I would love to see a video about how you make notes! I'm due to start university in September (England) studying Forensic Science and Criminal Investigation and I think it would be really helpful!
Hi, Tulla. I feel so sorry for what you had to go through during COVID. You were robbed. I'm a Stanford alum from an earlier era and loved my time there. I lived in Roble my sophomore year and had an absolute blast. The dorm was so full of life when I was there. It's awful what Stanford put you through with its neurotic and dubious COVID precautions. I hope you were able to make up for some lost time during your junior and senior years. After you graduate, do try to take advantage of Stanford's awesome alumni association. It can become one of the best aspects of your Stanford experience.
I may have a useful tip. A former girlfriend of mine who graduated first in her law school class with the highest grades ever had a useful skill. She taught herself shorthand in high school. It not only helped in school, it also helped her work as a lawyer. She could write down verbatim everything people said.
i think a good rule of thumb is that making friends and getting settled first quarter is about equal to 3 units. a typical quarter is 15-18 units, so freshman fall i would recommend 12-15!
Can you tell us about math 51 how it went I am really scared to take lol, is there anything you recommend and how difficult it was, and how we should prepare? Thanks!
math 51 is definitely one of the tougher classes in the math department. it’s toughest in fall quarter, usually the curve is lower than winter and spring 51. i’d recommend taking it alongside an easier overall courseload (maybe no more than 15-16 total units?). it’s doable for sure tho, just expect to dedicate a lot of time to it. also expect to spend a lot of time on matrices and vectors. hope this helps!!
It's so nice to hear someone else that started in 2020 who has the same feelings. I too missed out on so much and did not make any friends my freshman year. There was no orientation and even my sophomore year not as it wa suposed to. I tried to participate in the freshman orientation in my sophomore year, but even then thing weren't back to normal. Now, finally, in my junior year I have a normal college experience and attended my first christmas party (which is a big deal at my school). I mentored in the freshman orientation, got drunk 😅 and really experienced everything for the first time. I already know I'm taking a year longer to graduate, but thats okay cause I missed out om so much❤
Hi. Did you take online placement exams online or at Stanford? If you took AP math and AP English those transferred from High School. It appears you took five remedial level courses this year. Those you will not get credit for. Did you see an academic advisor? They will share that any course above 100 is college-university level.
Hey my GPA is 2.0 so can you help me to know really I'm eligible to apply to Ivy League schools or not? I'm from India. I'll apply As a Int. Freshman student.

Hi! I’m currently planning out my classes and I was wondering how many units you recommend one takes during their first quarter at Stanford?

It would be nice if at some point in the future you make a video with your friends from your early videos.

Hahaha great content as always.
P.s When's your livestream? Pls keep it at a time when viewers from Pakistan can participate 🙏🤞
How did you fulfill your language requirement? I know that Stanford requires 1 yr of foreign language or placing out.
This is such a strange comment, but I love the way her mouth moves when she talks. Maybe it's because she has such nice teeth
Her teeth are perfect.
i would be happy if u make a video on how you take notes
Let’s just appreciate her glow up, I mean she was gorgeous before, but she really glowed up
What’s your major and minor. Also if you want to have a career in finance than what classes should I take in highschool
all hail queen tulla bee
