    The problem was the employee was accused of stealing right away, not accused of negligence. One is putting a judgment on a mans character, the other is not, just an oversight. Granted its a huge oversight given the context of it being a firearm. I'd rather be accused of negligence than theft, personally.
    How does a package show up after 22 days? Well let me tell you a story of me returning an item to optics planet. I packed it up shipped it out via UPS. 3 weeks later I haven't received my refund. OP said they couldn't do anything because the package wasn't scanned and no proof I shipped it back. No joke, about 10 months later I check my bank account and see a refund from optics planet and I'm confused what it was for. I check the price of the item I returned 10 months back and guess what? Its the EXACT same amount I got reimbursed.
    10 months is 300 days, A LOT more than 22. Things go missing, shit happens. It wasn't divine intervention, no, but its not unheard of for packages to show up after being missing. Maybe he didn't combat the comments from other people because he was jaded about being accused of stealing? Ever think about that possibility?
    The fact that DJ said after 22 days and he doesn't believe that it was divine intervention shows that he personally thinks it was stolen, and not negligence, but because he only has evidence of negligence is the ONLY reason he is careful with his choice of words.
    Not only that, see how GBRS treated Slade Cutrer. You guys say to hear both sides of the story before making a judgment, how about bringing on Slade to talk about his experience with DJ and Cole? He's a guntuber with similar background as DJ & Cole, so he'd be a relevant guest regardless. Put your money where your mouth is CF..

Obviously with each incident there is side A, side B, and somewhere in the middle is the entire truth that is not affected by perspective. I am glad to hear the truth is coming out and I hope a lot of people will see this. GBRS was a group when they first got started I was very excited to see where they were heading and I think it is a solid company run by some solid individuals, looking forward to future content. • @CutingTheEdge
      @CutingTheEdge 5 днів тому +3

      Most likely for the same reason the whole racism debate started. It was containment to minimize the impact. You can hear DJ mention, it took roughly 15 minutes for the death threats to roll in. You don't want to multiply that because you never know which one is credible, especially in the heavily medicated United States. They have families that never had to face threats, because their work was overseas and families sheltered from it. It simply hits differently when it's happening back home. It's easy to judge in hindsight, but people need to think about the moments when it was unfolding.

    • @RTTGunsGear
      @RTTGunsGear 5 днів тому

      @CutingTheEdge You're assuming I'm oblivious to what it's like to be in that position. You went right to death threats. Of course they would want to keep a handle on those things. But the mere mention. The simple question of "what happened?" Got people banned from their social media and comment deleted. If they didn't want it to get worse. That's the polar opposite way of achieving that. That puts them in the same boat at companies like Olight and PSA that delete and manicure reviews. Politicians that avoid and talk circles around "the hard questions." And honestly puts a skid mark on their character.

    How did that guy not get a receipt? I mean, you're shipping a gun for your job. I do drop offs at my job all the time and I always turn in a receipt. Not just for the business but to cover my butt. My boss would never tolerate me being so careless with an important package like that. Getting a receipt would've avoided everything. As a shipping manager he needs to know better and you can't keep someone like that on payroll.

    Why I hate the internet man; if you have ever worked at a firearms store, I did before the military. It don’t matter if a gun goes missing for 10 minutes, 2 days it’s a big fucking deal and yes a store or any establishment can go bankrupt or completely close down. The fact that he walked off with the firearm, then just dropped it off and didn’t get a receipt, then saying he doesn’t remember anything I’d accuse him of stealing to and fire him, and I’m a black veteran of multiple branches.
    Not racism at all, you were negligent and no I am not about to hear your side of the story if you had hands on it then say you don’t remember anything or recall. If this was the military and you say some dumb shit like that you’d get kicked tf out of my unit, as well as many SOF units. Same rules apply in civilian life, making a mistake is one thing but completely being oblivious when you are the sole person who manages all that. Yeah my first thought would be theft, sorry not sorry. Hold yourself fucking accountable.
    If he would have came forward and just admitted his mistake, I’m sure things would have turned out different.

      @@DGillian6406don’t matter if he didn’t handle that specific package, I was a logistics executive for many years and I may not have touched things but I knew who did and they had proof of receipt for it.
      Also many lawyers will sway information to defend their defendant, I have seen it happen. It’s one thing if you did all that, got a receipt then you placed the package in a random spot, that’s a mistake, the one they are describing is just negligence. Just my two sense.
