I hated the eye doctors as a kid. That one machine they use to blow air into your eye felt like staring down the barrel of a gun, and my tics just *did not* agree to do such a thing.
I know this has nothing to do with the video, but I absolutely love all ur tics!!! I know it's not always good, but I love u girl, thanks always for your wonderful info into your tourettes. Much love always ❤❤❤❤
Similar to symphonies is musicals. Recently, we had tickets to my favorite musical when I had a cold so my squeak-grunting tic was noticeably loud and about every 5 seconds. The only way I got through it was applause and loud songs
where’d you get that fidget toy ? I wanna get one. I like that type of fidget. also I’m proud of you for opening up. I adore you. keep being true to yourself. I love your content. much love ❤️ ❤
ANYWHERE that requires you to be still for any reason ie, the salon, dentist, any sort of performance/meeting, eye doctor, any kind of like, athletic class (think yoga or spinning). some of my experiences. my tics started manifesting when I was 11, and I didn't get diagnosed until I was about 16 or 17. the tic that DEFINED my teen years was coughing/throat clearing, it isolated me completely. I got kicked out of math class every day of 9th grade for coughing. I was constantly having people try to force cough drops and water on me, as if that would help. I stabbed a kid with a pencil for repeatedly forcing cough drops on me. I loved being in choir and drama class, but chose to stop because I was getting constantly bullied. I was also a theater kid, and the program I was with made a point of including everyone, no matter the disability or condition. in one of those classes we were practicing a dance (jellical cats from cats for demo night) which required me to stay still for several seconds. I told the instructor "Hey I have tourettes I can't stay still" and she basically told me to just control myself. so I refused to participate and that made her big mad lol. I enjoy going to see plays as well, and as a kid my dad and I would always get seats at the back so as not to disturb anyone with my tics. one time we got our back row seats, and a family chose to sit it in the row behind us, and then complained when I was coughing. and ALL THE UNSOLICITED ADVICE, HOLY CRAP. "Oh you should see a doctor!" "have you tried this tea?" "have you tried NOT coughing?" have you tried shutting the fuck up? rant over
for me the dentist is the worst one since i have lots of oral tics including biting. I've avoided going to the dentist since but yeah. i'm really lucky that i work in a loud environment where i can tic it out and my coworkers wont mind
Thank you so much for creating your channel, content, & the work you do. I'm grateful you exist & for having crossed paths (digitally) with you. I don't have tourettes, but I do have tics (physical--face, head, & body). They started in 2019 with panic and anxiety attacks strong enough to prevent me from working ever since. It's been so meaningful to be able to learn more about the experiences of others and build more understanding for what I and others experience. Its empowering, healing, & helping. Thank you from a new follower and fan. ❤🥰🫶✨️
