I am just about finished building one of these. This video was super helpful! For those wondering about the bottom slides, I found them being called pantry slides, and specifically I used KV 8000 slides.
Did you add the top slide as well for stability? Since there's no gravity load on it, would that be a standard center-mount slide inverted 180 degrees? or a single side mount rotated 90 degrees?
Such a good idea to pre-install the sliders with a piece of plywood to screw to ! Now I will finally decide to do my pull-out ! This was going to be the part that was going to be a pain ...problem solved ! Thank you!
Nice work. I like the tip of setting the glides on a separate base inside the cabinet. Some guys set the whole unit on wheels which I see as really cumbersome and prone to future issues.
incase anyone is still interested the glides/slides used in this build are Knape and Vogt undermount pantry slides. Im trying to buy them in Oz. No luck. Part # is 8000P
Good job ! I like your pull out pantry cabinet ! Next video for the small bedroom cabinet with glass ! Stay safe ! God bless ! Watching from Scotland !
My daughter has this right next to her fridge and it's wonderful! Hers doesn't have adjustable shelves but does have side rails on each shelf preventing things from falling over and off the shelves. We have two dishwashers so I'm thinking of taking one out and making these in its place.
Great job Ron! I have these tall, deep cabinets that waste a lot of space, especially at the top and have considered installing pull-outs. Your video has given me some ideas, and unfortunately, lengthened my honey-do list. Darlington, South Carolina
What a great job! It’s beautiful. I wish I had room for a slide out pantry. I’ve relegated a BR closet for a pantry with 2 large Home Depot heavy shelving units.
Nice work. However, speaking from experience of raising 7 children you may want to consider putting 2-3 inch rails on both sides of the shelves in the pantry to keep things from sliding and falling off the shelves when little toddlers open the doors....
I did some digging, apparently "Jet Jointer Clamps" or "Spring Jointer Clamps" (searching for "corner clamps" won't find them.) The look a lot easier to use if you already trust your corners; most modern corner clamps force a precise 90° angle, but are more cumbersome, I've never seen on that you can just slap right in like he did.
Ron, this was a very stunning project, you are so smart !!!!! wonder what types and where you get your slides for the pantry, are the bottom one and the top slides different ?
it looks great but my main concern is that, since the roll out shelves have no back board to them, things will probably slide off at some point, and if/when they fall off the shelf while the drawer is snugly in its recess, the flour or bag of spices will fall inside, in between the two pull out drawers, possibly staying there unnoticed and getting torn open. I think it would be a good idea to put at least a back-panel on each pullout drawer so you can prop up your stuff onto it and minimize things falling inside the recessed cabinet. You won't have access to things from both sides, but at least it will minimize risk of falling.
there is only a few videos about pullout pantry and this I love!!! I have my kitchen all ready for it but I am so afraid to do this by hand I dont have big tools and so far my drawers are all uneven, I cannot even imagine doing this project! I am panicking, question: when you did the pullout, did you put the top and bottom at the top and bottom to the front and back because of the slide and the weight? if I dont have the kind of hardware that you had can I install a couple of sides slides? and if I do, do I change the bottom and top of the pullout to the inside direction? please help Mr Ron!!!!!!!!
Im doing a cargo trailer conversion to an RV and am putting one of those in beside the entrance door... are those slides just drawer slides? have read that it might not be a good idea to use with heavy weights, I will only be able to put one slide on the bottom and one on the top.. if you have a name or part number that would be great.. and great work, been watching for years
That was great! I would really love a pantry like that. Unfortunately, there just isn't an appropriate place. I'm considering adding this to my master closet though. Even though it is a small walk-in, I think something like this might actually add some very needed useable space. Hmmmm. I'm going to need my tape measure and masking tape (to map out the footprint) to sell this idea to my husband.
Hi Ron, I have a pantry project. I decided to go with the pull out similar to yours. The space is deep and perhaps a little wider than the one you built. Instead of two side outs, I'm going with one. How did the slides hold up over time with the added weight of a full pantry?
You can Build it. " I'm the wife, I will enjoy it." Ron you are so handy. I want to build like this. Want and results are not in the same universe for me.
Great video! What I am trying to locate is the sliders on the bottom. Our local hardware box stores don't seem to carry these bottom mount sliders. Is there a part number or supplier you purchased these from?
That is a great idea and I think I'll add it to my long list of kitchen upgrade things to do! I appreciate your effort in making this video! I'm not sure if it is possible but can you place a reference to the router bits that you used?
Happy wife, happy life. Who are we kidding any day we can spend in the workshop with the spouses blessing is an awesome day. 😎 Don't tell my wife, but she thinks I loath her honey do list.
WHAT a husband! "if you want more shelves, I'll make you some more" - can't find them any better than this guy!!

@@dmg029 I'm not an expert, but I just used a regular drawer slide and it's been working fine.
Beautiful job. Your family is very lucky to enjoy your skills in woodwork
Good job Ron I been watching your work for years thank you ,thank you I’ve learned a lot from you
Your work is second to none may God continue to bless you and your family great work bottom line.
sir, you saved my life with the slide extensions. thank you
I just bounced out of my sick room and told my boyfriend that he is so lucky that I have so much time to watch home improvement videos!
This guy is a professional. Years upon years of knowledge and it shows with his work. Amazing!
Packed a ton into a short video. I’ll be watching this one again
Looks like a much better solution than a bunch of individual pull out drawers stacked on top of each other. What wife would not love this.
Such a good idea to pre-install the sliders with a piece of plywood to screw to !
Now I will finally decide to do my pull-out ! This was going to be the part that was going to be a pain ...problem solved ! Thank you!
Same here!

you really did Ron u ate with this
Wow! That is simply amazing! Great idea and great work!

Amazing work. Pleasure watching this.
This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!
Sweet and smart hubbie!

This looks great. Just what I was looking for.
Fantastic! That is a huge amount of space! Love it!
Nice job Ronny. Well done mate.
Thank You for this video! I was pondering on the same idea for my kitchen!

Another great job Ron!
What a great job! It’s beautiful. I wish I had room for a slide out pantry. I’ve relegated a BR closet for a pantry with 2 large Home Depot heavy shelving units.
That came out beautyful......
That's a nice big fridge 😎
Absolutely need these
Great vid
Impressive. Now my wife wants me to build her this. I can't even build a frame for a vent hood. Thanks, dude.
Awesome job.
Wonderful, I love it.
Just amazing. Loved this presentation
I need 4 similar pantrys for my kitchen
Very nice design. Shelf edges need a bigger lip to keep items from slipping off. But ill take it lol
Man wouldn't I love a man like that.
absolutely beautiful.

Came here to say similar.
Big kids (over 30) may need assistance to keep from knocking things off too. :)
A wire rail or raised edge would be good.
From one cabinet maker to another. Well done.👏🏽😊
This is so cool.
This is just what we are looking for What bottom slides did you use?
Nice video Ron. What is the red colored clamp you are using in the corners in conjunction with the Kreg clamps?

What are the mounts for the bottom guides? Those were side guides with some kink of bracket that let you attach to the bottom of the cabinet.
Great job 👍
Anyone know what type of slides he used? Or at least the mounting brackets for the bottom slides?
Very informative video. Thank you.

Nice project. Can you advise what type of drawer slides you used, including what weight rating they have. Thanks.
Thank you I’ve been wanting to build something like this for years. Where did you get the glides from?
Camera Guy --> 🎥😉👌
Excellent work 👍 I mean... ✨🌠
This is a great video that is perfect for the new year!!! We are sharing on our social media!!!!

Great job, but why would you sand and paint before you installed them?

Sir, can this upright be next to the the oven/stove?
Can u tell me what slides you used for the pantry units? I love this.
You can Build it. " I'm the wife, I will enjoy it."
Ron you are so handy. I want to build like this. Want and results are not in the same universe for me.
What is that slide in jig you used to keep the shelf square at 7:28?? It is really cool
why is it when i see videos like this which i like but no one lists the parts like the slides and where to get them
U saved ur wife thousands...love it
Any info on those drawer glides? The top looks like an undermount style, but the bottoms look vertical
Would adding lips to the shelves help prevent food from shifting and falling out?
Since there is no pull or handle on the slide outs did you add a fingertip groove? Or something?
Yea, I think they need handles.
What slides did you use? I am having a hard time finding something that will work.
Great video! What I am trying to locate is the sliders on the bottom. Our local hardware box stores don't seem to carry these bottom mount sliders. Is there a part number or supplier you purchased these from?
Question, who makes the corner/joint clamp that you used? Never seen that type. Great video. Thanks
Did you ever find out who makes the clamp?
Looks really good, where do you reject the heat?
is it a commercial fridge?
has to be to feed them
That is a great idea and I think I'll add it to my long list of kitchen upgrade things to do! I appreciate your effort in making this video! I'm not sure if it is possible but can you place a reference to the router bits that you used?
anyone know where to get those drop on corner clamps?
What is that flip-up extension for your table saw? Is it made specifically for your tablesaw? If so what brand is that?
Well I wish you lived in Las Vegas. I could get a lot done from you 😊
It's like watching Ned Flanders.
Hi,
What mft model of table saw do you have and how long, please. I've learned a lot thanks
DELTA 36-953 UNISAW 52 INCH TABLE SAW WITH THE HTC EXTENSION ROLLER TABLE AND WITH A BIESEMEYER FENCE ($3,000.00 +)
I’m thinking the baby he was referring to at the beginning just turned 30.
might be they both look like they are 9 months
Not that old, his syndicated TV show only started in 1999.
Jeff Kerr His children are 16 and 19 (as of 2020).
Uncalled for unkind comment!
@@altha-rf1et … uncalled for unkind comment! ☹️
Not a big fan of pocket screws, but they work well in this application.
Where can I find the hardware for what you're doing?
did anyone find out which slides he used?
Ikea Billie Book Case with false front panels on castors.
Happy wife, happy life.
Who are we kidding any day we can spend in the workshop with the spouses blessing is an awesome day. 😎
Don't tell my wife, but she thinks I loath her honey do list.
When was this made?
Baby? Ron still doing work in his 50s good for him.
what is tht software? how old it is might be 98winow
where did you get the glides from?
Wow, he just built her 3000 dollars worth of cabinets 🤩! That is a worthy husband to care for well 😊
how can 38 people dislike this? must be 38 dated fridges out there....
Back when pocket screws were a novelty and cordless impact drivers didn't exist...
I laughed a lot at "SO here's your virtual refriugrator"
when was this video made? looks so 80s...
Not the pull out I was expecting
Yep yep yep yep.
"You did a great job." We all know what that meant. 😏
