Currently doing research on these 'functional fibers' that come in syrup or powder forms and are added to every avant-garde processed food that claims to be 'healthier'. It is scary how little real research has been done on these relatively new food ingredients. I am leaning towards skeptical, for now.

chicory root and inulin ruined my life for years. I had really bad IBS-D as I didn't realize that the coffee substitute I was drinking was causing this. I thought it was healthy. And then, my entire body broke out in a rash/hives. I didn't realize that the collagen powder, protein bars and sugar-free items I was consuming all contained inulin. I've now finally figured it out after suffering for years and am doing my best to avoid this substance but its been horrible

Really? Isnt it because you are allergic? I've been using ilunin powder on my morning drink and i havent had any side effect yet execept i go to the bathroom more often now.
Hey abdelhadi nadif, dandelion root is filled with many vitamins and fiber, so their nutrient profiles are different, and dandelion flowers are yellow.
I add a scoop to my coffee cup each day. Has a slightly sweet taste. I like it.

that's crazy as inulin healed my gut. Since ingesting 30g of it a day I have no more silent acid reflux

Hi. My herbal teas contain this ingredient. Is it ground up in the tea?
