I've been killed by a kolibri more times then I've been killed by a peiper
I've killed 3 people with the Kolibri, 0 with the Pieper.
I can't think of a name I haven't even used or seen its reload animation until now.

You could use this in a pre alpha dev build but they changed it out for the cavalry just having the Winchester 1895 rifle
Why cant we have FIVE classes. Instead of you know, getting in to a tank/plane and "Oh yay! I got the gun, time to get some kills" then you get shot down by a Hellriegel or sniper. Then you gotta wait another 50 games

They should let us use the pilot/tanker weapons on the main classes. That would give us more variety of weapons and aince they rarely get used and it's kinda of a waste.
Agreed - I'd love to level up my tanker/pilot/cavalry classes without having to sit at the spawn screen for 10+ minutes in the hopes of having one of those spots open up

I like it and it's my favorite pilot/tanker gun but I don't play pilot/tanker on foot very often at all so I obviously can't use it much

They should just let the tanker/pilot class weapons be in all classes. All of those M1911 fanboys could use the M1911 Extended with the M1911 as a secondary, plus the Pieper might be used more often.
You can already use both M1911s if you play as a tanker/pilot
The G18, you know what firearm mean, and the double barrel shotgun for all classes would turn the meta on it's head. Can you imagine everyone with a (more or less) automatico or shotgun?

Why can't we have the carbines for normal classes? It would be monumental to go ham with the mle extended while using the standard mle as a secondary

Mauser had 2 variants of this rifle the carbine was used for aircraft by the Swedish... but by the looks of it i think the m1916 in the game is the carbine variant. a source for the weapons in game.(forgotten weapons) explains all the guns in have and more. edit:, i think the carbine had a shorter barrel......

Actually it is the carbine version of the gun. We have a maghold with a kind of foregrip and a very "exposed" barrel. The M1916 rifle did'nt have a "forgrip" had a longer barrel and more wood around it. So the M1916 is in fact an M1916 carbine.

I always figured they could break some of the classes and add an engineering class, it would feature the primary weapons of the pilot/tanker, but instead, be focused on vehicle support and etc. He could repair faster, safely detonate enemy explosives, and sabotage enemy vehicles.

Aedan Cushman-Reynolds although I know that we all want engineer to come back, it probably won't happen in BF1. Imagine a driver/pilot, who can self-repair the vehicle and engineer, purposed solely for repairing vehicles? As u can see, it's pretty OP....
I just realized that the Nagant-style gas seal solved one of the biggest problems with revolving carbines: the gas that escapes the cylinder gap can burn the hell out of the lead arm of the operator. This is the main reason revolving long guns never became prominent. Super cool gun.
Probably one of the coolest revolving carbines out there, though the Perrin and the Javelle carbine are really neat too
I feel like dice should have some other revolver type rifle available for the medic...i love usin this gun but i hate bailin out on my airplane just to use it
The most unique weapons only are usable when u spawn in a vehicle then ditch it. I'd love to use this gun as my primary always

And they are allowed a choice of either anti tank grenades / dynamite or repair tool / spotting flare
Elite Gshaw I've always said that there should be a 5th officer class, with access to all the pistols for their secondaries and pilot/tanker carbines for their primary.

The sawed off shotty can fire both barrels at once and the frommer stop is pretty excellent at close range... with that in mind the pieper doesnt get the attention it deserves. Also since actually getting a vehicle is sometimes hard theres often not much time to swap to the loadout u want, and u get stuck with whatever u used last.
This is my go-to pilot gun. Glad to see I'm not the only one who appriciates it.
"Rare and valuable to weapons collectors" ...Ya you got that right! Ive never seen one of these for sale EVER in my years of firearm collecting, and I feel like ive seen everything from wacky to rare for sale over the years... I have no doubt its ridiculously expensive IF you find one.
Other fun thing: we don't have skins for those pilot/driver classes lol.
When you think about it, this was pretty much the ONLY way a Revolver rifle could work. The issue that always plagued all the other revolver rifle designs, was the fact that, like all rifles, the most natural way to hold them is with one hand gripping forward under the barrel, and your arm parallel to the barrel and action, and the other hand wrapped around the base of the stock and the trigger. On most rifles, that's not a problem, but revolvers have that darn cylinder gap, where a "blade" of the rapidly expanding gasses will blast out with every shot to either side, shredding or at least horribly burning anything in its path, in the case of the rifles, your arm that's holding up the front of the barrel. But with the gas-seal system, all those gases are safely contained and end up escaping out the end of the barrel with the bullet, instead of into your flesh.

Thanks for these reviews Kris. They really help. I appreciate it. By the way, I just wanted to tell you that I noticed you forgot to review the rank ten pilot and tanker weapons. The rank ten tanker weapon is the sawed off shotgun which is also equipped with the tank hunter kit. Also the M1911 Extended Which is the rank ten pilot weapon. If you haven't reached rank 10 in these classes yet then I totally understand that. If you forgot, then I respect that too. If you haven't got to them yet, I will be patient. Please review them soon because I need proper reviews for these weapons and I know I can trust you the most with this. Thank you so much for the help. Your channel is great.

I love the pilot and tanker classes so much! The Pieper has been my fave since the gun came out. A lot of people don't know how much fun it can be to play as these classes though :/

I find it rather unnimersive that all nation's cavalry classes use the same 1895 Rifle. It makes sense that the Russians would use it, but the British should use a short barreled martini or some sort of enfield variant, Italians should use the Carcano carbine or vetterli carbine, Germans use gewehr 77 carbine, etc

It also can be on support. If you don't want to get a vehicle but this gun, use it with support
Don't know if I've missed a video, but would be great to see the m1911 extended and the c93 carbines as well D: wish they were spread across the other kits though / make an "engineer" class that is a tanker or pilot loadout without needing to start off in a vehicle !

YourFriendlyKiller When it comes to majority of the weapons, I don't think DICE would purposely not do research for the weapons they implement in their games, even if they are meant as a troll/joke, such as the Kolibri for instance.
YourFriendlyKiller the Kolibri is an actual gun and was made by a Australian watch maker as a proper side arm for officers during ww1 it was meant to be a concealed weapon

The thinking for giving the rurales a gun that takes a special cartridge may have been to make them less desirable to bandits. But that sword swings both ways
I can't imagine how "balling out of control" would it be to use this thing with the cavalry unit on foot.

I forget the special classes have unique weapons! I have actually never used it and I have unlocked pretty much all other weapons. They should really add these to regular classes.

I almost always run with the model 10-a hunter for close quarters or the model 10-a slug for close to medium range and I sometimes run with sniper
I love the video except for the fact that on pc I found you bcc an spam the trigger you can bring the rpm up quite considerably

reason for the gas seal is ... a regular revolver has a cylinder gap that would tear your fingers off should you place them there... since the off hand is held ... at the front of the rifle ... next to the gap... they needed a solution.
that's why the original revolver rifles werent very popular in the wild west days.

But my favorite weapons for scout are martini Henry Russian 1885 and peeper I normally run with them as infantry and sometimes sniper
this gun can be quite fun to use yea uts damage output is meh as well as holding 9 bullets but it has Fantastic control

All the Tanker/Pilot weapons should be avaible to the Assault (not to the others because it doesn't fit them. A class should still have it's strength and weaknesses. I don't want a Medic with a Frommer Stop Auto). I would love to Play with the Pieper or C93 Carbine more

in the "customize soldier" tab on the menu. you'll want to click over to pilot and tanker classes and should be able to buy all the guns n shit with warbonds. then when you spawn as pilot or tanker in game you have the guns and shit you equipped.

Also, if you go to Soldier on the main menu when you start up the game, you can go to weapons and gadgets option and buy all the weapons to all the classes ( Obviously most of the elite classes you can't choose the specific weapons in-game )

Revolver rifles are not a good idea. For the record, when you shoot these devises hot gases are propelled foward and sideways. Manufacturers had to design prior guns to be held not on the wooden stalk, for your 2ndary hand, but on a added grip below the trigger. It was the only way to avoid the gases.
yeah but this gun has a gas seal, so it should neutralize the problem.

This revolving carbine was used by the Mexican Continental Army back in the past. Why waste time trying to bolt a new round in when you can use double action and dump 9 rounds down range rapidly.

I miss BF1...BFV kinda killed my love for the series. But anyways, this gun is really cool but I wish it had a 2 shot kill at close, like the other revolvers.
I know I'm 3 years late but I stg if the Pieper didn't have its speed loader to reload, it would be one of the worst guns in the support class. I mean, compared to the new Huot, Parabellum, Bar, etc... I don't think I've seen anyone actually use this weapon in a game which is a shame because it looks like a revolver with a long snoot.
