I am a Travel Consultant with over 20 years of experience in group travel and land packages etc. After several requests I started doing Travel Vlogs in late 2018 and more actively Aruba Walks & Vlogs in 2020.
Hy Hyro.
Nice and educational video. I loved your new approach about Aruba. It's always great to have access to videos like this that show us the updates that are happening out there. Thanks for updating us.
Take care my friend
Thank you Sergio!
Just breaks my heart.....all too much
I understand, thank you for your concern.
Thank you for your update. We’re going to the new Iberostar and June and we really really appreciate this. Never been to Aruba so we’re following the progress. Thanks so much for doing this for us.
Glad to help! 🏝️☀️
I appreciate the update Hyro. I have one more chance to enjoy Rodgers and Baby beach before the area is too crowded. I would love to say more..but I won't. Thanks!
Yes, the improvements might make Rodgers beach busier than what usually is. We won't know the full effect until the new resort is open. We were at Baby beach yesterday and it was not as busy, quite pleasant actually.
I love your videos with updates on resort construction. Happy hour deals could be good to see too
Thanks for the suggestion! Happy hour deals are always a good idea.
This growth of resorts is troubling! Too much! And it has to have an impact on the ecosystem.
I understand your concern. Let's hope the impact is as minimal as possible.
Sorry to say you are being very diplomatic Hyro but it will have a huge impact. The infrastructure on the island can’t cope with more people living in the island. Where are they going to come from( the workers I mean) . You mentioned that Aruba does not have enough workers as it is.😢😢😢
Great drone footage Hyro all though some of these projects are beautiful and controversial it will bring more attention to the infrastructure that is needed but also generate more revenue hopefully the government will make the developers pay for it . I also hope that this doesn’t destroy the beautiful beaches of this Happy island 🏝️🦎🌺
Let's hope so🙏🏼Cheers☀️🏝️
I agree with you, but this many more hotel rooms equals many many more people that cannot help with the overall ambience that was once Aruba
will be there on monday ♥️♥️♥️hope will get some sunny days
Enjoy your trip!
I know it's great for Aruba's economy but baby beach will never be the same thanks for the updates Hyro
I understand your concern😊Let's hope for the best.
I love Aruba and have since the late 1960s but I’ll tell you this the airport and the waiting times are not too good right now on most days when these resorts open I really don’t even wanna think about it but on top of that a lot more tourist and a lot less serenity
I understand your concern. The airport has also done some expansion and changes that should help a bit.
Thanks Hyro, Just got home from Aruba last week and staying at the Hilton was very interesting with my project few room.
I stayed in the same room you did ,after watching your video a few years ago and after all the construction is down it will
be really nice improvement. But I agree that enough is enough with the Aruba hotel expansion projects. Hope to see you in January
on the beach near the Marriott surf club. Be well🙂
Good to hear you had a nice experience despite the construction & hope to see you too in January, cheers.
Excellent job !!, drone footage is awesome. Just what I was looking for, especially the update on the road at palm beach. 36 days to go, can't wait to be in paradise. Tell Marleene to get her jewelry collection ready. Will see you guys soon.
Hey my friend, yes I thought of you when making this video because I know you are familiar with this area. Marleen says hello🏝️☀️we look forward to seeing you.
I’m curious and excited to see the enhancements at Rodgers Beach. It’s my favorite beach on the island and planning to return in late March 2025. Great video as always, keep up the great work!
We are too😊 Great to hear about your upcoming trip! Cheers☀️🏝️
Super informative video, Hyro. I really appreciate the drone views. So glad to see the St Regis is finally nearing completion. Hopefully, the sidewalk will connect seamlessly along the beach when theyre done. I will be there in less than two months and walk that sidewalk every day from the Playa Linda to the Alhambra area.
Gladly helped with the update. I do believe the sidewalk will pass by the St.Regis.
@@LetsgowithHyro Do you think they will ever extend the sidewalk past the Holiday Inn so you can walk all the way to the Ritz without having to walk in the sand in the middle part?
Nice video! I visited Aruba in August and saw all the construction. Can’t wait to go back and see the finished product. I went to the area where they’re building the new Secrets. Very nice area but it’s a very long drive from the airport.
Thanks😊It is indeed on the other side of the island.
WOW, we will be back in November 2025 VIA cruise ship and that visit we will make the trip to baby beach. Those resorts are huge. I volunteer to come work in Aruba 😉
Great choice to visit the Baby Beach, enjoy your trip!
All these new hotels going up and still no sewage treatment plant...
You have a great point.
I saw the sewage treatment plant when I was there in 2023.
Thank you sir great job ,i knew this one would bring out the bees ,,,
Glad to help, you made me 😂😝
Great video. Thank you for the update.
Thanks for watching!
Is the property beachfront or do we have walk across street n down hill
I assume you mean the Secrets resort? I am not sure how the guests will get to the beach but there is a street in between. The Iberostar also has a street you'll need to cross but the St. Regis is on the beach side.
Great footage Great Video Hyro!
Many thanks!
Love the Iberostar , chain , been to the one , in Cancun,Jamaica and Punta Cana ,can’t wait to book that one
Great, let us know🏝️☀️
Thanks. Very nicely done.
Thank you too👍🏼
Hello from USA, wow this is great. Do you speak Papamiento?
Hi there, yes I do!
Hyro, good afternoon, I'm from Peru and I'll be visiting Aruba in December. May I ask a question? Is Aruba really that strict with the use of Drones? I have a DJI mini 3, less than 250 grams, but from what I've read it seems that I can't use it there. I don't have a pilot's license, I only use the drone for some tourist shots.
Hey Rafael, you should have no problems if you always fly with safety first in mind and avoid restricted areas.
Es ist einfach nur traurig was da abläuft vorallem für die Arubaner😢
Thank you for your concern☺️🏝️☀️
I’m hoping the Iberostar will have enough palapas for their guests. We rent at Oasis and it can be hard to get one in front of MVC even in the off season. There’s certainly enough room to add more, and some washrooms would be a welcome addition too.
Let's hope so. I have no additional info on that at this time.
Might be time to start going to Curaçao.
Maybe.
@@LetsgowithHyro And I truly mean no disrespect to Aruba. I love Aruba dearly. And the people. The world just keeps changing, no? 💙🩵🤍
@@MimiT1961the hotel is for the people that live on that side of the island who are looking for a job.
Does anybody know if it’s gonna be all inclusive resort
The Secrets will be.
@@LetsgowithHyro thank you , so secrets will be , just booked today the Riu palace January 12-26 any news when the secrets resort will be opening?thanks in advance
Dank voor de video. Het gaat mij wel aan het hart al die megalomane toeristenoorden die er maar blijven komen.
Idd😮☀️🏝️
I'm from Aruba, j thought those building was establi a mall, didn't not know it was a a hotel 😮😅
Yeah, a hotel😊
Aruba has always controlled there economy very well, where are all these workers from. I hope they are mostly Arubans. I hope the greed seen in other countrys changeing to a tourist economy doesnt hurt Arubans. When the refinery left in the 60-70s. I worried about the citizens. TY Hyro, nice camera work.
Thank you also🙂
That is a great video!!! We were in Aruba last June and saw these projects and can’t wait for them to be built!! Thanks Hyro!!!
Hope you enjoy it!
@@LetsgowithHyro Always do brother Hyro.
Hi Hyro I'm very thanks to your aruba news, If you dont mind can you show me the Carribean Town Eagle Beach Thanks
Glad to help.
This is ALL very sad to me!🥺
My 1st time in Aruba had only 6-7 hotels and was very affordable, this is no more!
Heartbreaking & shameful that Aruba is losing its natural beauty just for the $ aspect!!
Hopefully the island will still be able to retain its charm despite the changes☺️
Oh my goodness , this is my island, ( I know I don’t live there anymore) . I know I won’t be popular with most people, especially with locals, but this is just too much. I have read lots of tourists say on different websites that it’s too much building and they do not want to go there anymore. My biggest fear. You are being very diplomatic Hyro. I know you have to but this is too much! Especially the all inclusive by baby beach! Dreadful!! Mi pober Isla! 😩😩😩😢😢
Agreed. Baby Beach is a unique gem, and now it's going to be so crowded.
@@anthonymorris5084 like me, you can imagine it. It’s going to be like another palm beach. Not good at all, it’s so much smaller than Palm beach. I’m heartbroken for my island! 😩😩
Hey, yes it is almost scary to think we'll have 3 new and large resorts open in the next few months. Only time will tell what effect it will have on everything. There still times of the year that the island feels much less busier, like for example we were at the Baby beach yesterday and it wasn't as crowded.
There will be to lots of peoples at Eagle beach!
There usually is.
Great video Hyro! Construction updates every so often is welcome. We went to the Rum Reef bar a few weeks back and I dropped your name with the host. Great bar for apps and beers and people watching - the waiter doling out “sake” bombs at the pool was a hoot!
Great to hear and thank you for the mention. I haven't been there in a long time, perhaps we should ck it out.
What is the name of this hotel?
The names are written in text (in the video).
Ive owned mutiple weeks of of a timeshare since 2005 in the lowrise area and have seen this new construction out of control. They keep saying about improving the airport but just seems like talk and the airport is worse every year with congestion. I enjoy your updates and am a subscriber to the channel, my wife and I would liv to meet you someday, your drone footage is always very professional and look forward to seeing it.
It's from feedback and suggestions that we could and should learn from our mistakes. I know the airport is completing an expansion. How much will it help remains to be seen but it does look promising. Hope to meet you next time you visit.
are all these workers…Arubian workers or foreign people brought in by Iberostar?
I don't have that info right now.
@@johndagger-ng9sj i live on the island mayority are foreign and a little locals just like st regis.
Your $20.00 ED CARD charge is paying for a new sewar system which these mega resorts should be paying for. But Aruba is charging all the tourist to visit its island. In addition to the room cost, transportation cost, dining cost etc, etc isn't enough. Eventually they will price themselves like all other Caribbean locations.
I don't agree with the ED card charge. There should have been another way around it. On the other hand we need to pay it too when we visit countries like the US & Canada. So it depends how you see it. While I sometimes don't agree with how things are done, I'm just here to inform☺️
Aaaahhh, please stop the development. Your island is a great place, and it's soon going to be overrun and way too expensive. Nice video Hyro, thanks for the update.
Unfortunately these decisions are made by those in the government and not by the common citizen (me included). I think if we locally are very realistic and sincere, we should (all) now work on everything around it to make it a better island in every sense of the word. I think feedback by our repeat visitors should be taken seriously and I thank you for your opinion.
As a 30 year timeshare owner who comes to Aruba every year it is absolutely ridiculous the amount of construction that is going on !! The past comment on how the infrastructure will not be able to handle all the people is soo true!! And as also mentioned, where are they going to find the work force?? What ever happened to the idea of a moratorium on building new lodging projects after they built the Ritz Carlton?? It’s sad to see what is happening to Aruba!!
These to my understanding are all permits that were given years ago. There is and has been a moratorium for a few years. Not sure if the Secrets resort was an exception. None the less thank you for your concern. It's a hot topic locally as well.
@@LetsgowithHyro Yes Hyro as I understand it, before the former political party was voted out of office, they approved and gave permits to all of these projects?? Well, let’s hope that all new construction projects will turn toward improving infrastructure and quality of life! My wife and I love your channel and really like You and Marlene keeping us abreast of what’s going on in Aruba!! 👍👍
Do they have any plan for expanding the infrastructure to handle all the plumbing waste from these new projects? Or is the smell you get outside of passions just going to get worse
hope all the new hotels would give some different vibes instead of all the other boring american style hotels
Let's wait and see.
Zullen we proberen😊
It's becoming a bit much. I haven't visited since 2022. I'm sure when I visit next year I won't recognize anything
Thank you for your concern.
It’s still hot.
The wind is still blowing.
The food is great and the kindness and beauty of People are even more so.
How about upgrading your Airport?? All this new construction and same old long lines at the airport. The government is going to kill the golden goose !
I know there is a new project at the airport about to open. Will ck in to that.
@@LetsgowithHyro thank you! Anxious to know what the improvements are.
Het is teveel en te massaal
Ja lijkt😏
Hyro, is the new property on Eagle- 1st one shown....is that the new property next to the Screaming Eagle?? Thank you!
Yes a big eyesore.
Yes it is the one at Eagle Beach.
WHO CARES!
Everybody else who watched the video. Why are you here?
No need to shout🙁
