So I hear but I fly a lot of dcs and msfs and never deal with the standby for radios. Those aircraft typically have more than one radio. And while I was on active duty I don’t remember the radios having standby. But there have been a few of you who have brought this up, so I’m super inclined to believe it. @@cerberus0351 I am an Avionics Installation Tech at Duncan Aviation in Lincoln, NE. I can confirm that real airplanes work this way. You set the unused "Standby" frequency, and then swap the frequencies out. It mostly has to do with having a frequency you need ready to go, so it makes more sense to set the other, unused frequency to the next thing you need. That way your current, useful frequency is not erased. Then when it comes time to use the new frequency, it is already to go.

Thanks! Tried the Beta but since it's out now im really liking it! I'm really impressed about the radio tuning for standby. That's how our regional jets at work are. You tune the stand by and then you swap to it. Not sure about most aircraft but it's a nice touch

super helpful !! also just recommend putting up the fov maybe to 100 on the S-cam helmet cam, makes it easier for like exemple when you were showing ILS freq we couldn't really see that down, except from that thank you so much
@@hey__jayjay My only concern is that they end up with the standard war thunder game modes. I'd rather have a vtol vr style mission experience with warbirds. But time will tell. It looks really really good from the screenshots.
@@cerberus0351 Also regarding this video, the standby button to set your radio is a real thing in the military. At least radios in the army have the stby button that you have to press to set your freq.
yes, you can tune radio frequencies to just your friends and then switch your comms to freq to use it. So you can have one frequency as "team" and the other as "flight/friends" if that's what you wanted. You'll need to change the standby freq back and forth to hear both though. It's not like dcs where you can hear both radios at once.... from my understanding of it.
Not entirely sure, I'd guess whenever the next big patch it. But you can play with these features right now by switching to the public test branch. It's simple to do and well worth the switch 😄
Num 9 "seek," in other cockpits, go to storage management and select seek. You can change your laser code by num pad 8 lasr. On your laser mod you will see your broadcasting laser code.

This is what we needed, a tutorial to teach all the squeakers how to use the UFC 🤣

My pleasure. I wish there was an 80fov for s cam. 100 is too zoomed out and as you pointed out 60 isn’t always the right choice either.
