Derek, Javier's is becoming an empire. It started off a a little place in Laguna. We frequent the one at Crystal Cove (Newport Beach) now and it never disappoints. Whether you get the affordable combos or a special occasion steak and lob, everything is excellent. Some favorites: crab enchiladas, jumbo shrimp, scallops, chicken fajitas, fish specials, and a huge pork chop that is to die for. Staff is wonderful, decor stunning. Even their new "distancing" set up outside is incredibly beautiful & offers an ocean view & lovely sunsets. On Sundays the local exotic car folks show off their toys in the parking lot. Marché, across the parking lot, has excellent French food. There's also Mastro's Ocean Club but our experience there last week was a disaster. They can't seem to get their act together with service lately. So, take a little drive & come on down. Note: it gets *really busy* at night. We do lunches or early dinners.
I agree about the music being too loud. As a former Restaurant Manager I can say that you just don't turn on the music and you're set for the day. You need to adjust the level by how many people are in the Restaurant. Also if there is a bar/lounge area that should be a little louder than the Dining Room. Details matter in setting up the ambience of the Restaurant.
🤦Ok guys, you realize professional microphones like youtubers use pick up and magnify noises, right? It's not *that* loud in these restaurants. Lol. Yes it's loud but it's even louder because of that.
I'm so envious. And just think, I'm having Wisconsin brats for lunch. Keep bringing it on!! My trip in November to Vegas is going to be a eatathon !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As always, be safe Derek.
It's "restaurant Mexican" not "food truck Mexican." A place like Tacos el Gordo seems more down to earth and probably more intensely flavorful and authentic.
Forgot to add that the South of the Border cuisine looked scrumptious, as i'am positive it surely was. Looked good; taste I'am equally sure lived up to the plated food's great appearance, as the expressions on your satisfied face clearly demonstrated. I would definitely like to give it a try if I ever come out 'Vegas way.
Food at Javiers is ok however Been there a few times but Mexican food should not cost the price of a Regular steakhouse when it should be the most inexpensive food around Basically cheap eats in California But in Las Vegas your getting screwed
Hey guys My Hubby and me and coming to Vegas in October and we had heard of the new Mexican food place in Aria. But being from Texas we weren't sure about eating there. After seeing the review you guys did. We have decided to try it out. Thanks you two for such a great review. Have a great day.
Hi Derek. For fine Mexican dining the prices are comparable and the food looks delicious. How was the rice? I love rice and for me that can affect my meal. I usually don't eat Mexican food when I travel as I live in El Paso, TX and I was raised on Mexican food and eat alot of it but I really want to try this place. I agree about the music, way too loud. Thank you Derek and your Fiancee for a great review. Stay safe.
Hi Derek, I am planning to come to Las Vegas, next weekend, but I am worried about the flight and also the hotels. How are things from your prespective? I have read that cases are going up and vegas is a hot spot. We are planning to stay at Paris hotel and flying with Spirit. They fill the flight, and everyone does wear a mask. They don't check temperatures before boarding. I know vegas hotels are being well cleaned, but what about social distance when gambling? what about the pool area and restaurants? thanks Derek
Hi, I am excited about Javier's. Las Vegas has plenty of buffets and steak and Javier's stands out. The prices are expensive and the ingredients must be great.
From a city of great Mexican restaurants I can say your plates looked scrumptious. Your productions have been much better since you are not dining alone now.
Javier's certainly isn't cheap, but I wouldn't call it overpriced. The taquito appetizer Derek pictured is more than a meal for me and it's $14. Large salads a bit more. Traditional Mexican combos are around $25 now, I guess. Maybe once a year I'll splurge on the steak & lob, which is probably up to around $75. But the prices at other nice restaurants is similar. And Javier's is consistent.....I've never had a bad meal there EVER, and service is great. It's just a really fun & enjoyable place to lunch or dine. Last week we went to Mastro's (Crystal Cove) for my daughter's birthday....We had reservations 3 weeks in advance. Requested to sit inside by the tree. Instead we were seated in the parking lot annex, It was cold, the heater didn't work, we had a so-so meal, and terrible service. At nearly $400 I would call THAT overpriced.
Antojitos is the name of the mexican restaurant at Universal City Walk in Orlando and unlike most mexican restaurants it sells more traditional food . Another brilliant vlog Derek 👍🏻
Derek there's a new Mexican place that just opened in Vegas called The Taco Stand. We have a few of these in San Diego and they are really good. You have to do a review there. If you go get the sonora taco. I can picture your face right now on your first bite of one.
Another great video Derek! Chile rellenos are my go to entree in Mexican restaurants.I love Bonito Michoacán off the Strip. They have great weekday lunch specials. Aloha! 🌺
This is a great review!! The food looks amazing. The interaction between you and your fiance enjoying the food is great. I will try this place based on this review.
Looks really good. At those prices though, it should. That's crazy high prices for Mexican food, I know it's Vegas and all but damn 73.00 with no drinks?. I've never been there, but the place near me is a quarter of the price and I can't imagine anything tasting that much better. Thank you for your videos, and please stay safe. I enjoy your channel very much.
@@r0xjo0 yeah man I know, it's why I don't go there anymore. I don't mind paying for good food, but I'm not about to pay inflated prices. Heck, most hotels tack on a 45.00 per day "resort fee" now, and some even charge for parking. Screw all that, Vegas just isn't that special to me anymore, not at the rates they charge.
@lucaboden Add in a couple of margaritas per person at $15 or more each and that bill doubles in a hurry. It's freaking Mexican food and isn't worth that kind of money!
@@rogercollins3 OMG-$45 dollars a day? WTF!! I'm out! How about a breathing and standing tax, or pay extra every time you flush the toilet. GTFOH! That's insane!
Hey Derek!!! Glad you made it there! We make a bee 🐝 line there every trip to Vegas, we love it too, the other thing we noticed, you want for nothing, you are served quickly and they keep you supplied with out being too interrupted during your meal. Very pro service and really friendly people!
Your fiance knows her food. And Derek knows how to enjoy it. A perfect pairing 💑. Your solo videos were always excellent Derek, but with your fiance they are in a whole other league! 👍
Mexican food at its best ! Aria is fantastic the service & level of quality food is divine really well made to true Mexican style. Alot of hard work for the chefs credit to them & team Aria. But OMG! It's so worth dining there shall add this place to my bucket list when I visit. Hoping borders open up soon. Love the video your lovely lady speaks so well she pronounces these Mexican food names like a pro she's a great buddy for you Derek so happy for you both enjoying dining out together so romantic & mouthwatering fun ❤
Derek, cool vid, don't know how I missed this one. That place is cool (the Aria), never been to Javier's but it looked amazing. I would be interested to know how much you tip, if you care to share. I usually double the tax and maybe a bit more or less depending on service. Your tax was $6, this brings the bill to a whopping $91. Ouch, ouch, and more ouch! As good as the food looked, think about the times that we are in. Man I don't get it. Vegas should be running 50% off specials and all kinds of deals. It seems many of these folks just simply don't care about business. I get it, it's Vegas and I know the DNA of that city but still, just craziness. Love your vids as always...
That chile relleno was made with chile poblano not serano peppers. Serrano peppers are smaller than a jalapeño and extremely hot and that chile relleno was too big for it to be a serrano pepper. Authentic Mexican food is so rich in flavor and very nutritious, enjoy!! Thanks for sharing great videos Dereck! ❤
Take the food to go...and go sit at the tables in any food court. Most resort properties have them. Buy a soda or a drink at the food court and enjoy...many locations music would be better/quiter

No salsa or hot sauce to go with your food?
I would have put some fresh lime juice on that taco

Yup, that "music" is brutal.
It always amazing me that restaurants would want that loud music playing! Especially rap at a Mexican place! Lol!
However is in charge of the music should be deep fried and covered in sour cream
I wouldn't go just because of the music
🤦Ok guys, you realize professional microphones like youtubers use pick up and magnify noises, right? It's not *that* loud in these restaurants. Lol. Yes it's loud but it's even louder because of that.
I'm not one to talk about anxiety much....but that salsa at the beginning XD
"Best enchilada sauce I ever had" At those prices it better be. Enjoyed the video.
Love your expression when eating good food
Headed to Vegas for the weekend next week and your videos keep adding to my list of eats!
I'm so envious. And just think, I'm having Wisconsin brats for lunch. Keep bringing it on!! My trip in November to Vegas is going to be a eatathon !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As always, be safe Derek.
DEREK, TO WHAT LEVEL MUST THE SUSPENSE BUILD, BEFORE THE FUTURE MRS ALL YOU CAN VEGAS IS REVEALED ????? hehe LOVE THE SHOW
I love how you choose so many different types of foods. A great video!
Javiers has consistently been the best food to enjoy in aria las vegas for years now! great video Derrick!
Man $32 enchilada plate...kinda pricey eh?
It's the Aria in Las Vegas not a taco bell in a random town. There's 5,000$ slots steps away from the restaurant.
Yep it Las Vegas. I even pay 15 dollars for pancakes at the Wynn , I sure the price gone up since then. Your paying for atmosphere and union wages .
It's "restaurant Mexican" not "food truck Mexican." A place like Tacos el Gordo seems more down to earth and probably more intensely flavorful and authentic.
street tacos are unbeatable
And a lot less money..
I was thoroughly shocked at the bill.
@@hansendesigns I hear ya. Looked like the bill was $76 for 3 items, before tip and they drank water. So 90 bucks with tip seems pricey for me too..
Music ... intrusive to the dining experience. Agreed!

Looked good; taste I'am equally sure lived up to the plated food's great appearance, as the expressions on your satisfied face clearly demonstrated. I know it sounds pretty basic but Javier’s has the best steak quesadilla you will ever have.
Food at Javiers is ok however
Been there a few times but Mexican food should not cost the price of a
Regular steakhouse when it should be the most inexpensive food around
Basically cheap eats in California
But in Las Vegas your getting screwed
You can low-end and high-end restaurants that cater to any type of food. No rules just right.
Says who? You do realize that Mexican food in Mexico can be as cheap as $.25 in to $100 per meal, right?
You want it to be cheap because it's Mexican food, but what can be cheaper than just a cut of beef? Now that should be cheap.
Food looks great. I love Mexican food. I like paying a little less for my mexican though, but it did look good!
Been there many times. That food is “Juan in a million” 🌮
😂
Thank you for sharing your food experience, Derrick! Love your videos!
Would love a video of El Dorado Cantina. It appears to be the highest rated, most recommend Mexican Food in Las Vegas. I'm curious to try.
Noel Brito Sooo good. Quality food. Strong margaritas! Little weird it’s next to a strip club but whatever lol.
Another classic video Derrick. Good work brother.

Rice was good! I love rice too!!
We visited many Mexican restaurants in Vegas. Our favorite was Coyotes on Sunset in Henderson. Authentic at a much lower price!

Love this place but pretty over priced lol we go for special occasions they have locations in Irvine and Newport coast.
I take my fiancé here even though it is overpriced, she loves it

Javier’s is spot on! We go there every time we go to Vegas!
Looks good but the loud music is a deal breaker.
I was thinking that the entire video
I agree way too loud
The first thing I do when I enter a mexican restaurant is order a margarita. Then I order another one for dessert.
Also order one as a main meal.
That's my husband's MO too!
Derek, you obviously really enjoyed this meal. Nice to see!
Do you two finish everything you order or do you have the rest packed up and your fridge is full??
We eat it all!
