- Sad Cafe - On with the Show
This is the best Sad Cafe track I've heard and they performed it brilliantly here live.
The clip is from an old VHS tape that I re-discovered recently so the quality of image is poor but well worth watching - especially for the superb guitar work.
I was absolutely obsessed with this band back in the day. Lost count of how many times I saw them live. They were so, so good.
Sensational band. Now that's a way to open a show!
The original lineup, the best lineup & one of the greatest bands I have ever heard live (I've seen a few!!).
Great, great band. Hugely underrated, and Paul was a fantastic singer. Saw them 3 times at their peak and this was their opener - I remember the lights lifting and that building guitar intro. Brilliant. RIP Paul Young.
One of the best live albums I have heard. Very underrated.
Got to know Paul originally from Wythenshawe, through a mutual friend.
Once Sad Cafe became big and started touring, Paul would often provide (Kennedy Street Enterprises) venue passes for his old pals.
The band would always open with this song
Fond memories - RIP Paul
Happy memories. Wonderful band. Saw them live many times and had the privilege of working in the studio with Ian and Dave in Cheadle Hulme in '86.
Excellent opening to a gig
What a choon 😍 These were the glory days of Caff. ❤️
Saw them three times....fantastic performance every time
This song brings me out in goosebumps
The title is On with the Show, originally released in the UK in 1978 on the album Misplaced Ideals (RCA 25133). Yes brilliant.
Enjoy AK x
Ashley Mulford could play a bit
I saw Sad Cafe at Preston on several occasions. This is the song they always started with. They were the best live band I ever heard. Do you know that if you comment on a video posted by Des Tong, he usually replies to you personally?(which is fantastic!) Thanks for this
There are some good people out there!
Just like the other Paul Young!
Thanks Hydrographics! Title changed
did they delete Access All Areas full show ?
