First 519A I ever got was in a Convoy S21B with SMO reflector. The hotspot was rather tight and OP didn't change it much either. I use a 60deg beaded TIR and it's extremely floody now. @Weerapat I didn't notice ring patterns with the SMO in my S21B( same reflector as in S21A, right?). I just didn't want a throwy beam and that's why I switched the reflector.
This helped me understand the difference in Kelvin ranges. I'm curious, 519a in the 57k would present 'neutral' white .... if I understand correctly? 519s aren't lumen powerhouses to my understanding. They are more for high cri applications?
I have an SST20 2700K on an S2+, and even domed and on an old meager 1.4A driver, it throws a LOT with a reflector. Throws too much for EDC use, if you ask me. I put a pebbled 25º TIR on that SST20 and now it's very pleasant and balanced for my needs.
Love the warm leds. It would nice to see a comparison between a dedomed 519a 3500k, domed 519a 2700k, and the sst20 2700k. To see if the dedomed 519a can throw as far as the sst20. Thanks for the video.

Do you think the sst20 or the sft40 is a better thrower? I have a fenix pd25r very small light takes a 16340 battery. It has a sst20 led. It's a very impressive light for how far it throws.
I am just going to leave this here. I like higher CW tints in flashlights. Work lights, COB's lower tints are ok, as long as they don't go too low. Flashlights I like to not go any lower than 5500K, I prefer 6500K. That is just me

Same led sir. The difference is the flashlights. S21A uses 20mm driver. S21B uses 22mm driver. S21B's design is different than S21A. I didn't like 2700k sir but now I have changed my mind. Why? S21A LH351D 2700k was sent to me by mistake. I use it in my house. It's too orange. One day I went out for flashlight review and it rained, I turned on this flashlight which was equipped on my motorcycle. Wet asphalt road in darkness. With 6500k, you can see things clearly but with 2700-3000k, it's totally different! Now I love it very much. I use it every day on my motorcycle. I don't believe the warm emitters work so well for me. While I do have respect for those that prefer them, I believe they just don't work well for me for outside use. Maybe more for indoor use, a nightlight for camping, perhaps.

I can see where the warmer lights are useful in heavier air situations, such as high moisture in the air. What is your opinion of the 4000k LH351D? Is it much warmer then the 4500K 519a? Thank you.

@@jackanapes6676 2700K is the color temperature you want to use in rain or fog or snowy or misty conditions. As you go higher than 2700K, the scatter increases badly. If you want slightly more fog penetration than 2700K, then you need to get a proper red light, which also preserves your night vision sensitivity - but then it is such a specialist color, you will get sick of it soon. 2700K is a good compromise for general usage. Get a 2700K flooder & thrower before getting a red light flooder & thrower.

sst20 can candle 6ampere for long time or it may damage the led??
