I'm not a dad but I'm a son. And my father to me is like a pillar in my life that I know I can always lean on whenever needed, however old or far. I do not believe a father is no longer needed once you grow up.
As a kid, I can say I’m always going to need my parents in one way or another. As I got into my 30s my relationship with my parents became stronger than ever
you will always be needed man. Humans arent like other animals in the world where once we become independent we leave permanently. Your daughter will still be your daughter but with a lot less responsibility. Thats about it. Youre still her dad always
You will always be needed. Just because your not there with her as much as you used to doesn't mean your not thought of. And she's obv confident enough to do life which shows you done THE BEST job as a patent you ever could. Proud of you.
Man, no one else vlogs like Casey. Every single Casey vlog is just so special in its own way.
Such perfect establishing shots, the lighting, cinematography, the beats. Man, you always hit those beats soooo well.
Fr, Casey makes it feel like he carries around 7 cameras or 2 extra guys just for establishing shots
you're a one of a kind creator and filmmaker casey; nothing on youtube comes close to your films
what makes them good?
The editing and storytelling, a casey vlog is like a movie
The camera edits, the setups, the narrative - these aren't vlogs; they're short films 👌🏼
Ikr? Wondering how he did that. So much effort in one video. Passionately done.
He constantly did that for one year daily! And it was the greatest vlogs run on youtube ever!
@@khurshidmarwat9399 Try 3 years + ..... Doing these as one offs isnt that hard... doing 2/3 a week... yeah its effort.... every dang day...... OG and why he is the GOAT of UA-cam :)
Cameron Watt yeah he’s just so full of energy and active, he made it possible somehow while having a newborn and a wife
Always has been.
This was such a real and heartfelt story! Thanks for sharing.
I don't know why there aren't more genuine video creators like Casey 😪 Glad you are back
I’m getting back into it. Give my videos a look :))
Casey will forever be unique. He’s a dying race. People from today aren’t as raw and genuine as him. BUT one guy that reminds me of him is Kane Vato. He has a channel with his wife Pia Muehlenbeck. Kane is also very unique and puts a lot of effort in editing. He’s very passionate. But Casey’s style will forever be one of a kind
Casey: barely uploading ever
Also Casey: puts out an absolute banger just to show that he's still one of the GOATS...missed you, buddy!
a Casey's videos restores the balance on youtube.
Ehh it’s not that good
underrated comment
I never noticed how many times Casey cuts, like how much he literally changes angles especially at the Tesla charging scene. He literally had to stop, pick up his camera move it, then stop again and move it again, then pick it up and move it again. Like you just gotta appreciate the effort.
I miss your videos like this!
No doubt!
I like him so much more than mr beast David dobrik
Yep me too
Dan your videos are amazing too!
BRO
You have not lost your touch, man. This was excellent. A very proud father!!
Wow Trevor I was so surprised to see your name in the comment section. I really love your channel.
"I got this flashlight"
Me: Oh, cool flashlight
Casey: Baseball Bat Flashlight
Karuken Complex mind if I whip this out
Link where to buy??
Thank you @Karuken Complex! I was wondering what kind of flashlight this is... genius!
OMG - I couldn't agree more. My son is 36 and I'm 57 - I don't really know how to still be parent to him. He doesn't need anything from in the material sense - he's done well for himself. I suppose just being there for him emotionally is my job now.
I feel personally attacked by “hes too smart for that” 😂
hehe...yeah that was a low key put down of the entire audience
Hahaha felt the same way
Me too. So I better say bye bye to this channel.
you're understanding it incorrectly, he's too smart not to get involved in his dad's 'personal' life kind of thing and that also the video is gonna be revolved around him which he seems to hate.
Bern. G I don’t think he hates it, I’m sure they talk about it. He’s seems just not super interested and like he just doesn’t want to put tons of energy into it
My dad has been saying recently: ‘I don’t have tell you what to do anymore, I can only give you advice’. He is always there to give me advice and listen to me when I need it. I love having conversations with him :).
Seems like an awesome dad! Mine could learn something from yours, I live on my own but he's still complaining about how I do things and how I should do them. That's why I see him very little :/
That sounds like a Dad who did the work while you were growing up.
He raised an adult.
FE59FE59 aww that’s a shame, but maybe when you would want to have kids you can try a different approach :).
Your Majesty yeah, I’m proud of him and I hope I can do the same thing for my kids.
@@xFreeky Yes, definitely, now I have a perfect example how not to do it :)
Casey has the skill of making a 10 minute video into feeling like it’s a 20 minute video
Edit: mixed reply’s, I meant it as a good thing not a bad one.
I do too, but for the wrong reasons. 😂
Hahah, just started my channel where I take trucks into the mountains and bag on them. I'm hoping I can make some people laugh.
@@bushtruck really have to self promote smh
Darooj haha no no, in a good way
Casey telling people how to use that Chinese spy app TikTok with a vpn was pathetic. At least he got paid handsomely.
As a 41 yr old first time father to a 1 year old here. This one got me. They grow up fast...and before you know it they're all grown up.
Casey’s search history: where can I get a flash light beating stick
I also live in Venice and own a flash light beating stick. necessities
lol
@@OnwardAndAwkward I live in a quiet town in new Zealand and I have a flashlight beating stick
@@kiwibird8441 haha
Coincidentally my search history now also has: where can I get a flashlight beating stick
casey’s the only youtuber who makes every minute of the video impactful and worth my time
Casey’s such a force for good on the internet. We need more of that.
I second this!
True that
Aly selfserendipity I totally agree!
I miss the vlog, such good vibes
Yep. I agree
I appreciate how he really takes of care of his sponsors. Most youtubers just get through it like it’s a chore, but I love how he actually wants to communicate the good his sponsors have to offer.
Followed you dear
well hes getting about $30K for a sponsor so he cant really half ass it
Casey’s car seats are cleaner than the water that comes out of my faucet
Well.. Tesla's seat is stain proof🤣
As a grown 27 year old who did not know his dad. I would say just be there.
.... and put the camera down.
imagine seeing a guy casually working out in front of his tesla in broad daylight talking to a camera.
So classic. Only Casey would not get punched out for looking like a deuschbag. (which he clearly does not)
I think it would be worse in night than a broad daylight tho
Why? It is smart to use the time in meaningful way. If we all learn to judge less what other do, we would be happier. Majority of the time you have no idea what is the context behinds someones actions anyway.
It's a very LA thing to do, no?
probably just mind my own business
Goosebumps at the end.. love your story telling gift
Can’t imagine what it must feel like to have a father who loves his kid. They’re all very fortunate to have family.
Why’d you move out, your supposed to look after your parents as they get older, but then again u have ur reasons I respect it
NonStop-FrenZy Who are you talking to?
Laura R it makes sense you do wat u gotta do
NonStop-FrenZy indeed, and you’re definitely living that mantra right now. Not sure who has moved away from their elderly parents as no one has mentioned that. Maybe you see something I don’t?
Yes they are. But for those who don't have a family and/or a father, you should know that you are never alone! The world itself has so much to offer you. There are +8Bn people in this place. I assure you there are a LOT of them that can become family somehow... And don't stop imagining how it is like, this is the way for you to get there!! Stay safe s2
Casey, the fact that your role has transitioned to just needing to "be there" for your 22 year old son is a testament to what a great job you have done as a father.
This.
He really have 22 years old son? Im just, learning English now, and i didn't believe that when watched. Maybe i missunderstood smth.
Just he (Casey) look like, 30 old y.
well said ngl
@@fascinating1269 he was 16 when his girlfriend got pregnant. Casey is 39 (born 25.03.1981)
Parenting adult kids
Your role as boss changes to consultant
It’s a transition, a grieving process even because your child is gone but I see so many fail because they want to remain the boss in their adult kids lives
You got this and hey ..... you are a great dad !
X
love this!
What a great sentence. "Your role as boss changes to consultant"
Man! Loads of respect for the effort that goes in these videos.. he was alone without a cameraman he filmed it classic casey style..! ✊
This is why I love Casey's vids.
Production is flawless.
Probably takes a team to film and edit what Casey does on his own.👏👏👏
We need more of Casey right now. Just like this. It makes the world seem a bit more normal, Thanks Casey
But the world isn't normal right now
Just give him a big hug. Tell him you’re proud of him. That’s all he needs
I’m 40 and have a 23 year old son in college. I completely get how you feel! It’s SO much harder when they are older. Them leaving the house was so hard for me.
i don't even care that we don't get frequent content from Casey at this point, i just like it as a nice surprise
As a 22 year old who just moved back in with his parents and having no idea what *I'm* doing, it's good to have perspective of the other side, too, so thanks for that, Casey.
Except he is a millionaire.
Bro I moved back in with my parents 10 years your elder. It’s all just a journey. Remember, you got this!
Hi, I am Hi. What Casey said about being a dad to a grown up son has NOTHING to do with money. It’s the same for every dad out there who has a kid that’s becoming an adult. Also Casey didn’t do anything in that video a “regular” dad couldn’t do too. What a silly comment
@@milastark839 Your comment has nothing to do with mine. Learn to understand the context before you talk.
Hi, I am Hi. It has everything to do with your stupid comment. If not, what did you refer your comment to? Its obvious that you’re trying to say he can’t compare himself with Casey, because Casey is a millionaire
I’d like to imagine he leaves cameras everywhere he goes
🤣
Turns inflating tyres into a 30 min job to get that b roll.
He probably does :))
Bad tires are a huge safety factor on your car, c'mon Casey! Most places fix slow leaks for free, if not free, for a nominal fee.
Missed you so much casey😌

i remember watching Casey's videos and being inspired to make videos. 450k subscribers later and here I am
oh hey! fancy seeing you here
That's awsome
Same :)
I cried at the end of this video. I know that feeling so well, it's like being lost, separated, not involved, you know. It's hard for both sides, awkward, but still loving.
No one can compete with Casey’s editing and Vlog style. Second to none
He is goated man
The pre planning as he takes the drive takes an eye. I’ve made this drive many times
Oscar Manrique In one sequence he probably parked the car around four times again...
Dang it’s crazy to see how much he’s grown!
"When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be twenty-one, I was astonished at how much he had learned in seven years" - Mark Twain
Can you elaborate it
Despite popular knowledge, that sentence wasn't said by Mark Twain
By the time he turned 21, he realized his father isn't ignorant, but that he was.
He's saying that there is a difference between interacting with your father as a boy, and interacting with your father as a man.

Who else got the feels watching this and isn’t even a parent 😭
me
Bruh now i dont know why ive got the feeling that being a parent at 16 isnt so bad, but i should probably stop thinking that
The difference between being a dad at 16 and everyone else is that we're not Casey Neistat. I went to high school with him I knew him when he and his girl got pregnant at the time. There are very few people in this world with the drive and ambition that he has. To the original commenter I was crying by the end of the video so yeah I definitely caught the feels myself, lol.
