    Submission is called the Suloev Stretch it's a hamstring stretch

    • @ZombieProofBJJ
      @ZombieProofBJJ  6 років тому +12

      RyFry yeah I figured it would get more recognition as a kneebar ... my student felt it in the hamstring and the groin lol

      Amar Suloev submited Paul Cahoon at 2002.

      RyFry it’s actually not a Suloev stretch it’s intended to be a kneebar. Zabits BJJ coach confirmed this on Instagram. Most people in MMA are flexible enough to take the stretch so the finish is actually a kneebar, but most regular people will tap to the stretch.

    Awesome stuff. Thanks for sharing.
    I was playing this in my head and thinking that a quarter Nelson from the back of the head would help to not slip over as well. Will have to play with in in training.

    It's not a kneebar it's called a soleov stretch

    • @ZombieProofBJJ
      @ZombieProofBJJ  6 років тому +3

      The Grappling Outlaw yeah I knew, but I assumed more people would have thought it was a kneebar while googling it so went with that instead of explaining the stretch ... beautifully savage

    • @legbiter1462
      @legbiter1462 5 років тому

      The Grappling Outlaw nope it’s a kneebar. Check Zabits BJJ coaches Instagram.

    I made a breakdown on my instagram right after the fights as I was teaching, as usual, yours was better :-)
    Aljemain Sterling must be so pissed that all the attention went to Zabit, as he pulled it off right before ha ha ha
    He even made a post about Zabit copying his homework

    • @ZombieProofBJJ
      @ZombieProofBJJ  6 років тому

      amiraminc tag me I would love to watch it, and you should definitely keep doing breakdowns even if I won this round 🤣🤣 ... you never know what little detail may have been missed but it will help us learn 🔥

    How does it compare to the other Kneebar that night? It was very similar. Either way, that was some disgusting BJJ.

    • @ZombieProofBJJ
      @ZombieProofBJJ  6 років тому +1

      Richard lancelot from what I seen very similar except Zabit had that one leg dug very deep in which made me want to do this one ... I’ll rewatch the other one

    • @timtaylor9590
      @timtaylor9590 6 років тому

      he had the guys leg more sideways and popped it out

    Can you get there from seated back control?

  • @hankdapper8239
    @hankdapper8239 6 років тому

    Zabit had the left arm trapped. wrist and angle side by side. I'm I the only one who thinks this is a important thing?

    • @ZombieProofBJJ
      @ZombieProofBJJ  6 років тому

      Hank Dapper no you’re not alone, we looked at that and concluded the guy was trying to strip the grip and got stuck but I may be wrong

  • @ThatSocratesguy
    @ThatSocratesguy 6 років тому

    But what if you're agile af and it doesn't even hurt lol?

    • @ZombieProofBJJ
      @ZombieProofBJJ  6 років тому +1

      Socrates use it as a setup for the next attack I suppose
