Very nice series of video's. I remember from my holiday in Ireland in 1987 the sound of the trains very well. I remember hearing an A class without ever seeing it, becasue the railway was still 2 miles from where we were, those things were absolutely loud!
Thanks for some great history. I now understand the comments made about Limerick Junction on the Video 125 Western Corridor vid. And that diamond crossover on Platform 1! Awesome.
It had a loco at each end because it was a train with concrete sleepers, and might have had to unload these at a trackwork site on the main line outside a station or siding. To avoid the train having to run to the next station first to run the loco round for the return trip they topped and tailed the train.
.....the variety of traffic we had even in 1994. Keep em coming! Paul.
The 201 was fresh out of the box

What was the occasion having NIR 80 class over the boarder great to see I miss 80 class and 450 class.
The reason for the 80 class travelling south was for GAA football match. I don't know who was playing. Thanks for watching.
Not sure, could be failed loco in rear or it may be formed that way for easy shunting.
Gerry
