Really awesome that Don remembers the promoters of different territories and area's and those that worked together and those who didn't! I've always admired Don for never being negative about promoters and workers from his career that might have chit on him. He might say they were cheap or hard to get along but he will never downright put them in a Bullseye. Just not his style! Don will always be one of the few wrestlers who is admired by most of his peers and management in The Business! Mahalo and Aloha from COW-lumbus, Ohio MOO 👋
Verne very much was doing business with Fritz . They both owned a small piece of McGuirk’s territory . When Watts took over he had to buy them both out ( Reportedly he paid them with their own earnings lol )
Damn thats why Crockett was trying to sign all awa wrestler's backstage during cwa vs NWA vs awa event to come to NWA because he still mad verne left nwa to create awa
What are you talking about? The AWA was friendly with the NWA in order to keep appearances up because of the anti-trust lawsuit in the 50s. Verne never stopped being a member anyways because he owned points in NWA territories at various times.
Kingsport, Despite Crusher's Kayfabe Persona, he was really just a quiet family man. His family was in Milwaukee. Crusher had no interest in moving to Mpls to defend a belt. He would just like to come in for a few months, make as much money as he could and then go home or move on.
70s wrestling was the best . I miss the territories and the underground niche feel of being a fan . I outgrew wrestling but it was made easy to walk away from . The death of the territories was the death of wrestling . What we have now ? You might love it but it sucks by every measure that mattered to wrestling fans in the territory day

@@Rjensen2 Greg said Crockett was going giving awa wrestler's contracts stealing their talent 😂
What was the beef between crusher and verne over money or the title 😂😂
Money, why would it be for the title?
@@Rjensen2 Verne gagne was selfish with it
@kingsports1113 You don't know what you are talking about.

And yet, you still follow it and complain. 😂😂😂
