I grew up listening too and appreciating both the legends (born in 1980) and can honestly say that Kelly can sing the telephone directory and will still be able to nail it.
It's almost like she went through a divorce almost a year ago and it's almost like this is her goodbye strong to her ex-husband because the emotion that she has during the song and you'll see what I'm talking about in a minute
Her vibrato is always killer!!!! If you want vocals, not that she doesn't always give them to you. BUT.... her "I know you wont" Carrie Underwood cover is killer (VH1 unplugged version). You wont regret it, one of my top 3 favorite performances of her.

It was a HUGE risk to take by balancing the song between Dolly Parton’s original (since it was the CMA’s) and Whitney. Kelly nailed it, but it’s so hard when you first listen to it expecting something different. I loved going back and listening to it again without anticipating the classic Whitney runs and all that.

The audience is fellow County Music artists, singers, songwriters and musicians. Dolly wrote, "I Will Always Love You" and her famous "Jolene" on the same napkin in a 24 hour period.
