Why do I get the feeling that all of this happened because someone realized that they had the perfect cupboard under the stairs and it just kind of snowballed from there. 😂 Edit: I love that the comments on this has become a discussion of architecture in different locations. Truly top tier.
If you need confirmation on how close this is to the original, I was watching this in my computer room and my gf came in and asked why I was watching Harry Potter again after watching it last night.
This is what me and my friends were filming 20 years ago, but we were only 3 actors. We also remade the whole movie with our own twists of humour, but infortunately the movie files are lost to time... The friends back then are living now across the globe, but i will show them this to remember the good old times, when we were filming our own Harry Potter movie. Thank you so much for your take!
What the flying fuck. Did I do. To deserve something made with such clear dedication and love for the source material. Thanks algorithm! The description warms my heart. Job well done, here's to this blowing up in views and me inevitably quoting entire scenes verbatim!

I can’t tell what’s more insane: that they made this, that I watched all of it in one sitting, or that it’s actually good. This was one fever dream I didn’t want to wake up from.

As a filmmaker and Harry Potter fan, I just have to say this is absolutely fantastic. The script modifications are witty and add so much subtle, yet hilarious moments- especially for those who know the original movie word by word. Now, the special effects are in a world of their own. The amount of time to plan, film, and track & composite these shots is not a quick and easy task, let alone in a shot-for-shot remake. Equally as good of a soundtrack to go with it ties it together nicely. This is absolutely OUTSTANDING work and I enjoyed every second of watching it. Kudos to you guys!

anyone who says "I'm mature now therefore I can't do that" is not mature to understand that it does not matter

What do you mean? isn't this the original
Unironically a great remake. The fact this was all done by a group of 12 students is insane. Mad respect for remaking of the sound track BY EAR, the sound effects and getting every frame right. Also a really creative use of models and green screens, great line delivery and funny jokes and references throughout. You can tell how much effort and fun has gone into this project, really hope you guys will do another movie sometime!

6. the casting of neville
7. the moving paintings
8. sock puppets

If you need confirmation on how close this is to the original, I was watching this in my computer room and my gf came in and asked why I was watching Harry Potter again after watching it last night.
There should be a new trend where u show people who never watched Harry Potter this version
My girlfriend was upstairs and came down to tell me she thought the neighbors were watching Harry Potter 😂

Truly. Totally agree. This is SOLID GOLD… and the tiny tweaks in the lines are so damn good! This is absolutely incredible work, and it’s not like I’d have searched ‘full length fully-Macgyvered scene by scene first Harry Potter movie remake with with spot-on camera angles,’ so it definitely found me! 😂
I clicked this with the intention of watching for 10 minutes, still sat here 2.5 hours later, time well spent.
Me too ngl.
Yup second time through.

oh snap! Props to them for making the runtime exactly the same as the original!
This is the kind of comment I'm looking for when I hit the comments .2 seconds into a video. Thanks 😊
I can’t tell what’s more insane: that they made this, that I watched all of it in one sitting, or that it’s actually good. This was one fever dream I didn’t want to wake up from.

That's kind of how Harry Potter with guns went. I downloaded it to watch the first ten minutes. Then it was 2am and id finished it.
