    Thank you for helping me out with the set-up of NDI-HX capture app! Nice comprehensive walk-through! I was missing some simple key steps that I couldn't find or figure out until you showed me (using OBS with NDI plug-in on Ubuntu Linux and NDI-HX on Android).

    For OBS Ninja - you are using window capture rather than browser - use the browser (url settings) and you will get a better quality and low latency.

      Thank you for pointing this out. This is true - nowadays. When the video was made it was not supported, but I may have to do an update on this integration now that it is actually working again. 👍

    Thanks for putting this comparison together. Have you tried Epoccam from Elgato? I thought it was just another ”turn your phone into a webcam” but based on an install video it seems to also have NDI. It does max out at 1920x1080 but is considerably cheaper than NDI HX. Would be nice to see that in action as well.

      Thank you for the suggestion. I have not really seen that up to this point - must have slipped by me… then again, when I downloaded the NDI|HX app, it was free so that may have had something todo with it.
      I will try out the EpoCam and compare that as well. Whilst I was at it, I may also review "Camera for OBS Studio" which is another cable + NDI app. So we'll see how all those compare.

    Thank you for sharing this info. Im currently looking into NDI solutions for livestreaming, but OBS Ninja also seems to be an option to consider. Again, thank you for sharing.

      You’re welcome. It’s really no easy feet to find the right solution. I’m probably going to be using obs.Ninja for some remote podcasts. But it would be great to have a different solution.

      @@ChrisSpiegl What about the EpocCam app? It is currently only on IOS, but it will hopefully soon come to android as well.

      @@PIKAP00L I have EpocCam as well but I’d prefer to go with obs.camera - it’s a more dedicated app from a small tram that’s not as scattered than Elgato in their development. Has great features and customization abilities.
      I actually have videos planed about all of these. 😅

      @@PIKAP00L oh, I missed you are looking for Android. I don’t know Android apps for this type of work and I don’t know which app may work for you. Maybe obs.ninja is the best bet. 🌸

    Hello, is it possible to use NDI HX through the mobile USB?
    Thanks

      Not that I am aware of. the NDI|HX is a network based protocol and uses either ethernet or wifi.

      will this work for obs ninja bc does not let me apply video delay

    • @ChrisSpiegl
      @ChrisSpiegl  2 роки тому +2

      @@ripreviews1314 why doesn’t a delay on the video sources work? You have to apply the delay to all the sources that are not the OBS.Ninja - cause that’s the one that’s likely late.
