Surprised I’ve never seen this footage, still the greatest record to come out of the hardcore scene as far as I’m concerned, and the best live show as well. Great group of dudes, both Harley and John. Had a big impact on my life!
Thanks, the day it was posted was the day it was "let out..." I was warned that night by CrisW that if he saw it for sale at the bootleg stores in the village... he would sick the NYHC on me... LOL - I didn't let it out and thought 32 years was enough to finally see the brilliance and energy of the time...
@@JohnnyangelNIU that’s a tough one. Both are killer albums. I would give the nod to discharge though. It came out first, and obviously had influenced age of quarrel. I go back to that album more than i do quarrel
I saw them on this tour at City Gardens in Trenton when I was 17 I was against the stage I thought I was gonna be crushed to death. The place went bezerk
@@silverblack5475 Exodus doesn't have the breakdowns that they have, their breakdowns incited the pit, at shows like Exodus people moshed because they thought that is what they should be doing. Just my take, but hey, what the fuck do I know bro..

where are the black hoodies, the black thick framed glasses, the fitted Yankees hats? I don't even recognize this as a NY hardcore show if I don't see big obnoxious Xs on hands
I remember cro mags without jon played in the late 90's in sf. Harley could barely remember the lyrics he was so doped out. Ton of old heads wanted to smash him real bad over some shit he did that fucked a bunch of people over involving dope deals i think. He bitched out in the back and wouldn't face anyone. Had security protect him till everyone left after the show was over. Cro mags is nothing without jon.
I'm guessing Harley, he's in much better shape, a bit younger, and has more of a background in self-defense. Wattie has heart issues (God bless the guy he's had about 4 heart attacks) and should really be taking things a bit easier these days.
At their peaks i 'd give it to Harley just because of the Jiu Jitsu. Wattie was bad ass in his day. I saw him during a show in 1990 W/ Biohazard and type O Negative Fight 3 skindeads one on three and he layed ALL of them out. The bouncers dragged their unconcious asses outside. Hey Wattie gave them guys a warning to stop punching the peeps with Mohawks and spiked hair, they didn't listen and paid the price.

Man i wish there was bands with singers like jon these days. So much energetic charisma!
A legit frontman.
I was at this show, back in the day when thrash and hardcore bands were on the same bill , shit was crazy , lots of fights .
silver black yea i saw AF w slayer at the ritz in 86 was tons of fights
Is there really that much difference between thrash and hardcore? Sounds like splitting hairs. Like two factions of the same religion.
crushsatan yea true but it was more short hair vs long hair from 84-89 some ugly shit went down
Thrash+Hardcore=Crossover
More details plz like who played with who, craziest fights, ect
