We only got network in Dirang and Jang, after that, there was no connectivity, but on day 13 of our course, since we got a buffer day, we were taken to network area ..so, technically you will only get network for the first week and last few days of the course
Hey can u tell how many days before the course ends can we be in the network zone...like bnc 39 ends on 17 Nov.. will we be back to base by 8th or 9th Nov.??
Watched all the parts. Wish i could have had the accumen and the weather to record my own bmc (36) journey like this 😁. This brought back recent memories. Congratulations on completing it :)
Thank you so much... I'm glad I recorded our course , can help others who wish to do the course from NIMAS and also will help refresh our sweet memories of the course...☺️
It will take some time for the next video, I'm traveling currently, and we will get the certificates within 2 months, and it will be delivered to our house
To get A , one has to perform well in all the activities, and on the other hand, if one doesn’t perform well in one, doesn’t mean they will get B. Just do your best.
Hei Simi. How are you? I am Kashmiri from Assam going for BMC 44th batch starting this September 25th. Can you please tell me which rucksack did you used? And what was the capacity? And how is the backpack quality given by institute? I have one 60L backpack from decathlon. Will it be sufficient? Please help.
Hi Kashmiri, I’m doing great. Thanks I used a Forclaz Trek 700 (70 + 10) L rucksack from Decathlon, and I feel you need 70 - 80 L bag for the course. I mean it’s not impossible to fit all the things in 60 L , but you could give it a try. From what I heard was that new rucksacks were issued after our batch, and most students do use the one provided by the Institute. So, honestly, I would suggest, take your 60L bag to Nimas, unless you are ready to invest in a 70 + 10, and you think you will need it in future for your expedition or other courses. So, if your things don’t fit in your 60L bag, you have the option of taking the bag given by the institute. But do carry a good needle and thread, just in case things come out loose.
@@wayfarersimi thank you dear Simi for your valuable suggestions. Can you please also give some light on the topic of female hygiene during periods, how to manage it during physical activities, using of pad or cups etc. it would be really helpful.
@@kashmiridutta6109 hey Kashmiri. So, I have been using Menstrual Cup for the last 4 years, and it is the best thing I can recommend to anyone girl. And It is really more hygienic than pads, especially the disposal part. Also, with so many activities involved, I would suggest you to use it too only if you have been using it. I do not recommend starting it just now, as it takes around 2-3 cycles to get used to it. But in the long run, if you can , that would be great. Also, some of us did have cramps on our 1st Day, so just speak to the female instructors and take it slow that day. The instructors are nice and they understand. It was my 2nd Day during the survival night, which made it little difficult when we had no toilet and had to go in the open , but I requested to keep a small face wash with me, and had my water bottle with me. You can also connect to me on Instagram if you need any more details or tips about anything. Have a lovely day and all the very best for your course.
