I love guitars!!! I really love the humanity, warmth and enthusiasm these 2 guys bring to reviews. These are like real reviews rather than sales reviews, and they can be just plain entertaining. Guys, please keep up the good work. A Limey in the US of A
Just want to say, I've been watching Rob Chappers and the Captain for years. It's always a pleasure to return to your videos which focus on material that brings people together, rather than dividing one another. Thank you for all your hard work, great playing, and excellent insight! You guys, and Rabea, Pete, Matt H, and eveyone on the Chappers and Anderton's team, I have sincere gratitude for what you do.
The Capt has a great old blues feel man... while Sir Chapman here can really shred... Thats a great combination... And its a pleasure hearing you two.. Great playin man!!
Watching this video when it came out was the first time I saw/heard this guitar, and now a year later I own a beautiful singlecut in McCarty Sunburst finish. What a guitar! Thanks for releasing all this great content guys!
I like the PRS core McCarty range, Fender Custom Shop strats and Gibson Custom Shop Les Pauls. All worth the money if you buy them lightly used. I do not think one is better than the other, just different.
Late to comment, but I just bought a 594, and it is an incredible guitar. It feels immediately familiar. A totally great instrument without the oddities of an older guitar, and coil taps!
Love you guys! one thing I think the fellas doing that pedal show have one upped you with though is their quick switching between amps and guitars. Get ye a 3 to 1 switch box boys!
These new PRS 594's are by far my favorite new guitars. Awesome sounds, tapped and the tops are drop dead gorgeous . I've got an artist model and can't wait to get another some day. This guitar has caused more excitement than any guitar I can remember.
Please do a video of Lee just talking about his new PRS for 2 hours.

Broken glass is back! Yeah. And Captain at 24:36 like a kid in a candy store with full pockets of dough is priceless. Enjoy Your new guitar Captain (Lee).
I went into my local shop to discover they just stocked PRS and I fell in love... you guys make everything sound amazing... I just want to be your friends... haha
Holy Shit. Rob just played a chord progression I thought I made up. At 14:34 when he goes from E minor to D Major to C Major triads, leaving the first 3 strings open so you get another E minor triad. I've been making loops with it for a while. I guess there is nothing new under the Sun.
Wolf Slayer : Friend, does it really make you so upset that individuals make a living? I am a guitar loving hack who will never make a cent from my association/love/compulsion with the guitar, but I must admit, it would be cool if I could. Captain and Rob, the work you for hacks like me, is greatly appreciated. It's not easy to do what you do well...and make it look effortless. Even better you can support a family doing it. Keep up the good WORK. Cheers from Florida guys.
Wolf Slayer Dude, what the fuck man? I was talking about how Rob foresaw Lee will get a SC594, what the actual fuck your reply has to do with that?! And just so you know, Chappers and Lee worked really hard to come to the place they are today, if you are salty about it, it is your problem, but I love both of them and everyone involved with their vids (and I am talking about Dorje and Toska as well), so go and rant at someone elses comment
Wolf Slayer you are clearly a toxic person, you can't stand that these guys love what they do and bring all their energy and force of personality to the table in ways you can only dream of. What percentage of people are actually going to buy these guitars after seeing these videos, and then what percentage will buy that product from the Andertons store itself and not a local dealer. In the end Rob and Lee make great videos showing us new products and entertaining us on the way, I won't rush out to buy everything they review just because they said so. But it's nice to hear a demo if I'm already in the market for something. It's the very fact that lee is a retailer is why they can have access to the products in the first place. I mean what, you want them to tear this stuff apart and tell you all its shortcomings and paint it in the harshest light? So nobody wins and we all go home and troll people having a good time watching Rob C and cry ourselves to sleep.
Wolf Slayer what part of this super expensive PRS is for up and coming players, I know for a fact that with cheaper gear they do discuss how it may or may not be professional grade
+Matteo K i don't mean this particular guitar. If you have watched the other video Paul says that he brought him the single cut in the colour wich Lee liked, as Lee said in this video. It seems odd to me how Paul knew though, before this video was released.
The great PRS conspiracy plot thickens... Really though, Lee said him and Paul know each other pretty well so I'm sure Paul already knew what kind of taste in guitars Lee had well before this video or NAMM :P
This video was recorded before the NAMM and Lee did email Paul to ask him to make the SC 594 in his favorite color... Go watch the NAMM video again and you will understand, Lee is mentioning it right before the interview and reveal. And that's also why at first Lee just think that Paul did listen to his suggestion to make it... and that's why he's even more surprised when he learned it was also a gift for him. It was the "perfect SC 594" as he described and wanted and was (from this video) ready to actually buy... make sense?
That camera glance at 6:34 "you are thicker" LOL! dying laughing. I'm deciding this week, which of these two guitars to go with.... such a struggle. I was hell bent on single cut but I just don't know, such a hard call as the other is probably more playable right? What a struggle.
I have the Double Cut 2016 594 myself and its an incredible instrument - not just visually but tonally and playability too. Perfect is certainly a word I would use when describing a PRS. Considering all the fit, finish, fret work etc is all done by hand and don't have the imperfections that other models have who all do the same work by hand too, show the quality of the craftsmanship of these. I also have a 509, Custom 24, Hollowbody II and a Special 22 Semi-hollow, all with the same perfection show that they are incredibly consistent too. I would have NO hesitation in recommending PRS at all....
I've been watching your videos for quite a bit of time now. I'm still not used to the cup smashing sound. I just freaked out and was looking on my floor for shattered glass. EVERY VIDEO
I wonder if those are the stock strings on the McCarty, the PRS Signature Series? I found them a bit odd... Stunning for clean, but on the dirty channel it was almost like the harmonics from the strings were overwhelming the amp. Strange. Switched to my DRs and there was a lot more bite and snarl...
If anyone else noticed at 23:15 lee started to play the riff from "Finding my Way" by Rush off their first 1974 album. Not the exact same but pretty close to it.
I would love to know what the "artist's tweaks" that PRS are doing on your PRS are Lee? It was a real treat to see you speechless when Paul gave you your guitar, great viewing!
well, i am a PRS(x2) owner, so no need to sell me ... but i gotta say, these videos do a LOT to sell the amps being demo'd and owe wonders to how well the videos are made ... even with youtube compression, they sound quite good
OMFG Lee Mutha-Fukin Captain Anderton daaanks?!??! You have gotten a lot better bud, this jam at the intro is a perfect way to pay respect to PRS himself for giving you that beauty recently! Edit: Isnt lee holding almost the exact guitar he gets from Paul?!?
I think he probably has got better but I think he was always good. Confidence is a big thing with playing, I feel like everybody’s playing goes up and down based on there confidence.
so cool to know how the PRS story evolves for Lee after this was recorded. If you haven't seen it yet look for the PRS video at NAMM - class acts on both sides and serious PRS stoke-age.
The single cut is glorious. Only reason I went double is the top and finish on mine was love at first sight. Also have a Starla and an S2 single cut so many a single cut in the house but on the 594, you cannot go wrong. I agree with the other comment. The PRS guitars are worth the money all day long. You get everything you hoped for with a core PRS.
I had a £3500 PRS Custom 24 artist pack, with the dial pickup switch, from Andertons around 10 years ago, I took it back around 2 weeks later and traded back to a Gibson Les Paul Std, I've had PRS se245 models as backup guitars and flipped neck magnets,
ive been watching this channel long enough that i remember when Rob was a god at guitar and Lee was ok, to when Rob is great at what he does and Lee's sick blues flow gives me a chub.
Better watch out Chappers, The Captain's playing is coming to get ya! Jk you are still fab, but he has gotten much better at playing than in some of the other videos I have watched. P.S. Love the glass breaking sound.
the editng of these videos coupled with the innuendo etc are absolutely brilliant. So enjoyable to watch
I love guitars!!! I really love the humanity, warmth and enthusiasm these 2 guys bring to reviews. These are like real reviews rather than sales reviews, and they can be just plain entertaining. Guys, please keep up the good work. A Limey in the US of A
Rob actually predicted what Paul would do at Namm , amazing , you deserve it captain
Absolutely loving that blue single cut!
The awesome thing is Paul gave Lee his dream guitar that he's in-visioning in this video after it was shot at NAMM! What a guy!
Lee I have been following you guys for years now and I must say your playing has really grown into it's own. Well done.
Love the video's guys! Keep up the good work. Bought a double cut McCarty 594 just yesterday.
PRS are the only guitar that are worth the price in my honest opinion.
Totally agree - I have 5 now and everyone is worth the money!!
Suhr, Anderson... not quite there, bud.
I like the PRS core McCarty range, Fender Custom Shop strats and Gibson Custom Shop Les Pauls. All worth the money if you buy them lightly used. I do not think one is better than the other, just different.
Mike Lipe
I'm pretty sure PRS guitars are just les pauls with a sexy spanish accent.
Who doesn't like a sexy spanish accent :P
To me they are two different languages.
yeah, except for body shape, which makes quite big difference for me
its weird to say.. i used to call PRS guitars.. are les paul customs... @@
Sorry for mien stupidity.. XD
Dime BagBarrells Shouldn't you be playing a Dean right now?
Every time I see more of PRS, the more I want one.
Loved that opening jam! Especially Lee's solo. So good
I'm sold. I'm going to buy a PRS594.
A little 'Sharp Dressed Man' vibe on the beginning :)
Well, can't argue with that.
fantastic playing in this one Lee. Hard work paying off! Lovely lovely guitars also.
Haha great Namm prediction :) That was amazing! Can't wait for a proper demo of your new PRS
This is great considering what was about to happen for Lee. Good stuff.
I've watched dozens of your videos but I've never heard the captain play a guitar that inspired him like this! That playing was great.
Wow Rob actually saw into the future. Congrats on the new guitar Captain!
It's been years lads, I think it's time for another shaffordable guitar shootout 👏 also greetings from Ireland Rob:)
That finish on the single cut, amazing
Love the glass breaking sound for the mug setdowns :D Enjoy your new PRS!
That single cut is beautiful guitar.
Wolf Slayer The beauty isn't all based on the Les Paul design. it has a beautiful finish, plus he could have been talking about the sound
Noel Kriegler it's a les paul innovation than a copy in my opinion
Les Paul's ares hit compared to an American PRS guitar
Les Pauls may be a hit compared to the PRS but so is Mc Donalds compared to fine dining :-)
The double cut made both of them play better :)
Late to comment, but I just bought a 594, and it is an incredible guitar. It feels immediately familiar. A totally great instrument without the oddities of an older guitar, and coil taps!
Lee! Holy shit! You've been practicing lately haven't you?
Alex pls
Hank Hill hank pls
Hank, that's pretty good!
Xavier pls
Hank Hill Pls
Love you guys! one thing I think the fellas doing that pedal show have one upped you with though is their quick switching between amps and guitars. Get ye a 3 to 1 switch box boys!
"oh no the Captain is talking about eractions again, cut to playing!"
My god those guitars are beautiful.
XD that cup breaking effect always tickles me
Wish I saw this gushing over PRS before I saw your NAMM PRS video. No wonder it shook Lee so much. Congrats man. If anyone deserves that, it's you.
I'm in love with that single cut
These new PRS 594's are by far my favorite new guitars. Awesome sounds, tapped and the tops are drop dead gorgeous . I've got an artist model and can't wait to get another some day. This guitar has caused more excitement than any guitar I can remember.
Ohhhh neck binding !!!! Sweet
Please do a video of Lee just talking about his new PRS for 2 hours.

Damn, Lee, you are sounding great on your solos last few vids. Keep it up whatever you are doing :D
Lee, your playing gets better every video. I wish mine had improved as much.
Well turns out Lee did get a PRS!!!
I agree with Lee. The single cut is the first PRS I’ve really wanted to own
Welp, Rob, you are now officially a clairvoyant
Wolf Slayer : Friend, does it really make you so upset that individuals make a living? I am a guitar loving hack who will never make a cent from my association/love/compulsion with the guitar, but I must admit, it would be cool if I could.
Captain and Rob, the work you for hacks like me, is greatly appreciated. It's not easy to do what you do well...and make it look effortless. Even better you can support a family doing it.

Cheers from Florida guys.

How fucking high is he?
Great video guys! Beautiful guitars
In today's episode of "Anderton's TV" The Cap'n starts an intense romantic relationship with an inanimate object.
Just got my double-cut 594 on Friday. The finish is charcoal burst. It's GORGEOUS! I've barely been able to put it down.
Watching this and knowing Paul gives Lee the guitar he describes is awesome. 😄 Had to rewatch that video.
Good prediction on Lee's meeting with Paul Rob!
Rob is loving the fact that Lee is just drool all over that singlecut.
Hahaha, I love the shattering sound effect when Lee puts his cup down off screen, first time it happened I laughed far too hard out loud.
Lol that cup breaking sound is great XD
What a beautiful pre/post-empt to the NAMM show!!
How much does it weigh a PRS single cut McCarty 594?
These PRS are great but man... This R8 is pure honey.
Didn't Paul Reed Smith himself gift this guitar to Lee at NAMM?
Wyldie BlaDe this was recorded before NAMM
+Matteo K i don't mean this particular guitar. If you have watched the other video Paul says that he brought him the single cut in the colour wich Lee liked, as Lee said in this video. It seems odd to me how Paul knew though, before this video was released.

I thnk it's funny how Lee was never a PRS guy and yet he gets a free one from Paul.. when Chappers is the real PRS fan lol
That camera glance at 6:34 "you are thicker" LOL! dying laughing. I'm deciding this week, which of these two guitars to go with.... such a struggle. I was hell bent on single cut but I just don't know, such a hard call as the other is probably more playable right? What a struggle.
I wonder how much the dye in the different colors affects the tone?
A lotta times I feel down when watching these reviews because I know I may never be able to afford any of them...
I've always preferred the vintage cheery and tobacco burst type colours, but that blue single cut is gorgeous !!
I have the Double Cut 2016 594 myself and its an incredible instrument - not just visually but tonally and playability too. Perfect is certainly a word I would use when describing a PRS. Great video!!!! So much fun.
Loved the opening jam
I loved seeing this after seeing Paul give him a guitar at Namm! That was awesome!
I've been watching your videos for quite a bit of time now. I'm still not used to the cup smashing sound. I just freaked out and was looking on my floor for shattered glass. EVERY VIDEO
HOLY SHIT! They finally made some guitars with the knobs and switches in the right spots!
9:52 I'm sorry what? PRS now does over fret edge binding? Can't find any info on this.
haha, funny how things turn our Lee, eh? Still waiting on the repeat review when yours arrives. What a fab guitar.
I love seeing this after the NAMM show, knowing what happened when he met with Paul!
That "you are thicker" stare at 6:24. Hilarious.
Not the exact same but pretty close to it.
i wonder what rob thought when he saw lee get that prs from paul
So many sweet Captain licks!
Some pretty intelligent licks going on here!
The 594 has more presence and way more snappier than the 58. Both are marvelous sound though.
that 594 white switch looks like a pimple
Love the single cut - especially that blood orange one Lee played it Bernie's.
I would love to know what the "artist's tweaks" that PRS are doing on your PRS are Lee? It was a real treat to see you speechless when Paul gave you your guitar, great viewing!
are you going to export chapman guitars to south america?
hello from Uruguay!
Lee's solos are fantastique !
That faded whale blue is a stunner. I want a natural backed artist package version something fierce.
That tone on the ZZ Top song is PHAN-tastic!
How about a comparison between 594 Custom and Les Paul Standard??? Please??? Also perhaps a PRS 408???
well, i am a PRS(x2) owner, so no need to sell me ... but i gotta say, these videos do a LOT to sell the amps being demo'd and owe wonders to how well the videos are made ... even with youtube compression, they sound quite good
OMFG Lee Mutha-Fukin Captain Anderton daaanks?!??! You have gotten a lot better bud, this jam at the intro is a perfect way to pay respect to PRS himself for giving you that beauty recently!
Edit: Isnt lee holding almost the exact guitar he gets from Paul?!?
Owner of guitar shop says "I might buy one. I'll have a word with Paul". Yes that's just what I was about to do!!! In my dreams!!!
I have a McCarty 594. Can’t find a 594 Custom existing anywhere. Is the 594 Custom synonymous with the McCarty 594?
That 594 Singlecut is GORGEOUS!
Is it just me or is the captain significantly better than he was a couple years ago?
yeah, he's gotten better!
Getting closer to that 10,000 hours
Working with Rob & Danish Pete he's probably thought I better practice a lot more. Those guys are just showing me up. :)
I think he probably has got better but I think he was always good. Confidence is a big thing with playing, I feel like everybody’s playing goes up and down based on there confidence.
Absolutely, he’s playing with a lot more confidence and finding his own sound.
so cool to know how the PRS story evolves for Lee after this was recorded. If you haven't seen it yet look for the PRS video at NAMM - class acts on both sides and serious PRS stoke-age.

27:02 - OMG!! chappers is Psychic!

Rob is psychic! Also, probably one of the best guitars you guys ever demoed, swap the colours around and i take 2 of each please. (i wish)
Those are beautiful guitars, but I would have to go with one of the new Chapman Pros or something. ;)
The Captain definitly seems more inspired by this guitar than any others I've seen him in those videos!
ive been watching this channel long enough that i remember when Rob was a god at guitar and Lee was ok, to when Rob is great at what he does and Lee's sick blues flow gives me a chub.
