I've been living with tinnitus the past 5 years. Mine sounds like metals grinding non-stop and varies in volume and pitch. Some days are quieter than others. But I still love riding my bike on the trails in the woods. It gets me in the right atmosphere and situation to unwind. I often forget about my tinnitus when I'm out there riding my bike while soaking in the serenity. I will put my earphones on and turn some easy-listening music on (like bossa nova) if the tinnitus gets annoying. This helps distract myself from the annoying noise. You have to be physically active to distract yourself from the noise. Letting your tinnitus dictate your life will only make it feel worse than it already is. I hope you get better, man. Cheers.
The difference is you can travel like 20 miles into the woods in less than an hour , but yes I love hiking and normal bike riding as well for the health reasons
Although a biker myself, I’d almost always prefer hiking into the higher forests. Start on a Friday evening back by Sunday evening. Every week is a new direction.
Well unless you like seeing people represent Ukraine flags more than American flags , high crime rate and terrible politicians make sure to just visit lol this place does not feel like “America”
So, while I'm not sold on e-bikes, this sort of thing seems like a great place for them. When you're somewhere that quiet means something, it's nice to be able respect that with your ride =)
@Chris-te7uk You'd be surprised at how common that is. Both for offroad use and taking it to a track, people throw their bikes into a truck and take it there.
@@wlt3585 Yeah, I've always had small sports coupes (Eclipse/BRZ/GR86) and even I fit my MTB inside the trunk. The downside is the range of distance you can cover when you get there. Obviously with a motorcycle, you can go much further/faster, which seems to make more sense out west. There's a use for both though!
Beautiful place Fun activities 😉 Get a Dualsport. I love that. I have a rally too and think it’s a great bike for doing a little bit of both on and off road. I think of it as a large enduro or small adventure. Keep up the great content.
You don’t need to stop your engine when biking or hiking to listen the birds. I have a motorcycle but not sure about it’s best option to be with nature.
My bike has been in storage for the last year because I moved from southeast Alaska to central Alaska but I should be getting it next week. Looking forward to hitting some trails and exploring. There’s trails everywhere here it’s gonna be sweet.
Good to know. I've been exploring the western half of the US and my end goal is Alaska. Camping the whole way. Although not on the bike. Bike in on a hitch rack behind my 2010 Ford Ranger.
@@GratefulEd907 I'm aiming to end up there mid August. So far I've been avoiding horrendous bugs and I've heard its real bad up there in summer. Actually, would you be interested in showing a guy around a few trails? Never been up there (from Manitoba, Can).
@@senditkevin man I wish I could. I’m working 6 days a week painting outside getting hammered by mosquitoes all day. I really enjoy your channel. I like the sport for the same reasons you do, but unfortunately I’m too old & broken to do that kind of riding anymore. That’s why I picked up a Ural Gear Up. Now I can still get there, and easily carry enough stuff to make a pretty cushy campsite. I may not make the destinations as fast as the youngsters anymore, but I can bring a damned hot tub with me if I want to. 😎
No imagine a hiker trying to do the same kind of video about amazing silence in the woods... and all you can hear is the sound of a dirtbike driving around nearby...
Coming from a background of riding Superbike. I actually think I'm going to get a quad. Similarly priced. But will go through alot more, and carry alot more gear. Best benefit, it's pretty hard to drop a quad 😂. Same experience in the end tho ! Get out and love nature!
What have you used to secure your load on the back there mate? Thinking of getting a dual sport in the future and coming from sportsbikes I know nothing about storage space lol.
I have a 28 inch inseam I do own a TW love it but would like another dual sport. I am heavier then you are and live in siskiyou county. Which dual sport would you suggest?
Yeah, cause coming up on your motorcycle. You’re scared the shit out of all the animals. I wonder why it’s piss ass quiet. 😂😂😂😂. I just bought the KL are 650. Can’t wait to get to the forest.
I miss those days. Today the quieter it is the louder the ringing in my ears are. Enjoy it !

It's just life
Same years of shooting, loud machines, and just farm noise caught up
All of the non-biking hikers are looking at this with disbelief.
😆👍🏽no doubt

The irony of promoting motorcycling as a way to enjoy the sounds of nature is off the charts clueless
You do know that you occasionally shut the bike off, right? Like the exact thing that's happening in this video?
Where is this area
So jealous 😊
I agree but that motor isn’t a nature sound
that's why I turned it off
I was expecting a fart
how long did it take for the birds to come back from flying away from the motocycle shrill noise pollution
Tbh modern motorcycles are very quiet unless you go full throttle.
Mountainbikers have that experience the whole ride long. So does everyone around them too.
Depends on your hub choice 👍
Yeah, it is so tranquile and gorgeous and all you ADV sheeters spoil it with your machines. Get on a bicycle.

not if you using mountain bikes
Cool. So you ripped through the woods with your aftermarket exhaust and then you turn it off and enjoy the piece.
