Used my BV 350 on a police run bike safety course in the UK. I was put 1:1 with a bike cop and not with the other "big bikes" as they thought I would not be able to keep up. At the end of the day, the cop said that I could easily have kept up with BMWS GS1200 etc on the course. I was taking chicane corners at 50MPH and he said that a lot of sports bike owners would have struggled to take the same corners at 40mph. SO, as long as you keep to legal speeds, he BV350 is just a quick in the real world.
poisedonis hey man i was wondering if you can go long dinstance trip with this scooter and if the performance is good enough for the driver. Thanks in advance
well I'm planning on doing some 2 day trips in the mountains this summer, since my daughter is going to Greece and the scooter will be free. The performance so far is better than many bigger scooters that I have rode.
I use this Scooter as my only source of transport now days and love it. I do get weird looks sometimes, I guess people can't tell if it's a scooter or bike at times like someone else on here said. I love pulling away from traffic lights as people expect it to be a slow bike
I had a typhoon 125 that I loved! I switched to a Honda nhx110 which is a great little fuel injected scoot. My typhoon was carb. But the Honda has no where near the top speed 52mph vs 62mph. I have been saving for a bv350. I found a used 13 with8k miles for 3750. But I really want a new one or a few less miles. I want one for commuting 35 miles to work everyday. All freeway miles. This is a great video to help me get a good perspective of what it's like to ride one
I miss my scooter. Got a 2007 BMW GS650fs Dakar but am looking at this scoot. Wife is not happy. Lol says I'll be the laughing stock. Don't care. Scooters are a blast and just feel right. But this time I want quality. No more Chinese crap.
Yeah this is a normal outcome than demonstrates that you don't NEED a super powerful bike. We all WANT one but that's a different thing. When I'm out on my 9 year old GS500F and my friends are on their litre bikes I can keep up with them no problems. Sure I take 1 or 2 seconds longer to get to 100km/hr but sticking near the speed limits (which we always do) I can keep with them all day no problem at all. We are all at about the same age and riding skill level. While they will never admit it they are pissed off that my old bike can stay with their hot BMWs, and Suzukis through it all. It's gold really!! Good video.
poisedonis Make no mistake though I'm in l o v e with the new Kawasaki Z800 which might be added to my garage in the new financial year! Will keep you posted...
It's a shame the new ones have just 30 hp, with the new regulations they have taken off 3 hp from the old ones that had 33, really disappointed with that, they should have taken off maximum 1.
Oh yes, it was in the shop getting an oil change, the son said keep it for now, he still wants to practice on it, plus as you know it's still a fun bike to ride.
