. Admitting mistakes and making amends to the people who love us, and whom we hurt, indeed lifts a weight off of our shoulders and brings a peace and happiness.
Where's the ammend to the employee accused of a crime and harrased by the police?
ua-cam.com/video/rlcexsjm_nM/v-deo.htmlsi=neKa3QuK3eQcFXeT

Making amends? Why hasn't DJ met his baby son? Why did he comply with his wife's demands to ignore the affair baby's existence? How could he ethically do that?
They don’t admit their mistakes or make amends to the people they’ve wronged and there’s video evidence to back up my claim. Do you have any evidence to back up yours beside their word?
Let’s just call this for what it is. The employee was guilty and negligent. No company would have accepted this without scanning it..
@@DG-lf5go 👊🏾🇺🇸
The problem was the employee was accused of stealing right away, not accused of negligence. The police just took his buddy's words and went straight for the handcuffs. The entire thing stinks
@@phunguyenquang1342 Did you watch the video? DJ and Cole literally asked everyone before "accusing". Looks like the Virginia PD guy took the 1 inch of the battle into miles...
How was he guilty if they had the item in their possession the whole time?
@@lsx646 he asked everyone, then accused the guy of stealing because he saw him walking out with a package. He immediately went straight to 'he stole it' not 'hmm maybe I should ask him what happened personally' if you you watched the body cam footage, you'd know that that conversation didn't happen at all because the employee was legit shocked that they called the cops on him. He even said 'wait, this isn't a joke?'
Gentleman, you have earned Respect. Enjoy life !!! God Bless !
I’ve made my mind own up when I saw the video. I knew these guys weren’t racist. The audacity of the negligent employee to spin the narrative of injustice and RAISE $70K?? That’s INSANE!!
You are a shipping manger, you handle logistics and most important TRACEABILITY! I have never not once dropped off a package at a postal service and just blatantly left. I was material handler for 2 years before becoming a shipping supervisor to now a supply chain director. I would’ve had my ass handed to me if that was me. DJ is better than me, I would’ve charged that guy for negligence 100%.
Exactly, yet people want to believe what they see or what some lawyer who don’t know the situation says.
Yes the employee should be fired. But the way the cops did zero actual investigation and went straight to arresting him just because his buddy said so. It left a sour taste in my mouth.
You would have charged the guy that DJ claimed “he was the best, he could tell the wrong package from 60’ across the floor”? So the dude messed up, maybe had a bad day and you want to “criminally charge him”? Just wow. GBRS group= morally & ethically bankrupt
Great interview, should have asked about their fallout with Slade.
Funnily enough, Slade is still cool with DJ's dad and they had a podcast together.

Very good interview from both you Gents. And I mean both of you. You both bring specific and different ingredients to make a great dish. All the haters out there towards Kaya, get over yourselves and fix yourself.
He needs to ask why GBRS was deleting questions and blocking people for simply inquiring about the issues with firing that dude. You can handle combat but not simple internet questions and comments?
Most likely for the same reason the whole racism debate started. It was containment to minimize the impact. You can hear DJ mention, it took roughly 15 minutes for the death threats to roll in. You don't want to multiply that because you never know which one is credible, especially in the heavily medicated United States. They have families that never had to face threats, because their work was overseas and families sheltered from it. It simply hits differently when it's happening back home. It's easy to judge in hindsight, but people need to think about the moments when it was unfolding.
@CutingTheEdge You're assuming I'm oblivious to what it's like to be in that position. You went right to death threats. Of course they would want to keep a handle on those things. But the mere mention. The simple question of "what happened?" Got people banned from their social media and comment deleted. If they didn't want it to get worse. That's the polar opposite way of achieving that. That puts them in the same boat at companies like Olight and PSA that delete and manicure reviews. Politicians that avoid and talk circles around "the hard questions." And honestly puts a skid mark on their character.
Thanks to everyone at Classic for getting this one done. Respect to all parties involved. Really enjoyed the advice that Cole & DJ gave at the end 🤙🏻🇺🇲 Cheers gentlemen.

Why I hate the internet man; if you have ever worked at a firearms store, I did before the military. It don’t matter if a gun goes missing for 10 minutes, 2 days it’s a big fucking deal and yes a store or any establishment can go bankrupt or completely close down. The fact that he walked off with the firearm, then just dropped it off and didn’t get a receipt, then saying he doesn’t remember anything I’d accuse him of stealing to and fire him, and I’m a black veteran of multiple branches.
Not racism at all, you were negligent and no I am not about to hear your side of the story if you had hands on it then say you don’t remember anything or recall. If this was the military and you say some dumb shit like that you’d get kicked tf out of my unit, as well as many SOF units. Same rules apply in civilian life, making a mistake is one thing but completely being oblivious when you are the sole person who manages all that. Yeah my first thought would be theft, sorry not sorry. Hold yourself fucking accountable.
If he would have came forward and just admitted his mistake, I’m sure things would have turned out different.
I don’t think he even ever handled that specific package. There’s a breakdown on Civil Rights Lawyer (channel on UA-cam)
@@DGillian6406don’t matter if he didn’t handle that specific package, I was a logistics executive for many years and I may not have touched things but I knew who did and they had proof of receipt for it.
Also many lawyers will sway information to defend their defendant, I have seen it happen. It’s one thing if you did all that, got a receipt then you placed the package in a random spot, that’s a mistake, the one they are describing is just negligence. Just my two sense.
I dropped a cell phone in a ups box, but it was for fedex. The lady at verizon said it was for ups, and i didnt double check. Luckily i live in a small town and one of the ups drivers brought it to me

Sometimes UPS and fedex will communicate when they have wrong packages so the correct company can retrieve that package and return to sender.

Either way, negligence. Termination wasn’t wrong, especially if it was in the company’s description
