Kimberley Lemming did a great job giving us a great subtext amidst all the fun!
I'm slowly getting more into romantasy! I just read Wooing the Witch Queen and really enjoyed it!
Oooh, I haven't read that yet, can you give a bit of insight? 🖤
@ very low on the spice (some petting is as far as it gets) but great emotional bonding and an interesting political background! I read it all in one day too
Im slowly making my way through the October Daye series by Seanan McGuire, they're fae urban fantasy, little to no smut, very plot driven, am loving them. Seanan McGuire also has another good series "Wayward Children'. These are quick reads & heartbreakingly beautiful. Recommend both of these these.
I'm adding them to my list, thank you so much for sharing. Are the main characters adults?
@ In the October Daye series they’re adults. In Wayward Children maybe 10yrs to early teens, not usually the age range I like to read about, but such an amazing series I got sucked right in.
I'm very curious to read Six Scorched Roses because I really enjoyed The Serpent and the Wings of Night. I agree that the Scarlet St. Claire novellas are very smutty, although I found Apples Dipped in Gold less smutty than Mountains Made of Glass and there was a bit more depth to the story.
If you liked serpent and the wings of night, you will love Six Scorched Roses. I would highly recommend reading it before Ashes and the star cursed king, because the two main characters from Six Scorched Roses will be part of it.
@@CathysEnchantedReads I started it last night 🙂
Oh, I just started One Dark Window by Rachel Gillig, and after this video, I just wished I had started the second of Emily Wild! I am curious to read that romance is getting a bit more strength!
But I am really enjoying this one!
I would recommend Kerri Maniscalco, especially Throne of the Fallen (although for that, to understand the world, the Kingdom of the Wicked trilogy needs to be read beforehand). It is a good trilogy, with smut and a lot of tension, but it is masterly done on the Throne of Fallen standalone.
Sadly, Throne of Secrets didn't work for me as much as the previous books of this world. I am curious to know if someone else shares or has a different view on this!
I have the Kerri Maniscalco books on my shelves, the full trilogy, but somehow not started it (yet). Thank you for reminding me ^^
