They are doing it on fire tablets as well. I have the 13th gen fire tablet. All of the apps i sideloaded are not working at all. No matter how many times i factory reset the device or uninstall and reinstall the apps they dont work anymore
I found a French channel for my wife, no VPN required. She watched half a film, came back the next day and the app was gone, and I have been unable to find it again.
I have the sky app for the latest films it was working fine but now it won't connect despite me trying it lots of times ,,,all the other apps are ok except the sky app,,, WHY??
Unknown source app now does not work anymore even though it always did previously. Deleted the app and when I tried to reinstall via downloader it just comes up with error saying check url which I know is correct. They're definately blocking somehow cos I tried it on a second firestick with the same result.

More scaremongering click bait ! Auto offload feature has been in place for months now and is 'optional' AND it's only applied to official apps, not third party side loaded apps ! Same with the privacy and data settings ...all old news. Amazon will NOT be applying Vega OS to current firesticks nor are there any plans for new firesticks to be affected , only certain new Amazon touchscreen devices like Tablets and Echo etc. Unfortunately Freetech posted a similar video recently and I criticised him also for scaremongering !. Have some respect for your subscribers please ! 😕

Make sure your Auto OFFLOAD is turned off and they are not blocking any 3rd party apps

Notice my space as been eating up dramatically with constant updates. Taken out a lot of apps an transfers to smart TV.

On August 20th 2024 I just added some things to my friends fire stick side-loaded several apps with no issues in Sacramento California
No reason why they should or can or be allowed to collect usage data. All privacy off and offloading off.

The auto offload feature is broken and nobody should have that turned on. I got the Onn 4k pro to replace it.
