Thank you for teaching it certainly is helpful 😊
Thank you for this terrific tutorial. You’re a natural teacher. I look forward to continuing my painting experience with you. I am so happy I found your channel.😊
Today is my first time coming across your tutorials. I'm definately going to subscribe to your channel and share your unmatched skills. You bring teaching to a whole new level. Your knowledge is extensive and worth teaching to others. The tips you have given in this lesson are more than I've learned watching several other artists for the past 3 years, in both the sketch , and the painting and the shading. Thank you so much. I hope you go fast and have those classes around the world where people come from around the world, for 10 -14days in a beautiful part of the world. Not that i can afford to go but if i could you would be the most worthy. ❤😊
That means so much to hear, thank you for saying that!! It's great to have you here. :D
O MG! Thank you for bringing so much joy and satisfaction to my painting journey. I was ready to give up and sell my supplies. Everything that says beginner is way too advanced for me, but now I have a teacher. I am so happy.❤
Your style works! So far I don't think you have said, " This is so easy!" Thank you. Step by step works and you have simplified the glazing enough that I am stunned at the results.
Me me me!! Im messy and I also do acrylic so that’s is a whole new …..
♥♥♥♥
Rather than repeat what has already been said, let me just say, "I think I've found my tribe." 😊
I love how you break down the drawing of the folded petals! You made it so simple and easy to understand. I have been painting loose florals in watercolor for a solid 2 years and have started to learn how to draw florals to level up my watercolor paintings. This was a great step by step! I'm so glad I found you! Can't wait to see more! ❤🎉
Aww, thank you for saying that!! I'm so glad you're here, it's great to have you. :)
I really enjoy your drawing instructions. Very helpful.
Thanks for sharing this lesson. I have been practicing watercolors for about 3 years. I try to avoid drawing. Your lesson kinda helped with perspective.😊
Thank you! This was very helpful in learning how to draw flowers fron the side and having the back and side petals look realistic. 😊
I’m so pleased to see your endless supply of palettes with paint on - I have the same (happy) problem. You’ve given me th elides to use up those paints for some bookmarks I have planned and maybe I’ll even be able to wash up and clean up some of those palettes 😂. Can’t bear the thought of wasting all that beautiful paint.
Thank you so much. This has been incredibly helpful in learning to draw flowers. 🌸
I am so excited and beyond thrilled to have found your site. I have been trying to draw & watercolor for the last year. Making progress but I love that you include all of the steps and break it down. Please don't change your teaching style - it is absolutely wonderful!
Many thanks for breaking this down into steps; making it so enjoyable and doable. I realize I need to slow down and enjoy the process, rather than rushing to try and produce something nice. Love your videos. It's as if you are right here, teaching me in person; easy to forget it's virtual. Thank you so much. from Linda
Your drawings are very helpful. I struggle with perspective and you clear it up! Thank you!!
That was lovely. I have been struggling with the side view of flowers.
Thank you
Using the dark marker was perfect. I could actually see the lines, it made it more understandable.
You're pallets are all so bright. Didn't know the paint lasted that long. Good to know. ❤
I’m loving learning from u Alex. I’m from Ireland and I’m a complete beginner. I’m doing this for my mental health and also my physical health is rubbish particularly my back so I’m practicing and watching tutorials every day. So good for the soul.
Alex, I just found you today! I love you! Your work is beautiful and your teaching style is awesome!! I’m looking forward to learning a lot from you!
I recently found you. Love your step by step. Really like how you explain the change in perspective so that flowers donk come out all wonkey. Changing the center and radiating lines, really helps. I'll be watching and saving many more of you videos. Thanks very helpful.
Excellant drawing lessons. For me, I've taken up using watercolor pencils to draw the items. Using the closest colors needed for that item. No erasing... Water applies the pencil colors...
❤ You are an awesome teacher! I really love your painting at the back of your room behind you…are they peonies? SO very beautiful!
Hi just found your channel, I wanted to learn more about painting flowers and found you so happy thank you just did lesson 2 very good ,im from Aruba 😊nice to meet you ,will continue with you bless you ❤shalom
i am learning so many tips from you. You are so knowlegable and have teaching and artistic skills
Thank you so much for this tutorial! Definitely learned new information. 🙏💕
I’m new to watercolor, drawing etc. I’m a photographer with a primary subject of florals and landscape. I’m already seeing that managing the mess from painting is going to be a challenge!
Thank you!!! I learned more about painting in layers and how best to drop in colors to watch their magic.
Loved this video!! Especially the 3 ways of showing shadows & depth! Thank you💖
I’m very new to watercolors and this is very helpful. Thank you!
really like the way you taught the petal folds. an excellent tutorial thank you
I absolutely enjoy your tutorials. Best wishes to you. Thank you so much 😊💕
I am always so encouraged by artists who say they are self taught. I felt for so long that I could not consider myself an artist unless I had a college degree in art. This said, I have taken numerous workshops and courses throughout the years and actually sell some of my paintings. I began my art making and recognition when I was a young child and never stopped learning. I’ve gone through many mediums , now that I am retired and have downsized to just graphite sketches and watercolors. I love your teaching technique and follow you and other presenters. I am so grateful for the things I have learned from so many. I finally do identify myself as an artist. Thank you for all that you do. My art has grown so much as well as my confidence in showing my art. Thank you for the validation.
You are so good at teaching. Too bad I want nothing to do with Facebook or Instagram.
I learn something with each tutorial I watch, thank you
Great explanation of perspective of tilted flowers.
Thank you!
What a great tutorial. I learned a lot. Thank you so much
I’m so glad I found you! You are making the process easier to understand. Thank you for taking your time and explaining your drawing techniques. I am an acrylic artist that relies on traceables. I feel more confident now with drawing. Even excited about it. Did you have formal training or all self taught? I love your style of teaching!❤️
Hi Tracy!
That's so good to hear, thank you for saying that. :D And Alex is all self-taught, can you believe that!?

Thank you, Alex! Love being part of your Garden Studio. Every tutorial is so valuable.💕
You are such a good teacher! I really don’t like to draw or feel confident about drawing, but your detailed instructions are so helpful! Thank you!
H stands for Hard. B stands for Black. I just found your tutorials and they are really helpful! Thank you so much.
I have learned more in watching two of your tutorials than I learned in the past 4 years of watching various other artist's tutorials. You've given me new hope! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I think you just cleaned out my drawers!
I love the different pen work!
