I love those big saws, I think a lot of people find them absolutely fascinating. It would be great to some your biggest saws in the wood with power saw Rob. The big saw showdown! Bring it on!
Power Saws with Rob ? Absolutely Buckin !! I'm serious Buckin , thanks to your channel , along with vids from Walker Saw Shop , I was able to take my Mcculloch 1-42 from a basket case to a starting , running and cutting saw. Just put a 28" bar with a Full House Oregon Chain on it this morning ( had a learning curve with the Bar Oiling holes and Bar Plates , the Bar is for a Stihl ) , and then got to use it this afternoon to help an older neighbor cut up some 24" Yellow Pine that had blown down in his back yard a couple years back. Pure joy , to the fullest , big smile on my face running my ole Mac AND being able to help out a neighbor. Pure Joy !! Now I'm searching for my next project , a Mac 10-10 . Hello to all my fellow Brothers and Sisters in the Buckin Army of Kindness . Be Safe , Be Kind !!
That spins faster than my old 450 Homelite that I keep for old times sake. Faster than an old Sthil O51 that hangs on my sawmil wall as well. You have to love the old stuff. I am only 62 years old and I have had the 051 since 1970. Back in the 80s as a feller I used a Stihl 090 and the smaller trees under 50" DBH I used a 075. The only thing I can handle now for very long is the Stihl 046 lol. Time marches on. I enjoy every day of this life. Blessing upon you Billy Ray.
We had homlite saws In the 80s and 90s but they were the home gamer additions. I never knew they had professional saws. That is the amazing thing to me.
I come in here after starting this whenever i did and youtube saved where i left off....well i resumed to LET'S BRAND HER LOLOLOL in was having a bad day too, thanks as always buckin!
Always love watching your show and I got that big chainsaw the other day that whole song at 888 but Tuesday I've got hurt surgery scheduled for 10:30 a.m. at the hospital so I don't think I'll be using anything for about 2 months but at least I got it your shows are always entertaining always enjoying keep up the good work I'll be watching lots of them cuz that's the only thing I'll be able to do but have a great day
Yep, great stuff. I would love to see Rob do a video... I'm kinda new to your channel, it has changed alot of things for me (all good)... I also, finally, just ordered a hoodie and some stickers I've had my eye on for awhile.. you know new bar or some buckin merch, I went with the merch!

Wooooohkoooooo yeah Powersaw Rob wow that Homelite lights right up and rips. Look forward to seeing the 850 back together. Curious. That is a dandy axe of Robs such a cool find. Love ya Buckin Thank you brother. 🌲❤🌲✊🪓
Hey I've been working on the old mercury outboards myself for many years. Ive had a couple of those 1250"s he's talking about. Also had one of the first inline 6's that came out just after the direct reverse model. Dual points distributor, cranked on 12 volts, ran on 6 volts. If you've never heard of the direct reverse motors, I know some cool stories from back in the day when they first came out. The old man i learned about outboards from, had contacts within mercury during that time period. They are great, and funny tales.
I will say this is a great video buckin. It is very nice to know I'm not the only one who shakes that bad when I get excited about a new build or old saw like that getting it to fire or run! Keep doing you Rob😎
Buckin! It's wonderful to see those old homelites and mac's running! I have my grandpa's old 707D homelite that if I had to guess is from the late 50's or early 60's. that I'd like to hear run, although I don't think it's ran since probably the 80's. I'll definitely use your fuel sitting overnight in the carb trick when the time comes! Thanks again for the t-shirt this past Sunday as well! Love!
ohhh will be great to see how those saws run when they come back from powersaw rob! Also i need to mention that the BBR toque (beanie) is the most comfortable I've ever had absolutely love it
I have a small collection of 50+ homelites, and they all have the same distinct sound. Nothing better than a homelite. The 2100 is a very desirable saw to have nowadays and starting to get harder to find.
Rob and you sr can set around my camp fire anytime. Great guys. Love the saw talk and what a saw. Could use more videos on vintage saws buckin. All the way back to the old gear drives. Be kind.
I was hauling logs in PNW today, and the notification for this video caught my attention. I look forward to seeing the new videos. Thank you an God bless.
I just gotta tell you I just got an old homelite it was my grandpas from the 60’s and 70’s he fell timber his whole life and he’s still alive till today his birthday is on the 24th he will be 95 years of age I am a 4th generation logger from the California/ Oregon area anyways back in the 90’s he got rid of it he donated it to another outfit and then that fella died and they raffled it away maybe 10 years ago to another guy and I happened to run into this guy unknowingly to me he knew my grandpa just through legends in the area and he says “that’s your grandpa?! I have his old saw! I want to give it to you!” So I ended up with it and it still runs as well as still has all the original parts and still has the 4 ft bar from back then on it

I think a “saw talk with Buckin” video series once or twice a month would be a great thing! I just watched the video on the 2 Homelite saws. How do you get that performance out of those little things. They are tiny compared to Sthil and Mac. They were unstoppable. PEACE ✌
I hope someone sends you one of the hot older remingtons. There's a video of one stock eating a big homelite's lunch - but no muffler. The guy running it says it's "as loud as 100 shotguns", you may have seen the videos already (bigdmc1 or something is the name of the channel). The saw rips, though. Rips. Doesn't look like it's just in the chain.
