    OMG you make it look so simple and easy. I have everything and haven't even tried it once. I just keep watching. I'm not sure why ...I'm so weirded out about not doing it right that I won't even try it to fail...ugh tyvm much for your videos. For a beginner they are amazing!

    Lately I've been using the Zoya Naked Geliecure for my overlay and I LOVE IT. There is a bit of a learning curve, mainly that you only need the smallest amount of serum or it'll lift, but now that I've got it down, I get three weeks out of it! And I really love the easy soak off, less scraping and soaking means less damage to my nails. I think you would really like it!

      omg thanks for this! I picked up that set and some were saying it comes up fast. I saw many saying it worked but they didn't explain if there was a reason some weren't working. Thank you!

      @@effullgent You're welcome! The instructions say to use a pea-sized amount of serum to spread over all 10 fingers, but I use about half a pea instead. I also let it soak in for about 15 minutes before moving on to the base coat step, just to be sure it won't be too thick.

      I have the kit too, the gel lasted me about a half of day before I could start picking it off. I appreciate your tips on this. I'll try using less then the pea amount and letting it soak in before base too. Helpful! I really love the kit so I'm hoping to get longer wear. 💙

    Just a tip when applying the base gel. It helps if your sort of scrub it into the nail, it gives you better adhesion.

    Great video! That's exactly what I ended up doing on my own nails. I use Yayoge bottle gel in clear and just keep an overlay on them. So far, I haven't broken a nail. I'm loving gel in a bottle for an overlay! I want to try the Madam Glam when I can afford it. Loved your whole poly gel series, I didn't know that you had so much trouble, I'm glad your nail grew out fine. TBH, I have about 8 tubes unopened, it is just too messy to work with. One again, great video!

    Hi! I scrolled through the comments to see if anyone asked this and didn’t see the qn yet. If I wanted to add a gel polish colour on top or do a design like a French manicure (still using gel polish) at what step should that start? I see your final step was the top coat, would you put the colour on top of that or before? If the colour goes on top would the top coat be the top coat you used in order to seal it all in (after curing of the gel colour of course)? Hopefully you can let me know! Thx. This video was super helpful.

    Hi THANK YOU SO MUCH loved this so informative don,t be hung up about the haters and here is a hug from me. For us in the UK the Madam Glam works out expensive due to the inport tax but we do have other brands we can use. I see so many poeple love the Madam Glam stuff and say it is very good I am off to thiland very soon so I am going to take a look at some of there products. Do you apply tour normal none gel polish right over your gel top coat Take Care xx

    • @MoonlitandPolished
      @MoonlitandPolished 4 роки тому

      Susan One and only yes, I apply regular polish over top. I use a soy based nail polish remover to take the regular polish off because it doesn’t effect the gel underneath.

    Hi! I just found your videos and subscribed I’m so excited to have found you! I have been trying to do something similar to this while using regular polish on top. Can I just switch out the polish on top as usual, with nail polish remover?

    • @MoonlitandPolished
      @MoonlitandPolished 4 роки тому +1

      Yes, I do that all the time. Just be sure to use non acetone nail polish remover. Acetone will wear out the gel around the edges of your nail and you’ll have to redo the gel sooner. I use a soy polish remover (Ella & Mila make a good one), it easily removes the polish while not effecting the gel on the nail.

    Can someone tell me what “overlay” is or means? Is it builder gel? Polish? Gel polish? So confused!🥺

    • @MoonlitandPolished
      @MoonlitandPolished 4 роки тому +3

      Joan Baruch Omg, so sorry. I sometimes forget to explain things 🤦🏻‍♀️ An overlay is a thin layer of builder gel, polygel, or acrylic that is layered on a natural nail. Some people, like me, have thin nails that break often but have no trouble growing. Some others have nails that flair outward. The overlay is strong enough to keep the nails from breaking too easily or to keep the nail from flairing. So, if you don’t feel like getting a full set of nails but want help to protect or shape your natural nail, an overlay is a good option. I hope this was helpful 😊
