My scalp did the same the first time I used Kanekalon braiding hair. I'm allergic to the chemical used in that type of hair. I still use it. I just soak it in ACV and let it air dry before use.
Wow, people made that many negative comments ? People are ignorant and it's bizarre how open people are to making random comments that they wouldn't be bold enough to mention face to face. Sometimes it seems as if some comments people make stems from jealousy than them genuinely wanting to caution you of damage. It's like an "A-ha" moment for them hoping for the worse. Your hair looked great in the braids. It's a unique style.
Sis i love your content, but im sorry the braider made your hair way too tight. You can see it in the front of your scalp the dryness and chaffing from the tension on your edges. Of course your hair wont be severely affected because you dont braid your hair often and you take very good care of it, but if you did this style often it would indefinitely cause traction alopecia - a common issue with braiders
Hey Sweetheart, I hope I'm not too late to chime in on the scalp condition. I have the exact same issues. It is most likely seborrheic dermatitis. It can extend to the face and ears as well and look dry and crusty, especially around the nose and mouth. See a dermatologist as soon as possible because the over the counter products will just leave you frustrated. I was prescribed a ketoconazole shampoo and it has changed my life! My scalp is clear and hair is growing again. Stay away from the gels, and keep products off your scalp. It encourages irritation and growth. Even oils. A moisturizing shampoo on the scalp is about all our condition can handle. Hope this finds you and helps. I know how depressing and frustrating it can be to deal with this. Love and hugs ❤
I notice we have the same scalp issue😭I suggest you don't use braiding gel . Any stylist that say they can't braid without gel , move on to the next😊😊.
Hi Ashley! How are you, love? A few things I like to share because I have dermatitis. Water filter you may need if you don't have one already. I took to mid 30’s to get a proper diagnosis. The medicated shampoo and oil didn't work. But my recent game-changer and only on Amazon is the peppermint and aloe scalp tonic by the Design Essentials with a shampoo combination. i’ve been able to go a couple of weeks without shampooing my hair and I usually have to do it weekly or multiple times a week.
Nizoral shampoo can help your scalp situation. Wash your hair every 4 days. Trick is to leave it on your scalp for 15mins before rinsing. Do it for 2 month or before doing it a few times a month for maintenance.
How did you get your hair so long? I have thought about taking vitamins for hair growth, but I want to know your method please. Love the video btw.. Thank you
This happens to me too if I let me hair stay too long without washing. Idk why be the flakes get crazy and big. Once I was tho it fine. But past two weeks and my scalp is not ok
Ashley your scalp looks similarly to mine when I have an allergic reaction. Use tea tree oil and peppermint oil on scalp. It will help and stop the flaking. Depends on the braiding hair and what chemicals were used to wash the hair in prior to install. "SENSITIVE SKIN"
Actually I have a few clients who have seborrhea dermatitis. When they get braids, they tend to have flare ups. I believe it's because of the tightness of the braids. Just an observation. ❤
i get that dryness around my mouth too this time a year!! excedpt this time around i havent found anything that is working! if you find something let us know!❤
I have the same scalp issue. I was diagnosed with seborrheic dermatitis. I have to wash my hair weekly and i have to be very selective with the products I put in my hair. It sucks
omg i have seb derm / scalp pcorasis as well the past few years i hate it :( I suggest Dennorex shampoo it's helped me be able to stretch washes to 2-3 weeks!
My skin does the same thing in the winter. I haven’t had this problem for two years now only in the winter I use the skin fix or Dermalogica stabilizing repair cream. You should check them out by the way your hair turned out beautiful, great content.
Out of curiosity, what type of hair did she use for your braids? I only asked because as of recently whether it was human or synthetic, I know some people have allergies to hair fresh out of the package and some people pre-wash their braiding hair before using it.
The hair growth is insane😍😍😍😍😍
Thank you!!😭🤍
Ain't it tho?!!! Beautiful.

Such a cute hairstyle, definitely like the stitch design in the front ❤❤
The waist/butt hair length can be seeing coming. Keep going ASHLEY👏🏾👏🏾. Like you are giving me so much motivation to grow my hair #hairgoals
Thank you so much!! It definitely takes time, but it’s so worth it!❤️❤️

Girl the braids are not even her head anymore 😂. Move along.
Thank you for sharing! Like you mentioned I don’t do this often, so I’m not worried about it :)
The braids didn’t look tight at all. They looked normal.
Your hair looked so good when you took those 4 braids down!
Thank you so much!!🤍

U should try adding a few drops of tea tree to ur shampoo. It did wonders for my scalp. Haven't seen a flake in years. I use the brand now.

I wonder if a scalp detox serum could’ve helped the flare. The bob was gorgeous tho, glad you got to try it.
I will definitely have to try that next time. Thank you so much🥹💖
i cant wait till i get there
You will! It’s possible🤍
I enjoy your videos, keep it up❤🥰
Thank you so much!☺️🩷
Is your hair "yay long" as yet? Because at this rate we gonna start calling you Rapunzel
I’m cryinggg😭💖💖
It could be the synthetic hair. Try washing the braiding hair with vinegar
What blowdryer is that?
I believe it’s by Hairitage! I’ll find it and link it to this video
Your hair got soooo long ❤❤❤❤❤

I have the same scalp problem and so does my son. It’s so frustrating 😩
Hey I suspect you have seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp, attempt using anti dandruff shampoo like Nizoral or head and shoulders
Thank you!!
I agree. I also have bad dandruff and head & shoulders has saved my scalp. I wash my hair weekly & don’t have dandruff anymore
Have a great weekend 😀
You too!💖

I’m not sure and I didn’t know about this! I will ask next time. Thank you🤍
It looks like she dipped your real hair in the boiling water 😭 it’s still really cute on you !
It's hot water, not boiling water, but I feel you! Thank you!😂
Does the hot water destroy your hair?
If you do it often, yes. But the whole hair is not supposed to be dipped in the water as it was here
@ thank God lol i was worried about my hair lol. Thank you
Your hair is beautiful but if I had that much, I wouldn't know what to do with it.
@@daniellesmith7149 Haha😂😂
Whoa. You put boiled water on your hair? Sis.
Beautiful style though. Very cute
New Subbie 🚨 Love your channel -- I think certain edge controls makes my seborrheic dermatitis flare up every time I don’t know why #imhereforthehair❤

I want my hair done, but finding someone that doesn't braid too tight.
I love you 🤍
@@_Imuetinyanosa I love you more!❤️
Do not do this a lot becaus she put your hair and the false hair in hot water.
Yes. I mentioned that in the video.
Braids are always done soooo tight. Ugh!
I had a feeling you were going to say Fashion Industries. I also went there 🥰
