And… I broke the window. I think I got the wrong year cal look rubber. My window didn’t fit anywhere close to the way yours did. It was maybe a inch above the top.
i always used rope that was a little bit thicker .plastic covered nylon cloths line was the best and a good squirt of dish soap a mate to help makes life easy!!

When you did the rear window did you wrap the line around twice? Looked like that. Getting ready to put mine in my 1970 bug. Wish I had seen your headliner video before I did mine. Great videos. Thanks
Christian J. Streck yes, the string I used was a little small for the job but it made it possible to wrap it twice just in case I needed a second try, which I did end up needing at times. Good luck. It’s much easier with two people.

That car has a different dashboard then I remember on my 1969 Beetle. Is that a Mexican production Beetle or was it customized by a previous owner?

Thanks for the video! I've got a '73 super beetle with the huge curved windshield, so I'm kind of anxious for when we put that in! Anyway, what was that green tape for? Is it just to hold in the trim?
Yes the tape was just to hold in the trim

I have a 70 beetle and have the factory headliner with Merle clips holding the headliner, I installed the seal over these metal clips, and one year later the German seal is pulling off the clips and giving me a slow drip, this video is very helpful first one I’ve seen like this. I beleive back in the day the seals where larger at the business end of things, and would cover these clips in years past.
Update, I removed the metal clips and the seal was much better, I believe the purpose of the clips is to retain the windsheild though
