- Movie Clip from 1986. One of the greatest band off the all hardcore scene. If you want to see more videos and news about Oi!, Punk and Ska go to: cropn1.blogspot.com/
I remeber skipping school that day also to to see this. It was the first time for me seeing the cromags live and it was awesome. Also, remember going into the men's room where the people filming were giving and offering everyone coming in there lit marijuana joints because it was footage they were using for the film. Have to see it was the fist and only harcore. show I ever went to where I recieved free food and pot.
You should all write a book. A collection of all you guys stories. I’m seriously fascinated. Please respond.
Almost 4 decades ago. I took the Metra North from New London, CT. I was 14!
Yup - the movie that they were filming was called "the Beat" and the Cro-mags were called "Iron Skulls"
My friend Jason (singer from Krakdown) was the one screaming "hard times" in the mic with Bloodclot - I remember that day like yesterday because I almost had my neck broken by a 300 pound stage diver...
Is it true that Peter Steele is in this scene briefly?
I was at this taping and it was @ the Roxy nyc, now webste hall... We showed up @ 8am, signed our releases and partied like rockstars...
You are a hero. Jealous. I was 6 years old.
It was at the Ritz.
@@misterslats Your right. Sorry. Been a lil to many burnt brain cells since then
Yes, that was at the Ritz. I remember skipping school that day to see filming of that. It was awesome.
Please respond to this.
Pete Steele at2:35. LOL
💚
i was there....
I was in the pit when someone steeped on my foot & twisted my ankle bad !!! Great band
The black and white footage is so cool it looks as though it was filmed in the 60's or 70's even though it was not. They say Rock and Roll in its purest form is supposed to be dangerous? Well try hard core Punk!
i will see Cro mags (jam) four times in November and im so stoked :D
i remember this movie, in the film they were called the skulls!
the beat - the conjurer 1987 John savage, William Mcnamara, got it filmed in 93, wow.
I saw the Mags around this time. City Gardens, NJ
Always tight and moved the room!
There is so much going on on stage, I'm surprised nobody stepped on the mics cable.
2:35... Young Peter Steele from Type O Negative in the pit protecting his girl.
Leaving the mosh pit noise in there was genius.
FUcking sweet! What a show that would have been
a great fucking movie!!!
"the beat, the beat, ba ba...the beat, the beat, ba ba..."
fuck yes!!!
two people were crippled for life during this...thats evil wicked, sad
i got scars and injuries that ill have forever from punk shows, still was the time of my life
HARD CORE!!!!!!!!!
i just saw them at this place at the bnb bowl, fucking amazing. john joseph still has the energy of what he had back in the day.
EVERYBODY is fucking WRECKING
I forgot where I heard, but I was told that's Pete Steele at 2:35 haha looks just like him
*****
yes you re right
+Jonas Eylenbosch that ain't him
@@bosxe that is him.
THAT'S FUCKING PETER OMFG.
@@Oi325Maybe I'm a year late to this, but I ended up back on this video and came across our comments. It's not, this was filmed in 1986 and you can see videos of Carnivore playing in 1984 where he has both tattoos on his arms (found a picture from Fallout playing in 1981 and he has them, but that date seems wrong imo). The guy in the video who looks a lot like him, doesn't have any tattoos visible. Also, Peter was 6'7 and would surely be towering over most people around him, but he's hardly any taller than the girl he's with in that clip. If you go to 1:24 in this video, that's the same guy who everyone thinks is Peter, but with the girl on his shoulders. From that angle, you can really tell it's not him. Please don't judge me for responding a literal year later.
thanks a lot
I was at this shoot...it took place at what used to be the Ritz and is now know as Webster Hall
Cro Mags and Bad Brains rule, I'm a fan of both..by the way, i ordered "New York Thrash" (ROIR) and don't forget another great NYHC legend, REAGAN YOUTH
Thanks camera guy! Put this on MTV2
@slantyrock
Peter Steele R.I.P.
Almost 4 decades ago. Fuck!

The Unholy powers of the Thom protected you!
The movie's called "The Beat"
@Misery1219 He's hunched over in the video, his face is the same, especially his unique ears and his nose is similar, maybe it isn't but it looks a lot like him.

this song is on GTA4! "i will see"
Where is Peter Steele? I keep watching I don’t see him. can anyone tell me what he’s wearing, what he’s doing, an exact time in the video where he appears or something?
@luiselmonster Aye, of course, another excellent band.
what's happening with the sound?
Hey tmolesky! I was there at the ritz when they were filming this too. After reading your blog, I now remeber vaguely when the cro mags all of a sudden stopped playing, the mosh pit opened up much bigger ver quicly, and there was a guy laid out on the floor unable to move. Then Harley yelling into the mic that some guy just brike is fucking neck and telling everyone to be more careful. So, was that guy you?
That's Doug Holland
elyurita:

заебись)
@slantyrock No it isn't. Peter Steele is like. HUGE.
He was when he formed type o negative. Before he was super skinny.
@carthagevisors How would you think i'm a goth lol.
I think the guy at 1:48 isn't feeling so good.
this film was anything but professional
