Tame Impala - Let it happen or the less I know the better please 😊 All the music is written, recorded and produced by one guy Kevin Parker, musical genius!
Dude I think that a lot of other songs on this album will blow you away production wise. This track is pretty "tame" by comparison. It was the single, but the other tracks are much more esoteric
We NEEEEED more Tame Impala! and this is coming from a huge metal guy, too. Let It Happen (studio version for the full song) by Tame Impala is my personal favorite. The production on it is insane. Each of his albums sound pretty significantly different from another. All of it has a psychadelic theme, and the kind of rock and pop it expresses that trippy theme through varies throughout Kevin's discography.

Kevin's best work imo. Alter Ego, it's not meant to be, why won't you make up your mind, desire be desire go, lucidity .. heck, all of them! 12 songs and no misses

Tame Impala is part of a neo-psychedelic revival that's been going on outside of mainstream trends for about a decade now. Unknown Mortal Orchestra is another really good band doing similar stuff that's worth checking out; all their albums are fairly stylistically diverse, especially the past few, but a good place to start would be something like the title track off their album "Multi-Love".
I'm not easily sucked into something but [this] guy got a hold on me - if I'm in the right state of mind, this music allows me to zone out for a little while. This is actually only one guy making all of these sounds layers vocals guitars - everything; pretty amazing to me as you and me are probably about the same age and I normally stick with the classics but keep an ear open for something new and fresh..like this
Tame Impala is an Australian neo-psychedelic rock band in the form of one guy called Kevin Parker (although, when he performs live or wants to know how it sounds live in the studio, he is accompanied by a few band members). Parker plays all the instruments, writes all the songs, and produces all of them too. Tame Impala has been described as "a scientific experiment where, in an alternate timeline, John Lennon in 1966 decided to join Pink Floyd". There are 4 albums; the first two (Innerspeaker and Lonerism) are firmly in the 'neo-psychedelic rock' category whereas the latter two albums (Currents and The Slow Rush) are closer to disco/psychedelic pop. 'Elephant' is from Lonerism and is somewhat of an anomaly in their music as it is much bluesier than their usual songs. For a taste of each album I recommend checking out 'Feels Like We Only Go Backwards', 'Why Won't You Make Up Your Mind?', 'The Less I Know the Better', and 'Is It True?'.
What’s insane is how Tame Impala is completely involved with all aspects of the production of his music and he actually writes and records all his music and all the instruments himself. Dude is on another level 👌
You are not gonna hear many people recommend this song bc its not the most popular but I really think that you would enjoy "Nothing that has happened so far is anything that we could control".

I've never heard this band until now. Sounds old and new all at once........ That's cool. The mix is way punchy and really unique. It's a really catchy, straight forward song with not so straight forward engineering. I should hear some more from this band.
You granted my wish! More Tame Impala! Every album is absolute magic and you get to really experience Kevin's evolution/exploration into music. From all kinds of instrumental bliss to different worlds of engineering wizardry. My top suggestions would be any of the first 3 songs from the first album (Innerspeaker), Why Wont They Talk To Me from the 2nd (Lonerism), The Moment from the 3rd (Currents), then Lost In Yesterday and/or It Might Be Time from his most recent album (The Slow Rush). It's so hard to choose, they're all so f***ing good...

Yes please play “Let it Happen”. But for background Tame is Kevin Parker. This skinny Aussie dude who plays all the instruments on the record and records it all in his home studio. He’s a drummer by trade but learned all other instruments. What’s cool is he plays the drums through his tracks but then chops them up as if they were samples for the final production. He thrives on having this vintage psychedelic rock way of doing things. So glad you visited Impala country! Please do more!

YAASS! Stoked you’re checking out Tame Impala! This track is kind of like NIN’s Closer in that it’s kind of a forward track but not that representative of his sound. Fortunately almost any track by this guy is sheer genius. For similar psychedelic rock see the rest of Lonerism and Innerspeaker, for his more clubby sound see Currents and Slow Rush. Highest recommended track for me is The Less I Know the Better (but just show the album cover to avoid the long, SNFW intro on the video). Cheers!
Geebz, thanks for doing this band as I have requested them before. I feel like they will be a must continuing forward. They are one of the biggest acts in the world rn. A song that you might enjoy is Beer by Reel Big Fish. Not what you might typically listen to, but it has a nice groovy bass line :) Regardless if you check it or not, have an awesome day 😎
Tame Impala is one of my all time favorites. I first heard him my local alternative rock station so I thought it was a John Lennon song, I literally googled "John Lennon elephant song" trying to find it. Now he is one of my all time favorites
Kevin Parker, the singer, started Tame Impala as a one man band, recording every instrument on the early "Tame Impala" EP. (Check out the song "Half Glass Full of Wine.") It made a big splash, and he quickly put a great band together. Sometimes he sounds a lot like John Lennon. But his real value is in the guitar and pedals. He's a master of finding really awesome gnarly grooves with his guitar. Check out "Lucidity" or "Alter Ego" from his 1st album Innerspeaker. His first couple of albums were all about psychedelic surfer rock with big emphasis on guitars and pedals. Elephant is on the 2nd album Lonerism, which has a lot of good guitar jams. But you could tell with Elephant he was already starting to experiment with synths a lot more. So he tried something new with the 3rd album Currents, and produced and mixed the whole album himself, to see what he could do with a more synth driven vibe.
I'd like to see you react to a song from his album Currents, its one of the best mixed/mastered album I've heard, super clean. As an engeneer I think you're going to enjoy it,
Great reaction again dude! Feels Like We Only Go Backwards I think is one of the best "rock" songs of the past 20 years. But can't go wrong with other suggestions here. The Less I Know The Better and Alter Ego I would also start with. Early albums more psychedelic and rock-y, later albums more pop-y/dance-y.
Tame Impala! Great, love them. Their first two albums Innerspeaker and Lonerism are awesome! They went more synth on their newer stuff, but I love the first two with the mix of some distorted guitar and live drums type of thing. Does this mean you are dipping into some Aussie bands, are we going to see some King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard, Murlocs or Orb coming up? hope so!

So he tried something new with the 3rd album Currents, and produced and mixed the whole album himself, to see what he could do with a more synth driven vibe.
I'd like to see you react to a song from his album Currents, its one of the best mixed/mastered album I've heard, super clean. As an engeneer I think you're going to enjoy it,
I have no music knowledge at all, but this is so interesting
They've got a full band for when they play live but on the recordings Kevin Parker plays everything
Let It Happen is pretty incredible. I'm sure you'd appreciate the production.
Kevin Parker is ridiculously talented and Tame Impala criminally underated, especially his earlier stuff. Thanks for another awesome video.
Awesome! I think you oughta check out “Secular Haze” by “Ghost” (or Ghost B.C.)
Yep they’re just Ghost now that the name lawsuit is settled. “Majesty”‘ is another great track :)
you should do more tame impala! great work. keep it up. waiting for let it happen.
OMG i love this reaction his face is soo descriptive. (Idk if thats the right word)
I think maybe "expressive," but close enough haha
Tame Impala! Great, love them. Their first two albums Innerspeaker and Lonerism are awesome! They went more synth on their newer stuff, but I love the first two with the mix of some distorted guitar and live drums type of thing. Does this mean you are dipping into some Aussie bands, are we going to see some King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard, Murlocs or Orb coming up? hope so!
Murlocs FTW - "Young Blindness" is an underrated masterpiece of modern blues rock
@@n__rtu8324 Yes, an excellent album for sure. I have to check out more of their album Loopholes, but Young Blindness, Old Locomotive and Manic Candid Episode are all deadly albums
Spot on with the Money shout.
Now I finally know the name and artist of this track! Heard it on ads before, never knew where it came from
If you’re going to do Tame Impala again, PLEASE do “Let it Happen” (video version).
Great vids brother, lve me some tame impala
