I agree with Sree Kumar. That 180° bend on the spring is the "handle" so you can slide it out from under the latch on the bulb. It will then hinge out of the way. The screw you removed holds down the hinge. Also, the light you changed will probably fail again soon because you have a moisture issue on that side. You can see the passenger side headlight housing is foggy on the inside, while the driver's side is nice and clear(dry).

Actually it was not necessary to release the spring holding screw. Apart from that all seems to be good. But remember it’d be wise to replace both the Halogens together. Cheers.

Try a 5/16 or 8mm 1/4" drive socket with a 6" extension to turn the lever 1/4 turn, it is much easier than trying to dig it out with flat blade or use a phillips screwdriver as you suggested.

Try to put different fuse for headlights, it is located in the panel at the left side of staring weal. Cheers

@@gav696 no. no. no. if the fuse is not failing, why change it???? You clearly know nothing about cars...or electricity!

      1. Buy quality bulbs.
      2. Check for moisture in the housing. If there is moisture inside, then find out how it is getting in and fix that. Cracked housing? Bad seal on the cap at 5:47? Try to dry out the moisture before reassembly. That moisture can get on the bulb and cause issues.
      3. Don't touch the bulb during installation.
A note on moisture. At 5:33, this video shows a dry, clear headlight housing on the driver's side, while the passenger side has a foggy housing. The moisture inside is probably what caused premature failure of the passenger side bulb in the first place. He will probably be in the same boat as you are in 6 months.
Don't unscrew the clip like the guy in the video does. The clip slides out from under a latch and hinges out of the way.
Fuses are a specific size for a reason. Never swap with a different size. If the fuse has never been changed, and it isn't blown, then don't change it as Andrew suggests in his comment. That's just stupid...
