Just wanted to say I’m 18 years old and thankful to have you guys as one of my resources to being a better human, especially being younger. It’s taken me a long way, you guys would be surprised at how little info like this is talked about day to day. Never getting out of bed without purpose and never sleeping without achievement.
First and foremost, everyone needs to remember why we are at war. Everyone's life in this platoon depends on his platoon brother's dedication. PERFECT PRACTICE: In training, skill sets, and conditioning, strengthens our resolve in combat. Perfect is the point, not the enemy of good enough. Training, practice, skills, and conditioning for war will demand total commitment from every fighter in Alpha. We will prepare ourselves as if we will be engaged in the most vicious, difficult, and physically demanding combat situations. The war is on going; every day we are here the enemy is there, getting harder by living a culture of war. Therefore, while here, our training will be perfect and our dedication unwavering. We will not become soft by losing focus on what lies ahead. We are professional athletes, and our chosen sport is war. Superior athletes in their sport distinguish themselves by knowing their assignments, developing their skills, and having superior conditioning; this is the difference between All American or All Conference, gold medal or silver, and in our sport life or death. Therefore, we will set ourselves apart and prepare ourselves in such a manner. Furthermore, we will be prepared for any shit storms that may arise in combat, whether that is fighting our way through mountains with down men, or E&E'ing across the desert. On the other hand, this also means that we will be in the condition needed to engage in the most arduous missions day after day-and relentlessly kick the shit out of the enemies of America. Without this culture being a first and foremost platoon value we will simply be average. DO NOT FORGET, that our enemy's resolve to kill Americans strengthens, and their mettle tempered, forged in a furnace of constant war. AVERAGE IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!!, not in our sport. For the next year and a half it is up to each of us to commit to mastering the skills of our sport. We can never forget that war lies ahead, and the men to our left and our right are the ones we count on. My husband showed me this over a decade ago. But I remember asking him to send it to me. Just for motivation. They are all still in the same group chat. My husband actually just went to a ceremony to put his old platoon officers shoulder boards on who made captain or 0-6. His wife did the other shoulder. Who we are both great friends and neighbors for the longest.
Thank you DJ. I'm a cancer survivor whose life has changed drastically. I'm currently going through even more cancer, and what you said is just the motivation that I needed to continue giving a shit. So from one ex-Navy man to another, Hooyah good sir.

@JackTavern629 it was literally in the office drawer of the boss. How is he supposed to "come up with it" if it's not even in his possession. LoL GTFOutta here.
DJ I found you through your Shawn Ryan Show episode (#15) last week, and I want to say thank you for your authenticity. I have been going through your channel and found a ton of stuff to help get and keep me on track. As you call it in this video...Stay on Topic. Thank you for everything you do!
Invaluable information you’re not going to get anywhere else. If you’re not a Patreon of GBRS you’re truly missing out. JD and Cole and the whole team are there for you. Best money spent hands down.
I am a veterinary nurse specialized in cardiology. I have this mindset. We have to be a Pro every SECOND. Carelessness leads to death. Teaching to my team, much harder
The willingness part. I try and tell people if you are willing and able to be violent, this does not make you a bad person. I am South African and notice that the willingness to be violent if need be seems so counter intuitive to so many USA peeps. Thx DJ
Great speach! I wish I had this leadership and guidance in my early life and military days. I'm sending video this to my 26 year old son-in-law. imagine a world were this attitude and mentality dominated. We would be unstoppable. Thanks for all do and have done!
Would love to continue this. You guys are amazing and a true inspiration as well as a motivator. Thanks for all you guys do have done and continue to do.
Love these videos. Ever since ive gotten out of the Marine Corps, ive been missing the connection and camaraderie with a core group of buddies willing to die for each other. Being happily married with wife n couple of kids, i still find myself in isolation searching for that connection again. GBRS has sparked something back into me! I need to seek self improvement and take point on my life. I wish their was a community like this closer to me.
There are a bunch of dudes out here feeling that way. Even those that never served. Many men with a purpose that don't have an outlet. We have to find more of a community in our locales.
ive been doin that for a long time and always been called a paranoid weirdo but never been caught off guard, saved some lives because of it but hes 100% correct! be on ur shit if u care about ur tribe!
I have a “Be a Pro” tank top and few other shirts from GBRS… also, I have family in the Teams. I believe we have to “Be a Pro” at all times because it reflects on our reputation. ⚔️💪✌️😎🇺🇸
