Those cut-in segments of people noticing Tony on the streets were a great touch, well done
I was thinking the same thing. I don't know if Casey intended this (via editing) or not, but it was fun seeing the people that usually flock to Casey flock to Tony instead; and Casey seemed to be enjoying that fact, too. =^)
TONY IS A SKATEBOARDING HERO!!!
8:48 LA CONCHA DE LA LORA TONY HAWK !!!
Hey if u have time check out my last vid where im on a crane🤙🏽
It would mean a lot
AuthenTech -
i don’t think i’ve ever seen casey so excited/nervous for an interview
Damn I have the same shirt as Tony hawk. I can say I'm a cool guy!
He was more nervous interviewing Tony Hawk than he did with Elon Musk !!
me too
Casey didnt liked what Tony said at 9:50, because he realized he fits in the description lol
The fakest "I love what I do!" you will hear ever.
@@anonimails Think your wrong about that..
I wish Casey filmed a scene with him and Tony boosted boarding around NYC
Ninjaman195 YES!!!!
What a great idea!!
Yess!!?
A true skater wouldn't put one foot on one of those.
@@airhab a true skater would realize boosted boards don't conflict with regular skating and are an efficient and green way to navigate a city. The purpose isn't to look cool riding them, but imo they're cooler than the scooters that are quickly taking over cities
NEXT TIME!
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater was the catalyst to just about every 90s kid's knowledge of skateboarding. nuff said.
^THIS.
Daddy!!
Otay
True that my man.
Stompting the grass
I love the fact that the whole time Casey was holding back how happy he was to be sitting there with Tony! Also love the fact that after all these years Tony is still such a humble man! Keep killing it you two and keep LIVING THE DREAM!
Yep. Tony is still Tony. Met him decades ago by accident.
Bonkers About Alice I’m lucky as the life I have lived so far I have come across many good people! I would love to hang and have a very sesh with the legend but for now I’ll live though all my lucky friends that get to hang with him on the regular!
I think Casey is just on cloud 9, I know I would be!
I agree with you
@@erichly be
This type of video to promote an app/movie is what I think we need more of, no professional studios and things like that just Casey being nervous talking to someone who was a hero
not "was a hero" rather he still is a hero
Facts Bro, Love ur vids!
Yo Harrison what’s good
UA-cam is awesome, the barrier to entry is just a smart phone. You can do everything from your phone, shoot, edit and upload from one device that fits into your pocket. It is totally cool what we can do.
Tony Hawk is the man. Been a fan since I was a little one
Hello Sparc Mac! Reeeeeeeee!
I love runescape 😍
Same brother
Sparc Mac make fortnite videos
...a little man?
missed opportunity to say "later sk8er"
The fact that he skated away added to the fact that he’s a legend
Yes only good reason am glad he didnt give his board to Casey when he asked to play on it. Perhaps he'll send one to Casey signed maybe. Anyway great advice thank you. Am changing my life completely this year
11:03 this shot is powerful. This man is 50 years old STILL JUST CASUALLY skateboarding away... amazing
DavidParody bet you won’t reply to this😑🙏🏼
saw him a few years ago at a festival mad to see him literally 10 ft off the vert ramp at his age. such a legend
DavidParody lol powerful ? Why would he not be able to ride away on a sidewalk lmao
Daviiddd
The ending is so crazy just to see tony skating away is crazy imagine getting some og pizza in ny and you see Tony motherfukn hawk just skating down the street id lose my shit
Casey! Great work again!
“Big decisions in my life have always come easy and are made without hesitation. It is easier for me to make a life-changing decision than to decide what to get for dessert.”
― Tony Hawk
Tony is 50 and he still shreds! What a legend 💪
Man oh man .....how much this video here helped me.....love them..... specially Casey so greatfull for bringing on awesome people and asking them relevant questions....💚
Dude thanks for just existing, just keep going on your stuff because you make me feel soooo good about trying new stuff
Guys, I can't believe they made Tony in real life after the PS1 game
"Can I ollie on your skateboard man?" No pressure Casey lol Now this is what I like to see two top dawgs acting like every day
people!

Bear Briganti 😂 I never had to spell it before now
Best part in the entire video! Everyone's dream would be to use Tony Hawks Skateboard!
Honestly your videos are so creative, entertaining and insightful. You inspire me sooo much and I’m grateful that I’m subscribed to you. I have learned so much from you so thank you! Thank you for everything that you do because you are the reason why people look up to you so much. Glad you got to meet Tony Hawk btw! That’s awesome!
Loved this - we need you editing alot more documentaries Casey. You capture the life of people's passion perfectly
This is a legendary collab, Casey
Brett Conti
I worked for tony years ago and he's quite the asshole. he's rude to bmxers and is a stuck up snob especially to fans around his age.
he's a tweeker and demanded me constantly to be glued to his side because tweeks so bad and can't handle his nor others energy.
he hates his fans of all ages but especially folks around his age. I was the only one he was nice to at events and eventually quit because he's too much.
@@neeneec5394 I don't believe a word of that.
R B Jones
and you don't have to because its obvious you've never met him or known him long enough.
I can only agree very powerful!
R B Jones
PS
I'm only revealing this because he dissed my brother because of his age being a fan... tony was a big inspiration to my brother in 80's... and I doubt tony can ride a hand stand down steep hills over 1/2 mile to end of road like my brother did in 80's.
tony is a jerk.
Tony Hawk is effing 50!!! Where the hell does time go?!?
It goes day by day. You see him in videos where some of them aren't current ones, so that is why you are confused since you don't see him daily to notice his aging progress.
How old does it make you feel?
And looks like he is 70 :-D
SMA Dad OMG TONY HAWK
Yup...I had a poster of Tony on my wall when I was 11.....he was only 20....I'm old AF as well.....
Casey!!!! I love your channel!!! You inspire me to just do everything - film, start a channel, etc. You're a legend.
nice interview, it's always inspiring when a legend gives the advice. Just to follow your dream for such a long time and do not give up, that's a great inspiration.
You know Casey is serious when he includes clips from the news
Willem Verbeeck : lol true that
you know casey is serious when he has his sunglasses on
Big facts
Does the news company charge him for that or do they simply have to give permission to use that clip ?
UA-cam rocks! A multi-million dollar network is no longer needed to interview the brightest people on the planet. A two-camera shoot as well! I love listening to stories like this.
4xoverland So true
As long as UA-cam treats the UA-camr’s well and correctly then this platform will overtake mainstream media very fast. Problem at the moment is how demonetisations is hammering down on some very good creators for silly things.
I worry that UA-cam will become to big for itself but in a pure form it is awesome and better than mainstream media
Until net neutrality...
TV networks are starting to feel weird/old/outdated. Cable television is circling around the drain... it's only because of sports that cable TV is still alive. Eventually the NFL and NBA will realize that people would love to watch the games live from their phones/computers more easily and they'll shake off these cable TV monopolies. The model is just so dumb... you have to get tons of other channels that you don't even want and pay some monthly fee just for the few channels you actually do watch.
I just watched this guys an hour ago and subscribe "he's genuine and love this guy to watch"
How many of us grew up Idolizing Tony Hawk!? He is the man, legend and an incredible role model. It's amazing at 50 he's still riding. So inspirational. Don't ever stop doing what you love. It's all a mindset
Seeing Tony Hawk brings back so many memories of me playing Tony Hawk's underground in the good old days when there wasn't any stress or responsibilities.
Hammad Ali Facts!!!
So true
Listening to songs like
Motorhead - Ace of Spades
The Ramones - Blitzkrieg Bop
Goldfinger - Superman
Yeah those were the days...
I just miss the late 90's when skaters were still seen as rebels and punks --- who wouldn't wanna bang Avril Lavigne as a skater chick?

At 17:
Tony : buys a house
Casey : has a baby
And here I am at 17, playing CSGO...
@@mehranmahdlou4375 Here I am almost 20 retaking my finals because I want to go to med school. I was nobody at age of 17 and I am still nobody right now.

Try It2 he has a kid that’s an adult. He has videos with him on his channel
mobby30 until your success story. I believe you can become successful, you’re already on the right path.
such an amazing video! Thx Casey & Tony for MOTIVATION!
Hey Casey, happy new year.
Thanks for doing this video.
It’s been the best birthday gift I’ve ever received.
The past two years,
I’ve been working on my “first “UA-cam video and I was just about ready to
Give up on living my dream and you got Tony Hawk to rejuvenate my energy.
Awesome content.
I’m 31 now, but I lived and breathed skateboarding from age 10 to 17. I competed in the vans triple crown, designed our local skatepark. It was my life! My dad bought me Tony Hawks book shortly after I started skateboarding.
Tony, you are awesome!
Wish I still kept skating but I never really had any talent for it, but I believe talent doesn't exist either some are fast learners and others take longer to learn I was one of those people who very slow learner behind everyone else. I still enjoy watching skating never stopped watching it but if I kept skating i'd be good by now lol.
Rodney mullen is a legend too same with the z boys (rip jay adams)
of course
Jonas Marcinko Hey if u have time check out my last vid where im on a crane🤙🏽

@@MatteoPalanca reported for spam!!!
You are still just as much a part of skateboarding as Tony Hawk. Without people like, we wouldn't have the community we have today!
He left without trying a Boosted Board or OneWheel?!
He would piss off the entire skateboard community if he rode one.
Tony gets paid for endorsements. Lol
He's old school.
Tech We Want no
He probably has them.
This is the kind of video that you are best at: inspiration! You and Hawk together are great. Well done.
This is incredible. Thank you Casey!
Wanted to see Tony on a boosted board!
Was thinking this the whole time
that's what I just thought of
You have no clue how much that would have upset the skateboard community
Hellllllll noooooooo
Not gonna happen 😆
What a legend.
Ikr. :D
What’s up Tom?
No you a legend
It's really amazing to see Tony hawk on your channel Casey haven't seen him for years has been really inspiring to hear from him
Every time i watch your videos, the music in your background, it just calms me down so much
Tony is a legend! I remembered playing him on PlayStation 1 in 1990s 👍
dr. Ray Leonard Judijanto Yep me too 👌🏼
RIP all the controllers and keyboards destroyed while playing this game
Me too
We all do bro
dr. Ray Leonard Judijanto : tire that he made skateboarding what it is for sure
Tony Hawks on the PS1 !! Classic
I can't even imagine the number of hours my friends and I spent playing that game on the PS1
@@talon4x4 was so good! Still got it, going to get it back out, planning to introduce a noob to it soon on our ch!
You are a hero Casey and Tony. Keep it up dudes! Both legends and both inspire me
Your videos always make me feel happy, this one especially. Thank you.
Can you imagine just casually walking the streets of NYC and then out of no where comes Tony Hawk whizzing by you on his skateboard?
Lol that would be so disorienting 😂
With casey too
Only in New York lol
Tony Hawk pro skater on the PS2 was honestly the source of my youth. We then tried attempting these tricks down the skate park and failed epically. Tony Hawk forever legend, hero and inspiration✊
man.... totally shoulda asked about his thoughts on the boosted boards!!!
Thank you both for making an amazing video for everyone to see
Tony Hawk's Underground - one of THE best games ever in my whole childhood haha!! LEGEND!

Living the dream in every single day. What a good advice to start the 2019.
The guy in this video looks like that famous skateboarder guy.

Your interviews are so damn good Casey. You really have a great style and way of making the most interesting conversation happen.
dang bro you have one of the best youtube channels I've seen yet, you should have your own show on netflicks or cable. never give up never surrender on 368 💪🏻🚀

Casey / Tony, nice job with this video. Love that Tony's still doing his thing at 50yrs of age. From a guy who's 51yrs old...Never stop doing what you love! EVER!

It was weird when you brought out the 2nd camera
So weird.
Too weird
Unnecessarily weird
Utmost weird
And racking the zoom in and out? What was that? I thought that was a passing fad. Oh, well.
The quote at 00:30 is from the movie “Rushmore” by Wes Anderson
Both of you are great, still living the dream forever you deserve it
More videos like this! So inspiring from such a legend from the 90s! :)
"¡LA CONCHA DE LA LORA, ES TONY HAWK!" hahahaha, glorious!!

Too good man!!
What does it mean?
Bruno Tier “you got to be fucking kidding me, it’s tony hawk” would be the meaning of it. But if you translate it word by word it would be something completely different lol
Bruno Tier it directly translates to “the female parrot’s shell” but i think she’s using it as “holy fuck, it’s tony hawk”
@@matiasargonz3543 Thanks!
should have had him ride the boosted board
yeap
He doesn’t want to ride that garbage haha
sponsorship problems maybe?
Birdhouse is Tony’s own brand he can ride whatever he wants lol

Loved this!!! Thanks for making this video Casey!! 🙌🏾
The Secret: Find something you love to do and do it for the rest of your life! 🔥
Do something you love so you don't have to work anymore in your life.
Find something. Start working in getting THE BEST at it. And please don´t follow your dreams. That is BS.
The real secret is figuring out how to get paid to do it.
But in all seriousness you can't always do what you love, so what's infinitely more important is to learn to love whatever you do.
I like the fact that this is a small story on such a Huge journey. This video is filled with words of wisdom, interviewing sections and positivity . Awesome edit
Casey, I love how natural you are even with other celebrities and famous people unlike some other youtubers who become someone else when they interview someone famous ! 🙌
OMG! Thanks for keep with this vids Casey, last time I saw one of your videos you were hanging out with Will Smith, now an interview with Tony Hawk I am a youtuber in Guatemala is very hard to believe in something when you´ve grown in a 3rd world class society but wen I see videos like this it make me believe again that is possible to achieve what ever its on my mind, I thank you for inspiring your followers I also thank you for inspiring me, you are the best, please keep doing what you love!
Very well done Casey. I'm not usually into "special guest" type videos, but you nailed with this. Loved the old skate footage and background.
I remember walking through my university about ten years ago and Tony Hawk was there doing some tricks for about a dozen people outside the arts building. He had been there for a talk and was just hanging out afterwards with a few students. Didn't have to do it but did anyway. No wonder the guy has such staying power, he never stops.
Thanks for a beautiful crafted vid. Love it!
Humble man talking to another humble man. Great video! Hopefully I'm one of the lucky few to live the dream!
This is my new favorite video of yours ever!
killer advice Tony!!!! Livin the dream!!!

Excellent video on an important life lesson of living the life you love, and loving the life you live.
Such an incredible peace of advice! One of the easiest to figure out and probably one of the most difficult to make the first step and start focusing only at it.
Casey, I've been subscribed to you for four years. I felt like this was a particularly good video. I just wanted to tell you that I love your work. Cheers, Ethan!
Feeling motivated by Tony Hawks words of Wisdom/advice and I’m sure going to take it. I look up to these people who created themselves and ditched the status quo. Thank You
Nice video Casey. Your creative ways, work ethic and fun ways have inspired to start my own channel from Puerto Rico sharing fun stories of normal days on the island. Sending positive energy from the Caribbean :)
Casey you are truly amazing dude from the first Vlog to the most recent the entertainment quality has always-always been 100% on. I have a heavy-heavy day job in the capital markets with a target of raising upwards on $500 mm a year for various real estate ventures and if I'm not chilling watching you here on UA-cam I play you in the background I don't use a split screen wouldn't get anything done. You're the man don't ever stop ~
