@@petergilveet6666 I heard Loudness for the first time when Crazy Nights was on the radio.I bought most of their early 80's albums and I still listen to them this day.I also heard other excellent Japanese metal bands that were around back then like Anthem and Earthshaker.
@@petergilveet6666 Loudness has sold millions of albums. They've been selling albums and touring since 1981 and STILL perform to sold-out arenas. The band has millions of fans. They're superstars.
There's this desire for people to think they have some secret and/or superior knowledge over everyone else. That's why they constant bleat, "Oh, John Sykes is so underrated. Jake E. Lee is so underrated. Warren DeMartini is so underrated." But those men some of the most famous, popular and influential guitarists in rock.
Neither Loudness nor Akira Takasaki are underrated in any way. They're wildly popular and massively influential.

That tapping part of the guitar solo was used in Deep Purple's Highway Star but there it was played by Jon Lord on the organ. I'm pretty sure it is a classical lick from like 400 years before though.
That’s like Accept incorporating Beethoven’s Fur Elise into the guitar solo of the song Metal Heart. One of the best guitar solos of the 80’s.

True! Yngwie definitely has incredible stamina but speed, execution and technical efficiency absolutely rivaled if not matched!

Saw these guys open up for Motley Crue on their theater of pain tour in 1985 in San Diego had never heard of this band but was blown away they blew Motley Crue out of the water! LOL
