So when you say easterly or north easterly wind do you mean it’s from east blowing west, meaning it’s blowing into mainland. Whereas westerly wind would be coming from west to east (out to the ocean). Is that correct? Is the reason it’s dangerous because there’s more wind behind the waves when they’re crashing onto the rocks? I just don’t want to be inadvertently going at the worst conditions 😅.
Hey bro abit late to the video but why would shorter intervals between waves be better wouldn’t that mean they are forming faster I’m not sure how that works
Wave period is measured in seconds and is the gap between one wave and the next. The higher the wave period, the more energy in the swell and so the larger the wave.
An easy location would be South Curl Curl in the north, Bear Island in Botany, or the National Park at Kurnell. But you must be aware of the conditions. Good luck mate
Nearly lost my life ar north curl curl. Been fishing the rocks for years. Got hit by a rogue wave. Turned my back for litterally for a couple of seconds and nailed me. Lucky to be here.

I was referring to easterly swell, meaning the swell is coming from the east.
If the wind is coming from the same direction, yes it will make conditions choppier. I hope that makes sense.
Thank you for your explanation. 😊

Do u put the reels on the rod or put them in the bag? If its the bag have u had issues of damage
We do that with our expensive reels, because sometimes they can get damaged on the way to the spot.
Thanks for the video, mate! As a beginner to rock fishing from sydney, would you recommend somewhere to go to get a feel for it and possibly catch?

what's the size of the dry bag bro? would it fit legal kinggie?
25 or 30 litre dry bag will fit 1.2cm tuna,.so legal kingies would fit, but the tail will stick out of the top.
@@TeamKingiesFishingCrewThanks bro, I guess you meant 1.2m not 1.2cm tuna wkwk
@@hokben2go yeah bro 🤣... 1.2cm is the sashimi
Hey dude, im new to rock fishing and want to know why you need gloves if you are lure fishing?
The gloves reduces the cuts you get from the Braid rubbing on you hands when you cast bigger lures all day. Good luck on the rock fishing mate 👍🏼
