This episode is now one of my favorites of the whole series. A solid, relatable moral, a great story, emotional moments, and some beautiful songs, this episode will tug at your heart strings. I adore this episode!

Any songwriters or music creators in the community should make a cover of it as an anthem
sadlobster1 Considering the talent we have in the musical part I have no doubts that they can make one.
When I saw this episode, I cried too. I still do and this is the 6th time I've seen it. It hits the soul in a good way.
With MLP: FiM nearing its end, I say this episode still holds strong specifically in terms of its strongest song in the entire series, “The Magic Inside.” All the other MLP songs throughout its run can never top it, especially since it’s performed by a Tony Award winner.
While most bronies had no clue who Lena Hall was at first until after her guest appearance here as Rara. I, on the other hand was not interested at all in MLP from the very beginning until Season 5, yet I knew who Lena Hall was since I watch the Tonys and then Neil Patrick Harris helping her become known because of them starring in Hedwig. That acceptance speech sure shocked me when she quoted the show.

Its fantastic how a tv cartoon can show and generate a lot of feelings with a single history.
Thank god you’ve preserved this reactions… season 5 was the very first season I started watching with the fanbase as it came out… the memories of 2015 and early 2016 still hit me good to this day… and mlp was the greatest show of the 2010s era… and the final song here was a beautiful example that has aged with grace

jeez, five seconds into each song, and i had goosebumps for the entirety of them.
I didn't even cry when "The Magic Inside" played. Only got goosebumps.

Oh yes, I absolutely enjoyed your reaction to this amazing, if not spectacular episode! The character of Rara is very special and easily my favorite supporting character in this series. That's why she has earned a spot in my lineup of MLP drawings! Rara is best pony pop star indeed!!😊
I hated the episode when I heard the pop song because I thought they were just making a pop music episode to reach young girls with shit taste in music. But then they turned it all on it's head and acknowledged that the shit pop music was worse then the normal singing. So I feel like the creators were trying to fight against the new pop music that is ruining music. So this episode goes to my top 5.

Agh...my heart...that last song just makes me tear up so much. It's such a beautiful message. I genuinly wish all of those high school kids who question themselves would listen to this...it's so...amazing.

To clear things up about RaRa because no one has said everything in one comment yet. The actress who voiced RaRa is Lena Hall. She is primarily known for her many Broadway roles including Demeter in Cats, Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors and Yitzhak in Hedwig and the Angry Inch. She won a Tony award for playing Yitzhak, and in her acceptance speech she said "friendship is magic" because she loved the show. She was contacted about doing an episode and she did it. The hair style and clothes are based on what she wore at the 2014 Tonys where she won her Tony. She is also known for playing Miss Audrey in Snowpiercer, her band The Deafening and for the many cover albums she has released. She reacted to this episode with her niece (who she also referenced in her tony speech) when it came out and it's on youtube. Warning if you are under 15 don't look into Snowpiercer or Hedwig and the Angry Inch as they are both 15+

This episode is one of my new favorites of the series the singing was absolutely amazing.
