I have never touched any of this stuff before and I watched this video then went step by step with you and I actually did it all by myself!!!! Super impressed and proud of myself. Thank you so much for making me look good and teaching me how to do this.
Great directions. Take note of the following: 1. The Window Screws are silver in color 2, The Regulator bolts are Machine screws, flat ends 3. The Speaker screws have pointy ends 4. Take care the window, Right side is in the Felt line track..
Thanks so much for this video. The window in our '05 Camry came off the the regulator over a month ago and I put off fixing it because quotes were kind of high. (Made it hard to go up to drive up restaurant windows.) Up to that time, I didn't even know what a regulator was! I found your video and today I thought I'd see if I could find out if it even needed a new regulator. I was going to check and then order one. I went step by step and it was great. The screw had just come out and it's fixed!
@Kopihucky You could check the fuse to see if it's good. If it is, then you could test the master switch with test light to see if there's power going to it.
One thing that happens with motor is metal binds at around the centre shaft point. The motor shroud can be opened and metal can be ground away to free up the motion. As you open and try to spin it you will see which part binds. A small Dremel with grinding tip is good but can butcher at it with a larger angle grinder too.
Thanks so much for your video, your video makes everything super easy, my window regulator was fine but glue came out from the glass , so i used glue to put it back. it is working and thank you
I just did this on an 06 camry but the window had come all the way out of the door. When I installed the new regulator with the old motor, something happened where it got caught on something in the door, bent an arm on the mechanism and broke the clips the at the bottom of the window. Any ideas what may have gone wrong? It tested fine until I reinstalled the door panel, got it buttoned up and then it went kaput.
Help my window will go down with no problem but sometimes won't go up. Then every thirty seconds it will go up about an inch. So it takes a few minutes to go all the way up. Any thoughts on what could be the issue?
My problem is the window glass is on the top dead position (complete closed position), motor already damaged and can not move down the glass. How can I take out two screws which fixed with the glass ? Can you let me know how to do? Please !

my 05 camry passenger side back window will open down but closing wont come back up. to close, i have to hold the glass all the way up than hit the close button for the rail to come and connect window back in place. please give me some info why its doing this.
We currently do not have an auto repair video on the rear, it may be a similar procedure. We do carry new rear window regulators on our website. Here's a link to them. www.1aauto.com/2002-toyota-camry-window-regulator/y-mo-c/2002-384-16?UA-cam&UA-cam&ATony
Hey guys, I've got a bit of a mystery on my hands. I bought a replacement regulator assy. from you not too long ago and just got to the job today. A few weeks ago the passenger side power window on my 2002 Camry LE (most basic model) seemed to roll itself down as I was driving. When I parked I couldn't roll it back up. I checked all the fuses (number 42 or 43 I think - but also checked a bunch more just to be thorough), then disassembled the passenger door and looked for wiring issues or unplugged harnesses and there were none. So I plugged in the new regulator and for a few minutes was able to operate it in what I think was the down direction - but only in that direction. Now it (the new one) will not operate in either direction. Neither the switch on that door nor the drivers door master panel will operate it. I should also note that my driver's side rear power window hasn't worked for a long time, and I checked that fuse as well, but that wasn't the issue. However I left it alone since I don't ever use that window. It will not work when using the lever on the door itself or on the driver's door panel. I am at a total loss....do you think it might be the ECU/computer? Or is this something to do with the anti-pinch function (which I don't think this car came with as I've never known the windows to reverse if you apply pressure against the top when rolling them up)? Is there a hidden fuse? Can anyone help?
+antoniobolgnameyerwe You may want to test the power going to and from the switch to the window motor. You may also want to check the wire harness that runs between the door and body of the car for a broken or frayed wire. Hope this helps you out.
+antoniobolgnameyerwe You may want to confirm that the switch is getting power to it and able to send power to the window motor. If it is not, and the fuses are good, check the wire harness that runs between the door and body of the vehicle for a frayed or broken wire that may need to be repaired. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com
I never could figure it out so I sold the car. Ridiculous really, but that was two windows that were virtually never used which totally stopped working and for which the cause was a total mystery. There were no frayed wires or loose harnesses, all the fuses checked out, got new switches and regulator/motors and still no luck, so I'm left assuming that the computer went bad.
Both rear windows in my camry do not go down or up and there does not appear to be a draw on the electrical system when I press the botton for either. Where would you start, or what would you check first to remedy that issue?

I would like to know from my power switch I don't know if you have a new video my passenger front window only goes up you can't go down I have to do it form my master power switch on the driver side and sometimes it don't work either when let's say I press the back rear window to go down the left hand side window goes down you know and I'm trying to do the right hand side or if I try to do the passenger front with the switch the rear left window goes down I don't know what the hell is going on I don't know if it's the switch itself cuz I bought one at eBay a whole new Switch controller and it's still doing the same thing so you can tell me what the problem is I can get down to the root of it and repair it I would appreciate it thank you if anybody know what the problem is I would appreciate any help thank you
Well I installed this part probably six months ago and everything was working fine until today the window came off the track wouldn't go back up. So I took it all apart to try and check it again and I noticed that the frame for the guide is bent so somehow that bent over I guess multiple times or something and now won't go all the way up.

Thank you for watching. You are going to need to remove the door panel to see where the noise is coming from. It is possible something was left loose. Depending on where the noise is coming from you can lube up the track with some spray lithium grease. You can also try and lube the run channel, where the window slides up and down. It is possible the windows sticking, that would allow it to run up and down smoothly. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
+Maihi Peterson In that case, you would have to remove the motor from the regulator if you could to free the regulator. Thanks for checking us out! 1AAuto.com
You may want to check the window regulator cable to see if it's hung up on something inside the door. If it is, you may need to free the window regulator cables up so that you can access the bolts. Ok so my window rolls up and down but when it gets to the top it shifts forward. Would my regulator beed to be replaced
so you have to reset the auto pinch, and do you reset it using the old window regulator or the new one?

You may want to check for a broken wire between the driver side door and the body of the car.
So my clips came off window and not sure what kind of adhesive should be used. I’m thinking something flexible but not .
When i changed the motor the black box got in the way of the glass. Is there any solution to this?
