Underworld?
Be svendsen man oto remix🙈😊
Wait a sec , What he did to im good ? He didn’t change a note on it . That’s straight rip from Eiffel 65 , David Guetta sucks , If there is a good producer outthere that’s Armin .
Don´t know if you ever read this Will, but your Tips helped me alot. I´m producing for over 20 Years now with FLStudio, but my music sounded amateurish. I ever wondered why, because in my eyes i did nothing wrong, i thinked that it must have something to do with my DAW, but after watching almost every video from you, my music evolved other 1000 % even with FLStudio. Now i´m almost on par with many producers and know how to make professional music. Thank you for that. Every Video from you is a goldmine. No Bullshit, only knowledge. Please make more of these awesome videos and help many others to become better.
Thank you so much, Oliver, for the kind words of support! I am stoked my videos have helped you so far and I will continue creating these as I enjoy sharing the knowledge and see my students improve 🙏🏻
You and Seed to Stage are tied for my favourite Ableton instructors. Your videos are so informative and efficient, thank you so much
Thank you so much, Michael, I really appreciate the kind words of support! 🙂🙌🏻
Thank you for doing this! Music doesn't have to be complicated to be enjoyed. :)
My pleasure! I am glad you enjoyed it 🙂🙌🏻
Very interesting video, thank you, Will!!!
No matter how you slice it, the guy does what he does very well.
Totally agree! Thanks for watching and supporting the channel 🙂🙌🏻
Will dude, I cannot thank you enough. Great point about ignoring the music snobs and to just make music you like. Many thanks for all your hard work.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate the kind words of support!
That Trance Synth it gives such a nice HIGHER vibe, a lot of emotion 🔥🔥 thanks to show it!
You’re welcome, Alex, glad you liked it! 🙂🙌🏻
Really love the video! So much clarity and depth in Your advice (like in a really good mix :-)). And as a keen participant of Your Music Production Accelerator it feels as if You made the video just for me. I will feed Your advice back into the work on my track and You will hear the results next week...
Thank you! Really glad you enjoyed it :)
Awesome video simplifying the complexities of the craft. A true pro at work!! I am inspired to get in the DAW and practice now.
Stoked to hear that, Matthew, let's go! 🙌🏻
Love all your videos, but this one was particularly great. Keep up the good work. 👍
Cheers, I am really glad you liked it!
"Guetta room" good one haha. great vid.

this is so cool you need to make more such breakdown videos we get to learn a lot on these breakdowns thanks a ton bruh😎🤟
Cheers! I have plenty and there is more to come!
Thanks for watching and supporting the channel 🙂🙌🏻
Hey Will, Thanks for sharing the reversed clap tip/trick. Super helpful way of adding that extra layer of dynamics.
You're welcome, glad you found it helpful! 🙂
Thanks for watching and supporting the channel 🙏🏻
It's quite funny, at the start of covid I believe Guetta touched the DAW for the first time himself, it was cool to see him experiment. He has a really good taste in music, and knows what ghost producers to get to produce for him. That's how he's gotten so big as he has been.
I don't think he is using ghost producers, maybe he is not uploading that many videos of how he is making his tracks but this could be just because he don't want or have the time to do it.
@@itsemily0010 he definitely has been using ghost producers for a long time. It's definitely his vision, just not his production. And there's no shame to that!
I doubt that, maybe he has sound engineers that create sounds for him sure but I garentee he does all the producing/composition and most of the mixing and will probably have some mix and master it professionally
@@thebreifcaseman269 if you saw the first videos during covid he genuinely didn't know what he was doing and it sounded like some of my first tunes. Which is fine it's dope, but he isn't the producer of most of his old songs, just the face behind it
Why do people assume that anyone who’s good has a ghost producer? Or this isn’t there own work. 🤦🏻♂️
One of the best videos from you. Thanks a lot.
You're weclome, I am glad you liked it! 🙌🏻
As always thanks for what u do! Awesome teacher! Awesome channel !
MY pleasure! 🙌🙏Thanks for watching and supporting 🙂

Hi Will @EDMTips, thanks for this video, it's amazing as usual. i noticed that you are using the M1 on a mac. i also have the M1 but can't use it on my macbook since a reinstall. do you have any clue what the problem could be? i think it's because it's a 32bit plugin, but why does it work for you? any helping hint?
Very valuable thanks!
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching and supporting the channel 🙂🙌🏻
I really appreciate the great and informative videos you make, i am an up and coming producer and these tips and tricks help soo so much!❤ Thank you very much WIll, continue the great work!

Amazing video David Guetta is my favourite DJ since childhood. Plz keep making Vedios on other Artists too
Glad you liked it!
Thank you for watching and supporting the channel 🙂🙌🏻
Thank you for the amazing production techniques .Your videos are really good. BTW just to make you notice, is it me or anyone feels your voice is getting distorted on many parts of the video. It sounds harsh.
thanks for the video! you are doing an amazing job!
please tell me which laptop are you using?
I am surprised by such a low load on the processor! is it m2 or maybe new intel?
Thank you, I am glad you enjoyed it!
I am using an M1 for now, but I do have quite a bit of RAM 😎
This video wasn’t what I was looking for in regards to David Guetta but I stayed and watched and enjoyed the whole damn thing. 😂❤🎉
Thanks for watching till the end and supporting the channel 🙂🙌🏻🙏🏻
Great tutorial covering all elements of his productions,
What Guetta does works however many may dislike it
he has created his name as his product, if he was to release a remix of Mr blobbly or roland rat it would still be a hit.
Totally agree, Darren!
Thank you for watching and supporting the channel 🙂🙌🏻
Posh boy Will goes to town. Thnx for the video mate makes my friday. And nice to see some Guetta he's like a jingle machine for catchy tunes. Much like D'Agostino
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂🙌🏻
I like that description, I will keep in mind for my future videos 😁
@EDMTips Is it possible for you to make the midi files in your projects available for non-Ableton users?
Yes. When youre saving midi file it goes by .midi like .mp3, .jpg, exc.. so the midi file has nothing to do with abletone users only.
magic bro🔥🔥🔥
Thank you so much, Michael, I am glad you enjoyed it! 🙂🙌🏻
Thank you soo much!!🥰🥰💞💞
Brilliant!!!
Appreciate it! 🙂🙏🏻🙌🏻
This is also a great summarisation of some basic principles and to remember not always to complicate things too much. Sounds great! PS: You have an export of the song for Non-Ableton folks?
Indeed it is! Thank you, I am glad you like it
I only use Ableton at the moment, so alas no.
@@EDMTips PS: I meant export as in WAVE file for example :)
Great tutorial Will :) Thanks a lot Bro (y)

p.s. i looked at your accelerator, i was hoping for a course, not sure what the live calls etc are all about buy i'm ready to buy if there is a course here somewhere hidden behind the sales funnel.......... :P

Great track and great tutorial!!!! Did you have some coffee before making this Will? 😆
No, but I had two cups of delicious tea 😬👌🏻
I've seen the guy 'work' back stage, I'll tell you why he blew up, he is a constant networker, the guy does not stop working, ever. Very little time for play or any of that social selfie nonsense he is all business. Its a constant hustle hustle hustle. everyone he shakes hands with is an opportunity. When he ran the F**k me I'm famous nightclub he used that status to generate his network from everyone they booked and everyone passing though (and to influence his music clearly) He was probably sat on a thousand phone numbers within a few years.
And lets not forget , landing his track on that Citroen C4 ice-skating transformer advert certainly helped break him as a solo artist.
These are great insights, thank you for sharing! 🙌🏻
I like your tutorials a lot, thanks. What about some tutorial based on Underworld's music? 😎
Thank you so much, really appreciate the kind words of support!
What's your favourite track of his?
Great video. Well done. You should put that track out too!
Thank you, I am really glad you enjoyed it! Perhaps I ought to finish this one!
Thank you so much for this video... can you please do a video about fusing afro pop/amapiano with EDM or dance music in your own way? thanks
Great suggestion! I will add this to my list. Any particular artists or tracks in this genre you're digging at the moment?
Was so helpful !! Can you make more trance / hard trance tutorials from artists such as Cocooma for example :)
Thanks for the suggestion, I will add this to my list and let's see how many people will vote for it!
I love that vocal
Cheers! Glad you liked it 🙂🙌🏻
David Guetta blew up because a man named Joachim Garraud produced a record called "Love Is Gone" in 2006. The record below up and then it forced Garraud to continue writing more records for him. The rest of the story is history with a team of producers writing for the Guetta Brand.
Thanks for sharing! 🙌🏻
Yes, it's fully Joachim Garraud, there are videos around which show him and David working in his studio, David goes off touring and Joachim continues to bang out the tunes. Joachim Garraud is a genius. He has 891 credits on his Discogs.!
@@charlieclark138 gotta give Guetta his flowers there's a great video on YT of him making a track from scratch I didn't realize he has such serious chops in the DAW
Guetta was big name in house music years before Love is Gone...
I don't think hardly anyone goes big just because they are genius. There's simply so much saturation that it's pretty much random who makes the breakthrough and who not, and an average listener loves their music for completely different reasons than the artists themselves or anyone educated in the field.
Sure, some people are innovative and revolutionize genres and raise to popularity due to that, but still, often the guys who do that are not the ones who were the real pioneers. It's normal than when someone invents something new, they are left in the margin due to being too experimental. Some years later when the time is right, someone gets influenced by them and makes the breakthrough. This has happened in practically every genre from trance to hardcore and dubstep.
Becoming a top-10 artist requires always lots of luck, too, and being in the right place at the right time.
The final drop is cool, but I would have added a spectral waveform with fm or rm to it as 0 semitones and plus 19 to layer onto the sawtooth for extra grit/thickness. Still sounds great though! Bravo!!
Thank you, I am glad you liked it! 🙂🙌🏻
Best channel ❤
Thanks for the support, Henry, really appreciate it! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
not sure if u don't use it because u don't know or don't like it, but u could use Splice Bridge, with it u don't have to worry about the Key and the Bpm of the Vocal cause it warps it in realtime ( atleast it works for me to get a good vocal faster). Anyway thanks for the Vid, always learning something new !😃
I think I need that Korg M1 in my life, I struggle to get a nice piano sound with Live stock plugins.
It's an amazing synth. It was on offer recently, perhaps the sale is still on.

Thanks Charly! Your support is much appreciated :)
Personally not a big fan of his music in particular, but it's easy to see the brilliance of it.
I think the tips also apply in the ecosystems of other, smaller subgenres -- for example the most prolific Psy or Electroswing producers still got their success using similar strategies.

I would have more respect for Guetta if he didn't use the same guitar sample in all of his songs... (or that fake DJ phase he went through, that we won't talk about).
I mean he did introduce the guys from Daft Punk to each other, so we have to give him credit for that lol
Well that alone is a great contribution into music industry 😉
Sounds like I’m blue da ba de da ba D
I intended for it to 😎😉
I guess 0, because i was looking for technical stuff like the reverse clap. 😮
Thanks for the feedback! Check out my video on how to make future rave on technical tips like this one :)
I dislike that he touched Better Off Alone, What Is Love, and Blue.
I’m all for a good homage/remix/remaster, but in each case he just took a classic and made it trashy pop-dance.
I am sure there are some other people who think the same. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, and art is subjective but it clearly worked for him.
Dav8d Gettho reception to success
1. Do not write music. Ensure you remix all known, old hit, that did extremely well in its time.
2. Compress the sh*t out if it.
3. Throw some duplicated new and modern samples.
4. Make sure that your kick hits 3.8k for that slap on poor speakers.
5. Ensure that you book a popular at the time "soap" artist to get the max exposure.
There you go. You're welcome.
Thanks for summing up!
Most of his productions were made by Joachim Garraud.
Many others also
Most of his productions sound exactly the same.
Avicii too, I remember listening to the radio a lot of years ago and a song that sounded super Avicii was on it, at the end, the radio guy said new David Guetta song and I was like yeeeeah sure, looked for the credits and yeah Avicii did it
