- A few nights ago @morganwallen challenged me to the #DeepCutsChallenge. I decided to do “What Are You Listening To” by @chrisstapleton. This may not technically be a deep cut but it’s a song that didn’t get as much credit as I think it deserved. Chris, I’m sorry I messed up the bridge, don’t hate me. Hope y’all enjoy and I want to challenge @VinceGill to lay one down.
Every time this man strings a note and belts a tune, it’s like hearing him for the first time all over again. It’s what’s makes being alive in this moment worth every second.

@@jddallan1115 It's all subjective. I listen to both. Chris is special, his vocals are right up there with the very best. The passion and soul behind every lyric is something else. Luke more falls into the catchy, easy listening up beat category. His vocals don't move mountains the way Chris' do. Kinda like a male Jennifer Nettles.
I'm sure someone with a degree in music could point out the objective reasons why he's a better vocalist. Maybe certain notes he can hit or guitar skills etc. Chris being far superior on the latter, even to the untrained eye/ear.
Luke has catchy songs that do well and a good voice. Chris is simply special and a rare one off.

Heard of Tyler Childers? As well as Colter wall and Sturgill Simpson as mentioned. If you like the more Louisiana sound, Charley Crockett is good too. True country (minus Sturgill's newest album).

Luke Being my all time favorite had me scared when I saw what song he was going to sing. Some songs don’t need covered. I think anything Stapleton should be left alone (personally) THEN THIS HAPPENS!!! 🤯🤯🤯 Luke never disappoints!
I mean... he can obviously sing but he should’ve left Stapleton alone. 2 different leagues in my opinion. I don’t believe anybody in country music has the soul or chops that Stapleton has.
