All I got is a 1963 Admiral Stereo AM-FM / Phono console with a whopping 6 watts of tube power. I rehabbed this unit and when you crank it they can hear it down the street. Recapped, retubed, cleaned the mechanicals and waxed the wood.

The reel to reel I purchased from a estate sale. I had to clean up the dirt, replace the belts, lube, and make wood sides for it. Just for a tip. If you don't have a saw and need a piece of wood cut. They will do it for you at Home Depot or Lowes.

addendum: Phase Linear made a power amp, Phase Linear 700, that delivered 350 watts into 8 ohms, I once owned (in my youth) a Phase Linear 400 ( a power beast in it's own right, driving 4 of the original Large Advents, using a nakamichi 410 preamp and a Technics SL 1600 DD turntable. The Large Advents could be played VERY loud, but were very power hungry, but were a rock music fans' nirvana.

A friend of mine has that same Marantz 250M and Model 7 preamp. That is something I'd like to get some day. I'd pair it with the LaScalas at the beginning of the video, and happily spend all day irritating the neighbors.
I moved a couple years ago, and ended up clearing out most of my vintage equipment, but I kept two. A NAD 3020 amp and my Yamaha CR-1040 receiver.

Growing up I always loved the sound and look of Pioneer receivers. I remember looking at them at the Navy Exchange when I was a poor teenager. I could only afford one of those Panasonic 3 in one units. And I loved it for a couple of years until I splurged on a HK 330i, which still works as I gave it to my niece.
Eventually, while not really shopping or looking around I found a Pioneer SX 780 in great cosmetic condition with original box. So I just had to get it. And at $500 shipping included, not too bad but a price. Plus sounds so fantastic.
    I love it.
    Really enjoy your channel btw.

OMG what a great collection...I thought I had a lot of stuff...my collection pales in comparison! Boy since I do all my own repairs and restorations I don't think I would ever get through all your stuff in a lifetime! Now back in the day I was a frequent customer of Pacific Stereo where I purchased my first system from. And yes Quadraflex was their middle of the line store brand but I never remember Project One being sold there, at least the stores in SF Bay area. Concept was their TOLT store brand and TransAudio was their entry level brand!

I have a fully working 9191 that I bought a few years ago at one of my favorite record shops. Complete with the restoration notes. It has the wood cabinet, but those Spec handles do look awesome. It’s maybe the best sounding cassette deck I’ve ever heard. And certainly a stunning looking component.

Awesome collection.... I'm very envious of all the beautiful vintage receivers those were certainly the golden era of audio asthetics in my humble opinion. One little bug bear on my part, why do Americans always pronounce Technics as Techniques, it's actually pronounced Tek-niks. I presume it comes from the DJ world to make them seem something exotic sounding.

Really impressive collection from a guy that knows a lot! Bringing that 250M back to life was great, as well as its sibling that is ready to get brand new meter dials! Keep up the great work, Nick!

I'm 61 and you've inspired me to drag out my stuff dust it off and as I watch you I'm busy assembling the various components'.
Problem is that I'm not so electronics savvy , I'm trying to figure out how to connect a 25 year old amplifier to my computer.
I run everything through a computer and a laptop and monitors now because I don't watch TV or or movies anymore.

You ignored the Dynaco FM-3 stereo tuner and Dynaco PAT-4 preamplifier in the first sequence. This is a very good collection of vintage stereo.
Most of the components in that room will perform as well or better than anything available today.

FYI: The PL-550 and 570 turntables were stable 33 1/3 RPM within the 1st revolution. No other table that I know of can do that. Pretty handy when recording from vinyl.

Great video clip, love the vintage gear. Nick, has some of the nicest equipment & signage. Thanks Lenny for doing an amazing job of bringing all the memories forward. The Sansui 9090 & Pioneer CT 9191 are at the top of my wish list. Lost out to the 9090 several years ago & past up the Pioneer CT 9191 new at Stereo Discounters for a Technics RS 631, same price with the Pioneer on clearance.. I have regretted that decision since 1976. I still have the Technics though. My cousin had a 9191, I don't know what ever happened to it. I have some of the equipment featured but not nearly the collection. A wife thing, I'm sure most of you get it. The one component I value most are two hand knitted turntable covers my grandmother made for me. As a kid I didn't like dirt, finger prints & above all scratches on my turntable lids. They are a work of art. Both are about 45 years old. Kudos to you Nick, keep it up, much luck with all your endeavors & thank you Lenny. > Joe
