My S2 McCarty 594 in Eriza Verde Smoke Burst is the first PRS I have had and I've been a die hard Gibson and Epiphone player for years. I still like the other 2 but they don't compare to the PRS. Mine has the 58/15 "S" LT pups. The "S" meaning import and I couldn't believe the PRS import pups sound better than Gibson USA pups, IMO. They are great. Mine is a 2022 model that was NOS so i got a deal om it from Chuck Levin's @ $1,400 over the Memorial Day Holiday. The newer S2's have the USA made 58/15's in them now I do believe. I don't see how they could be much better though. I mean these are already better than Gibsons.
Looking to jump to the PRS team next.
I've owned American Fender, Gibson les Paul, Gretsch etc, but never a PRS.
I will unfortunately need a core PRS model with those nice, carved tops. I probably need a Tremolo, too.

Was blown away by mine. Moved to a Hollowbody II and I am jonesing for another.
I’m thinking a 594 will be my next. I want to try out a 24-08 too though.
I have 2 a beautiful double cut solid body and a double cut semi hollow. The are both amazing guitars and they are the only guitars I play. My strat and Les Paul get no play time.

I do own a McCarty 594 10- top. Black and Gold. Beautiful instrument.
