Great! You can also turn set the seeker code to 0000 to return the bomb's seeker to your own TGP instead of putting in your own laser code if it's easier.
If your bomb (GBU-12) dosen't have the laser there anymore, for example you moved out of the LIM. The bomb will attempt to go to the last position it saw the laser. So there is no need to orbit unless it's moving. Splash is strictly used for air targets, for ground targets it's Shack.

I was actually putting together an entire series on brevity codes, I got half way through and realized that’s not what I want to do here. There are plenty of milsim groups out there for you brevity folks and I’d rather be a place for the casual sim enjoyer. The nuances between vtol and dcs get me at times. You have to keep losing the target in dcs so I have habits that carry over to vtol. But thanks for the tip on not needing to orbit. That frees me up to leave. @@ztormsink5931 I like missiles more to be honest, but they do the same thing at the end of the day. Laser for moving targets, gps for stationary targets
I created a jtac mission, with troops on the ground that designated targets to hit, when I arrived in the area they correctly indicated when to launch the bombs after having set the laser search via code, but I noticed that once the code was acquired the tgp does not frame the targets to hit but only the authorization to launch the bombs occurs when you are in the laser area, is there something to press in the cockpit or is this function not implemented?

Hey Cereberus this isn't related to the video but I've been noticing that my GPS signal would sometimes get lost now. What would cause such a thing to happen? Jamming?
I haven’t noticed it myself so it’s hard to say. I’ll keep an eye out for it and then I’ll be able to answer you. Having shouldn’t effect GPS. Jamming is a radar thing
@@cerberus0351 I looked into a bit more and it looks like I was right. One of the ways you can lose a GPS signal is through low band jamming according to the Wiki. I don't know if I was getting jammed or not (more likely than not) but thought I'd let you know.

we need vehicles to drive... that way we could have a warfare at the grond and the air and the guy on the ground could call in air support and laser for the jets or deploy smoke or smth

Good information. In which case would you rather use a laser bomb over a missile or GPS bomb?
Moving targets! The laser guided munitions can be tracked on to moving targets. GPS bombs cannot since they aim for a single point.
